Bobby Lashley's Next Fight Possibly Pushed Back To May

Pro Wrestler turned Mixed Martial Artist Bobby Lashley was expected to make his return to Pro MMA Promotion Strikeforce next month at their Strikeforce: Nashville event on April 17.

Strikeforce finalized the lineup with preliminary bouts, that will not air on CBS. Lashley was not listed in the final lineup. Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker spoke last month on Lashley’s next fight stating he wanted to put him on the CBS card, but no opponent was named.

MMAJunkie.com is reporting that Lashley will likely fight on their May 15th card, which airs live on Showtime. An opponent for Lashley has not been named, and the date for his next fight has yet to be confirmed.

Lashley is coming off a decisive victory over former UFC heavyweight Wes Sims at 2:06 minutes of the first round in his debut with the promotion. Lashley, 5-0, spoke to the media following the fight making it known he wants to fight the elite heavyweights in the promotion, naming guys like Bret Rogers and Alistair Overeem.

Bobby Lashley has not commented on his status and any possible fights he may have been offered.
