Puerto Rican wrestling Superstars are set to appear in South Florida on Saturday April 5th, 2008 for the IWZ " Independent Wrestling Zone ", a new South Florida wrestling company based out of the Miami area.
Such stars include the 6'10 monster " Black Pain " from Carlos Colon's camp the World Wrestling Council (WWC) as well as recently departed WWC Superstar and now IWA star Ash Rubinsky along with other Puerto Rican talents who now reside through out Florida, Super Gladiator, Anarchy, Bad Boy & Shadow and long time Puerto Rican wrestling star now turned manager and manger to wrestling legend Scott Hall, Rico Casanova, will also be appearing.
The flood of Puerto Rican stars does not end there as popular Latin musician Tito Puente Jr. the son of the late great Latin percussionist and Jazz legend Tito Puente will also be on hand as a special invited ring announcer on the IWZ's debut event in Homestead Florida.
The event also includes appearances by former Miami resident and Latin wrestling legend formerly of the NWO and TNA's LAX, Konnan, as well as local and fan favorite former WCW Hardcore Champion " The Big Wiggle " Norman Smiley, former tag team champion & WWE Superstar Heidenreich.
The event will also feature some of Florida's top independent talents such as the 650 pound Maximum Capacity, Scott Commodity, Tommy & Johnny Vandal, The Falcon, Lou Cypher, masked Luchadors " Los Santos De Latin America (Saints Of Latin America) and much more.
The main event for IWZ's debut show is a " No Rules, Falls Count Anywhere " match featuring the Puerto Rican monster Black Pain vs the wildly popular Florida star " The Sheik " , the only man to be blessed by the family of the original Sheik (Ed Farhat ) to continue the legacy of one of pro wrestling's most intriguing iconic characters who is played by Joey Machete/Na$daq of the famed Independent wrestling Market Crashers tag team who also found success in Puerto Rico early on in their careers, others who found fame in Puerto Rico, " Soul Man " Alex G & " Ram Man " Johnny Evans will also be on hand.
