Tonight's Labor Day edition of Monday Night RAW kicks off from Washington, DC with The Nexus standing in the ring and the crowd booing them...
- After four weeks on the chart, the WWE: Starrcade: The Essential Collection DVD set remains at No. 1 on this week's Video Sales - Recreational Sports DVD chart on Billboard. The WrestleMania XXIV DVD set has also seen a resurgence as it finished at No. 2 this week. Other WWE titles featured on the chart include DVD sets on Edge, The Rock, Hell in the Cell, Ric Flair, and "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.
- Lilian Garcia is doing rare house show duty this week as she is working SmackDown/ECW's ongoing tour of Mexico, which kicked off at the Plaza de Toros La Luz in LeΓ³n, Guanajuato this past Thursday. Lilian is on tour to handle the ring announcing as she is bilingual and speaks fluent Spanish, which helps the live audience immensely.
- This past Wednesday night, WWE threw an Oscar party at Haven in Beverly Hills, California. The party was thrown in honor of the "25th Anniversary of WrestleMania" (though technically, the 24th). The party featured interactive and online gaming experiences, as well as a number of WWE Superstars including reigning WWE World Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz, Melina, Kelly Kelly, Maria, WWE Divas Champion Maryse, Kofi Kingston, and Cody Rhodes.
Hollywood's A-list was also out in full force at the event as it was attended by such celebrities as TV personality Corinne Kaplan, actor Gonzalo Menendez, singer Aaron Carter, rapper DJ Paul, Brittny Gastineau & Lisa Gastineau of the hit TV show Gastineau Girls, actor Brian White, actress Ashley Scott (John Cena's co-star in WWE's next highly anticipated feature film, 12 Rounds), actor Jonathan Bennet, Smoking Everywhere's Ferdinand Bare, TV personality Casey Reinhart, actress Kim Hidalgo, and TV personality Vicki Roberts.
- WWE officials have reached out to seven-time WWE Women's Champion Trish Stratus about returning for one more match at WrestleMania 25, reports SLAM! Wrestling. If this were to happen, while it's a long shot, her probable opponent would be former WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool.
