Out of the twenty participants in UFC 87: Seek and Destory from Minneapolis, Minn, only four received medical suspensions following the event. MMANews.com received the details from the Minnesota Combative Sports Commission (MCSC)
Both main event fighters, Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre and Jon Fitch, were issued 30 day medical suspensions due to cuts sustained in the five round battle that seen St. Pierre successfully defend the title after dominating Fitch for most of the fight.
Dan Evensen, who made his UFC debut, losing to Cheick Kongo via a first round TKO was also suspended for 30 days and must pass a CT scan before being cleared to fight.
The final suspension issued was given to Ryan Thomas for cuts received in his second round submission loss to TUF 6 alumni, Ben Saunders.
