The fight fans have been waiting for between Gina Carano and Cristiana (Cyborg) Santos has added some extra flavor to it. The fight will be for the 145-pound Womenβs title and it will be contested under 5 5-minute rounds.
ESPN.com reported the fight would take place August 15th live from San Jose, California.
This sets a big change, after heavy criticism from fans for allowing women only three three-minute rounds. History will be made August 15th when two of the highly ranked women clash for the title under five minute rounds; something that has never been done in the history of the sport.
