MCPWrestling.com Article: JACOBS vs. ABERCROMBIE
Date Added: April 20, 2008
Story By: Mike Anthony Dombrowski

Last May, MTV Superstars Jimmy Jacobs and Josh Abercrombie made their way to MCPW. As the “MTV InVasion” Abercrombie defeated opponent after opponent while Jacobs stood in his corner as his manager, often times getting involved in the match to help Abercrombie gain his victories.

Last year’s Battle Ground 2007 featured Josh Abercrombie and Jimmy Jacobs practically running the show. From match to match, taking over everything from announcing duties all the way to the end of the show where Josh Abercrombie walked out of the Kaliseum with the MCPW World Championship around his waist after pinning Zach Gowen.

The MTV InVasion was looking strong as Josh gained victories and the MCPW World Title, but in October of 2007, Jacobs didn’t attend the MCPW Show, and wasn’t in the corner of his pal Josh Abercrombie. Abercrombie still walked out the MCPW World Champion after defeating Jimmy Shalwin, but made a remark about doing it without Jacobs. Little did we know at this time, Jacobs was laying in wait, healing up from his injury, and plotting the rise of The Age of the Fall.

December’s MCPW event witnessed Tyler Black vs. Josh Abercrombie for the MCPW World Championship in a Battle of the MTV Stars. Josh made Black tap out, and retained his championship, however, Jacobs was in the building and much speculation was going on about what his agenda was for the evening.

It turned out that Jacobs was fed up with Abercrombie over shining him since their debut in MCPW, and aligned himself with Tyler Black, beginning a chapter of The Age of the Fall in MCPW. It was then announced that at MCPW’s 1 Year Anniversary Show, properly named “The Age of the Fall” that Jimmy Jacobs would take on Josh Abercrombie for the MCPW World Championship.

In their first MCPW meeting Jimmy Jacobs captured the Championship from his former friend Josh Abercrombie with some help from Tyler Black. The crowd didn’t take to kindly to the actions of The Age of the Fall, and Abercrombie didn’t either, after the match he immediately challenged Jimmy Jacobs to a rematch for the MCPW World Championship, and Jacobs accepted. However, Tyler Black would have his hands full and wouldn’t be able to get involved in the match as he would take on TNA Superstar Chris Sabin at Battle Ground 2008!

Now, the stage is set and everything is ready to go. On Saturday. May 17th in Kalkaska, Michigan at the Kaliseum, in the main event of Battle Ground 2008, it will be MCPW World Champion Jimmy Jacobs defending his Title against the former champion, and his former friend Josh Abercrombie.
