JUDAS YOUNG CAPTURES ISPW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP AT SUMMER RUMBLE; DANNY INFERNO RETURNS AS THE JOKER AND DESTROYS YOUNG; 60 MINUTE IRON MAN MATCH SET FOR AUGUST 22ND!
--For Immediate Release 7/14/09
Judas Young captured the ISPW World Heavyweight Championship this past Saturday night in Freehold, NJ by winning Summer Rumble after eliminating Rick Fuller. Young, who started the match as the number two entrant, overcame the odds and went through nineteen other competitors to capture the title he's worked his entire career for. He wouldn't have that much time to celebrate the victory however, as Danny Inferno made his return to the ISPW Arena dressed as The Joker and destroyed Young following the match.
Inferno, who retired the ISPW World Heavyweight Champion at Highway Robbery after winning the title in a Triple Threat Match against Josh Daniels and Young, obviously faked his retirement to play mind games with not only Young, but the entire ISPW, as every wrestler came out last show to bid their farewells to the sixteen year veteran.
After Inferno attacked Young and layed him out following the Summer Rumble match, he grabbed the microphone and began to explain exactly why he did what he did. He said since he left World Wrestling Entertainment, he had two goals when returning to ISPW. The first was to win the ISPW World Heavyweight Championship, which he did at Highway Robbery. His second goal was to end Judas Young's career, which he intended to do this past Saturday night. He viciously assulted Young, including giving him a piledriver that left him motionless for several minutes.
ISPW General Manager Nicholas Nice came out and signed what will, with no question, be the biggest match in the history of ISPW for August 22nd at the ISPW Arena in Freehold, NJ. Techically, Inferno is still the ISPW Champion since he retired as champion and never lost the title. Young, who won the Summer Rumble match, is also the ISPW Champion. It will now be Champion vs. Champion to crown the Undisputed ISPW World Heavyweight Champion when Inferno collides with Young on August 22nd. This will not be any regular match though. This will be a 60 Minute Iron Man Match! Whoever scores the most pinfalls in an hour will be declared the winner and the Undisputed ISPW Champion!
Nicholas Nice's "Mystery Entrant...Entrant" turned out to be a huge let down to ISPW fans as it turned out to be Nice himself entering the match. That's not before Mr. Kennedy's music hit and the ISPW Arena went crazy waiting to see the recently released WWE Superstar. Nice came out and asked the crowd if they were expecting someone else. He then announced himself as "Mr. Personality......Personality." Judging by the looks on the faces of those in attendance this past Saturday night, it's a safe bet that Nice is probably the most hated man in the history of ISPW.
The ISPW Arena did get a surprise though, as Jimmy "Superfly" Snuka made an unadvertised appearance in the Summer Rumble match. Snuka tossed out Nicholas Nice to the delight of the crowd. Snuka was then quickly tossed out by Rick Fuller, who racked up SIX eliminations in the Rumble match Saturday evening. Fuller, who looked as though he was a shoe-in to win the match, was upsetted by Young at the conclusion of the Rumble match. In what woud be compared to the way Chris Benoit eliminated Big Show some years ago in a Royal Rumble setting, Young struggled to get Fuller to have his feet hit the floor and be discarded from the bout, as Young slowly scratched and clawed from Fullers grasp, onlt to slip through the bottom rope, in the same fashion Benoit did to become Heavyweight Champion!
Former TNA Knockout Roxxi also made a surprise appearance in the Rumble match, which got a huge reaction from the ISPW Arena. Roxxi, who defeated Brooke Carter in Divas action earlier in the evening, eliminated "The Midnight Idol" Nicky Benz. When throwing Benz out of the match, Benz's wig came off his head and Roxxi was holding it in her hand when Benz went flying over the top rope. Shocked that she was holding a wig in her hand, Julio Dinero came up from behind and eliminated her from the match.
ISPW ring announcer Ean Levy was also thrown into Summer Rumble. Levy has been asking Nicholas Nice for a raise as of late, only to be denied one after every request. Nice came out and told Levy if he wanted a raise, to get into the ring and earn one! Levy, who nervously tried to explain to Nice that he isn't a wrestler, entered the match anyhow. Levy, excited that he was about to receive his raise, turned around and saw Rick Fuller standing behind him. Levy, realizing a raise wasn't worth his life, quickly eliminated himself from the match. Levy then announced, "I've been eliminated," as the ISPW Arena erupted into laughter.
Speaking of Levy, he went into Nice's office earlier in the evening to ask for a raise. Baby Hughie, who is trying to secure a job in ISPW, had just brought Nice in a sandwich. Nice flipped out and smashed the sandwich in Levy's face. While this was going on, Hughie stole a number out of the bingo cage for the Rumble match. Needless to say, Nice will not be happy about this!
A mysterious person dressed in a black druid-like outfit also appeared during the Rumble match, which distracted Crowbar and Judas Young tossed him out of the match. Earlier in the evening during Crowbar's I Quit Match against Fuller, this same person jumped Crowbar and costed him his match. Was this mysterious person the "HE" character that Crowbar keeps referring to? And if so, exactly who is it? This situation continues to get more bizarre every show.
