SmackDown! vs RAW 2008 - SmackDown! Roster Revealed
Date Added: December 08, 2007
Story By: Will Hengelbrok
Time once again to cry about who’s been left out and rejoice at the inclusions of this year’s roster and so here they are across all five systems.

The obvious guys missing in action are:

The Boogeyman, Kendrick and London, Cade and Murdoch and no Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin which is an utter crime.

PS2, PS3, Wii and Xbox 360 Roster

Ashley: Typical choice. Another booby Diva.
Batista: Obviously.
Bobby Lashley: I hope his voice isn’t as squeaky and Mickey Mouse-like in the storymode.
Booker T: No King Booker… I hope that’s a mistake.
Candice Michelle: Another booby Diva, nothing more.
Carlito: I hope this year they’ll include his apple spitting in his taunt.
Chavo Guerrero: Good undercard, but it’s doubtful you’ll ever use him.
Chris Masters: See Chavo.
CM Punk: Here’s the character I guarantee we will all be playing. A great inclusion
Edge: Now, that THQ have sorted out his face Edge is not creepy to play.
Elijah Burke: A good choice.
Finlay: No Hornswoggle? WTF!!!
Gregory Helms: See Chavo.
Jeff Hardy: Hope there’s a Hardy Boyz storyline in here somewhere.
John Cena: Obviously.
Johnny Nitro: Who? Oh you mean John Morrison.
JTG: Recently fired, but should be fun to play as them.
Kane: Obviously.
Kelly Kelly: Gah! Gad no!!!!
Ken Kennedy: Wonderful, other than CM Punk, this guy will be my character.
Kenny Dykstra: See Chavo.
Marcus Cor Von: I wonder if THE POUNCE will be his finisher.
Matt Hardy: See Jeff.
Melina: Finally a female wrestler and not just a booby Diva.
Michelle McCool: See Melina
Mickie James: See Melina
MVP: Hope they include his long and crazy entrance.
Randy Orton: Wonder if he’ll come with room trashing finisher?
Rey Mysterio: Obviously.
Ric Flair: Wooooooo!!!!!
Sabu: Never thought he’d make it. Glad he did though.
Sandman: Wonderful. A great choice.
SHAD: See JTG.
Shawn Michaels: Obviously.
Snitsky: See Chavo.
The Great Khali:
Tommy Dreamer: Nice to see him in this game. He deserves it.
Torrie Wilson: Another booby Diva.
Triple H: Obviously.
Umaga: Another great choice.
Undertaker: Obviously.
William Regal: Shame he won’t be in the new GM mode.

Legends

Bret Hart: A great choice.
Mick Foley: Just Mick? Or as Cactus/Mankind/Dude Love?
Rick Rude: Again a great choice, but without Warrior who would he be fighting?
Roddy Piper: Wonderful.
Steve Austin: Oh Hell Yeah!!!!
Terry Funk: With Mick here too this should lead to some great hardcore matches.
The Rock: Bald or Nation Rock?

PSP Roster

Thankfully the entire roster has made its way over to the PSP (hopefully this means that there will be cross-over compatibility with the PS2/PS3 versions). One odd point is the inclusion of two extra Legends, Eddie Guerrero and Sgt Slaughter. Again, I’m hoping this means that you can unlock them and play in the other versions.

Nintendo DS Roster

For those of you playing on your DS, you may feel slighted that you’ll only be getting 21 characters, but then with a few exceptions at least they are all characters you’d want to play. Here is the list, as you can see there are no Legends for the DS version of the game… however at least you get to play as Snitsky right?

Batista
Bobby Lashley
Booker T
Carlito
CM Punk
Edge
Finlay
Gregory Helms
Jeff Hardy
John Cena
Johnny Nitro
Kane
Ken Kennedy
Randy Orton
Ric Flair
Shawn Michaels
Snitsky
Triple H
Undertaker

Non Playable Characters:

Ashley
Melina

Jonathan Coachman
