Mirko Cro Cop Not Signed To DREAM? Still Wants To Fight

Mirko Cro Cop has revealed his intentions, once again, stating he has not signed a contract with DREAM and is still undergoing the discussions. He is still interested in fighting for the UFC, but the key factor is he wants to fight three more times this year and is unsure if the UFC is willing to allow him to fight that amount before the yearâ€™s end.

Cro Cop spoke to Index.HR and had the following to say â€œI have nothing to hide or to be ashamed of. This thing is very simple. I know the truth and Dana knows the truth â€“- I had a one fight deal with UFC and I fulfilled my contractual obligation. I said weâ€™re gonna sit down and talk after UFC 99. The problem is Iâ€™m 35 and Iâ€™m finally healthy. UFC is offering me a fight six months from now. Even before UFC 99 I said that wonâ€™t work for me, but they said something like theyâ€™re gonna change it. I said even before that I wanna fight three more times this year, I donâ€™t really care if itâ€™s in the ring or Octagon. I still stand behind my words and I know the best fighters are in the UFC, but if theyâ€™re offering me the next fight in six months I donâ€™t see how I could take it. I havenâ€™t signed anything yet with any organization and as I said â€” Iâ€™m prepared to talk with both sides. Iâ€™ve never been in a sweeter yet more difficult position. DREAM offers me more fights, but at the other hand Iâ€™m aware of the quality that is in the UFC.â€

Cro Cop was blasted at the conclusion of UFC 99 when news spread that he signed with the Japanese promotion DREAM. Cro Cop denied the reports and to this day still denies reports of him signing a contract with DREAM.
