EliteXC announced today that it would be cancelling it's planned September 20th event that was set to take place from Albuquerque, NM.
The event was set to have hometown fighter Joey Villasenor in the main event against an opponent that was never named.
No exact reason was given for the cancellation of the show but with numerous events coming up under the ProElite banner, as well as the third installment of Saturday Night Fights on CBS set for October 4th, it could be assmued that the company decided to focus it's attention on the CBS card as opposed to putting efforts into the Sept. 20th card.
