- WWE is touting the following: As reported on Business Wire Jan. 7, Digital Blue, a leader in electronics and software for the youth and teen markets, announced today that they had agreed on a partnership with WWE, as well as LEGO Systems and Bakugan. The deal will see Digital Blue start producing digital cameras, MP3 players, alarm clock radios and other technological products specifically marketed toward the WWE Universe.
- WWE is also touting this regarding WWE Kids: As reported on FolioMag.com Jan. 1, WWE took a chance in the recent economic downturn by launching the new WWE Kids magazine in 2008 which has turned out to be a profitable success. In 2009, WWE expects to increase the number of issues from last year’s bi-monthly releases to nine, as well as debut WWE Kids Mexico, WWE Kids Spain and four to six other international versions of the magazine.
- Recently released WWE star Gene Snitsky resurfaced at a WWC show in Puerto Rico over the weekend. He lost to Eugene. Former ECW stars Elijah Burke & Armando Estrada also teamed up on the show, losing to a tag team called Thunder & Lightning.
- The 1/2/2009 edition of WWE’s Friday Night SmackDown scored a 2.1 cable rating, up from last week’s 2.0 rating.
