DAY ONE: N~Con's Revenge! NECRO BUTCHER vs. "DeeeeeeeLICIOUS" JIMMY DeMARCO Jimmy Demarco has seen his fair share of controversy during his time in professional wrestling, yet his path never really crossed with IWC promoter N-Con until he reached the finals of the IWC heavyweight title tournament in October, 2008 at “Promotional Consideration Paid For By the Following” along with Shiima Xion. That night, Demarco appeared to gain new respect from not only Xion and the IWC locker room, but the fans as well. When N-Con shockingly turned his back on Xion at January’s “A New Beginning: Woooo!”, he stated that Ray Rowe was his hand-picked champion, and that wrestlers like Xion and Demarco should not have been representing IWC in a championship match. Following that night’s main event, Demarco publicly took offense to these words, and let it be known that he was declaring war on N-Con. This led to “Accept No Limitations 5” in March. N-Con was unable to be in attendance, but had scheduled Rowe to defend the IWC title against Chest Flexor. After an expected easy win, Demarco came out to spoil Rowe’s celebration. Demarco pointed out that last year, he was named as the second-in-command when N-Con wasn’t around, and on this night, that put him in charge. He made a championship match between Rowe and Xion, and even assisted Xion in retaining the title, who then announced he was taking the title wit h him to Mexico and the AAA promotion. IWC’s “Night of Legends 2009” three weeks later saw Xion get the best of Rowe once more, only to be ambushed in the locker room by N-Con’s apparent mercenaries of Rowe, Shane Taylor, Jake and Dave Crist of the Irish Airborne, and Logan Shulo, allowing N-Con to reclaim “his“ championship belt. Later in the evening, however, N-Con was assaulted by Demarco, who then took the championship, and returned in to Xion before he departed for South of the border. This all leads to Super Indy VIII, Night One on May 15th at the Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth, PA. In what is being called “N-Con’s Revenge”, Demarco must face one of the most dangerous men in the sport- The Necro Butcher! Necro has been in professional wrestling for eleven years, and in that time has left broken and bloody bodies in his path of destruction. He started to gain notoriety for his death-match style matches in IWA-Mid South, CZW, and elsewhere. These brutal matches led to a cult following, and eventually he was brought into Ring of Honor by former IWC competitor Jimmy Jaco bs to join his crusade in the Age of the Fall, where the bloodshed continued. After breaking out on his own, Necro was featured in the recent theatrical release “The Wrestler” starring Mickey Rourke, and his legend as a hardcore icon and cult favorite continued to grow. Apparently, Necro is available to the highest bidder, and in this case, that would be N-Con. What kind of carnage will he bring to IWC in his debut at Super Indy VIII, Night One? Will Demarco be able to fend off the challenge, or will “N-Con’s Revenge” be the end of “The Prince of Perversion” in IWC? The only way to find out is to be in Elizabeth, PA on May 15th!
No Disqualification - For the #1 Seed in Super Indy VIII! DELIRIOUS vs. "THE NEW HORROR" SAMI CALLIHAN IWC officials have signed a no disqualification match as IWC Super Indy Champion Delirious will take on "The New Horror" Sami Callihan! In January at A New Beginning Woooooo, Delirious and his manager/friend/translator Daizee Haze were involved in a mixed tag team match against Callihan and Daffney. While Delirous was down on the floor and Daizee was distracted by Daffney, Callihan snuck in and gave The Haze a disgusting Back Drop Driver on her head to pick up the win. When Delirious took on Elijah Burke at Accept No Limitations 5, Burke kept making comments towards Daizee, and Delirious was obviously distracted in his attempts to protect her. Delirious wants revenge against Callihan, but will he be able to focus? UPDATE: Callihan challenged Delirious for his spot in Super Indy VIII on Day Two, the #1 Seed! Delirious (through the interpretation of Daizee Haze) accepted the challenge! Can Callihan pull out the upset victory? Will Delirious even make it to Day Two?
4-on-3 Handicapped Match: IRISH AIRBORNE, RAYMOND ROWE, & SHANE TAYLOR vs. THE GAMBINO BROTHERS & ERIC XTASY IWC Tag Team Champions the Irish Airborne have apparently been hand-picked by IWC's notorious promoter N-Con to be the champions. Along with Shane Taylor, Airborne are part of what N-Con's vision for IWC is. But two teams have a problem with that: The Gambino Brothers and Sexual Harassment. After N-Con screwed both teams out of the IWC Tag Team Titles, they're out for revenge, and they'll seek it in the form of N-Con's golden boys! With Idol entered into Super Indy VIII, his partner Eric Xtasy will team with longtime rivals the Gambino Brothers! This is a situation where "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" rings true! Can Xtasy and the Gambinos get along for this huge 6-man tag on Night 1? UPDATE: IWC Promoter N~Con has inserted his hand-picked IWC World Heavyweight Champion Raymond Rowe into the match, making it an uneven 4-on-3 handicapped match! Can the Gambinos & Xtasy overcome all the odds to pick up the win?
To Determine The #2, #3, & #4 Seeds in the Super Indy VIII Tournament on Day Two: COLT CABANA vs. SUPER HENTAI vs. "FABULOUS" JOHN McCHESNEY History was made in March 2002 when Super Hentai won the very first Super Indy Tournament. Some experts say that Hentai set the standard. After defeating Orion, CM Punk, and Christopher Daniels all in one night, Hentai continued on through most of 2002 and the beginning of 2003, retaining the title against wrestlers like Colt Cabana, Jerry Lynn, and BJ Whitmer. He carried the title for nearly one year, through the top talent in IWC as well as Japan, before losing to AJ Styles (thanks to outside interference). When Super Indy II came around in May 2003, Hentai was shockingly defeated in the first round by "Classic" Colt Cabana. Later that night, Cabana made history, becoming the first person to win both the IWC Super Indy Championship and the IWC Heavyweight Championship. Cabana went through Hentai, Sterling James Keenan, and Matt Stryker to become Super Indy Champion that night. In April 2005, "Fabulous" John McChesney put on one of the most inspirational performances in the history of the International Wrestling Cartel. After quickly rolling up CM Punk in the opening round, he defeated local favorite that year, Glenn Spectre in the semi-finals. But in the finals, he was met with a violent, determined man known as Low Ki. Ki had decimated Jason Gory in the opening round, and even his trainer, Homicide, in the semi-finals. Now, McChesney was the only man in his path to complete domination of the Super Indy IV tournament. But Ki became over-zealous. His will to win was his downfall, as he refused to release a chokehold on McChesney while McChesney had Ki's shoulders pinned to the mat. Since then, McChesney has become the face of IWC's Super Indy division, winning the title a record 5 times. These three men, three of the most important names in the history of the IWC Super Indy Tournament, all enter in the quarter final round, recieving a bye through the first night of the tournament. But, their positioning in the tournament has yet to be decided. IWC officials have determined the best way to find out who is the best is to pit all three men in the ring at the same time! The winner of the bout will enter the Super Indy Tournament on May 16th at the #2 seed!
PLUS, THE FIRST ROUND OF THE SUPER INDY VIII TOURNAMENT!
Super Indy VIII Opening Round Match: ELIJAH BURKE vs. MICHAEL "THE BOMBER" FACADE Another first round match for Super Indy VIII has been announced! “The Elijah Express” return to IWC as Elijah Burke make his Super Indy debut to face Michael “The Bomber” Façade in an opening round match. Both Burke and Façade earned their way into the tournament at “Accept No Limitation 5” on March 7th. Burke defeated Super Indy V winner Delirious, while Facade defeated Logan Shulo to earn their spots. Despite Burke having been a professional wrestler for only less than five years, he still has the edge in experience in this match, as Façade has been a pro for shortly over two years. Both men view the Super Indy tournament in different ways. For Burke, winning the tournament would return him to the top of the independent wrestling scene, similar to when he held the OVW heavyweight championship in 2004/2005. For Façade, a win would cement his status as a rising star not only in IWC, but in the wrestling world in general. Before either man can worry about winning the tournament finals, they first have to win their first round match. Unfortunately for one of them, the only thing standing in either Burke’s or Façade’s way is each other. This match, along with the rest of the first round matches in Super Indy VIII, takes place on May 15th at Court Time Sports Center in Elizabeth, PA.
Just Announced! Super Indy VIII Opening Round Match: JOEY RYAN vs. JASON GORY Joey Ryan will make his IWC debut on May 15th in Super Indy VIII! The former PWG Heavyweight Champion, former NWA World Tag Team Champion, and former Wrestling Society X star will be taking on one of the top young stars in IWC today, former IWC Tag Team & Super Indy Champion, Jason Gory! Since his former tag team championship partner Shiima Xion has been finding singles success, Gory has been looking for singles gold on his own. His first opportunity comes in the form of Super Indy VIII! Meanwhile, Joey Ryan knows that first impressions last forever. His first match in IWC could make or break his career in the company, so he'll be looking to make a lasting impression on IWC fans and officials alike. If either man wins, they move on to Day 2 and the quarter-final round in Super Indy VIII! Can Gory find singles success like Shiima? Or will Joey Ryan find his own success in his IWC debut?
Super Indy VIII Opening Round Match: TONY KOZINA vs. JUSTIN IDOL IWC Officials were saddened to learn that Paul London canceled off of a convention in California he was supposed to appear on this past weekend. This makes the third weekend in a row where London has canceled out of bookings, and IWC Officials were no longer willing to take a chance. London is replaced in Super Indy VIII by rugged veteran Tony Kozina! Kozina has held gold all across North America, from the East Coast to the West Coast and everywhere in between, including the prestigious NWA World Jr. Heavyweight Championship and the NWA Canada Jr. Heavyweight Championship! He also has other contributions to the Super Indy Tournament, training Super Indy VII finalist, Super Indy VIII competitor, and current ROH World Tag Team Champion, Davey Richards! Recent outings in other top promotions such as ROH and CHIKARA have seen Kozina in top form. Kozina will be meeting former 2-time IWC Tag Team Champion Justin Idol in Day One's opening round. Idol will have to rely on his quickness and agility against the more experienced and world-traveled Kozina. Will his IWC debut be a successful one? Or will Idol have a break-out singles weekend with Super Indy VIII?
Super Indy VIII Opening Round Match: 2 COLD SCORPIO vs. DAVEY RICHARDS The first opening round match on May 15th will be Davey Richards taking on 2 Cold Scorpio! Last year, Davey made it through former Super Indy Champion Troy Lords and former IWC World Heavyweight Champion Ricky Reyes to make it to the finals. But, Scorpio's reputation speaks for itself. He is one of the most influential aerial innovators in the history of professional wrestling. Can he add one more accolade to his already stacked resume by becoming Super Indy Champion?
DAY TWO: The Quarterfinal, Semi-Final, and Final Rounds of the Super Indy VIII Tournament, plus much much more! Based on their previous Super Indy accolades, four men will recieve a bye to the quarterfinal round: Super Indy I winner Super Hentai Super Indy II winner "Classic" Colt Cabana Super Indy IV winner "Fabulous" John McChesney Super Indy V winner Delirious Hentai, Cabana, McChesney, and Delirious will all face four winners from Friday night's Super Indy opening round!
