Hamill Had A Torn ACL Against Bisping; Babalu Fined

- As it turns out Matt Hamill actually had a torn ACL during his match with Michael Bisping at UFC 75 in London, England earlier this month. After Hamill lost by split decision there was talk of a potential rematch, however, if he needs surgery on his knee he’ll be out at least six to eight months. Furthermore, with Bisping dropping down a weight class, there may never be a rematch between the two.
- 24MMA.com is able to confirm that Renato Babalu was fined $25,000 (half of his purse) for choking out then refusing to break the hold on David Heat during their match at UFC 74. Babalu held on at least four seconds causing Heath to black out. Babalu was fired from UFC a few weeks ago over the incident.
