Spoilers: WWE NXT Tapings - 7/27/10
Date Added: July 27, 2010
Story By: Steve Carrier
Dark Match:

1. Alberto Del Rio defeated Matt Hardy. Del Rio won via submission with an arm bar.

NXT, Airing Tonight:

The show opened with the pros onstage, while the rookies were in the ring. The rookies were given 30 seconds to talk about anything other than why they shouldn't be eliminated. Eli Cottonwood said he can take on Undertaker. Husky Harris spoke about beating MVP.

Kaval spoke about dreams and mentioned that he fought for decades as Low-Ki. Michel McGillicutty said not to worry about his topic because he won the immunity challenge last week. He recalled Miz saying he's mediocre. Miz told him to get a contract and then come talk to him.

Alex Riley spoke about Starbucks. He also dissed Kaval and Percy Watson and said everything revolves around him. Percy spoke about having a good time, and said his motto is work hard, play harder.

1. Percy Watson (w/MVP) defeated Zack Ryder. Watson is wrestling without his glasses. Watson won with a float over DDT followed by the standing 180 splash.

John Morrison and Eli Cottonwood watched footage from the obstacle course last week. It was a funny segment. JoMo told Cottonwood he has a match with McGillicutty. Cottonwood said he's not worried.

2. Mike McGillicutty (w/Kofi Kingston) defeated Eli Cottonwood (w/John Morrison). Ben Roethlisberger, er, McGillicutty won with a running, swinging neckbreaker sort of move. He is now 5-0, while Cottonwood is 2-2.

Husky Harris bumped into Kaval backstage and said they would have fun tonight while referring to him as "Small Fry." Kaval agreed that they would have fun.

3. Husky Harris over Kaval. Husky accidentally knocked down LayCool. Kaval was distracted, and Husky hit his inverted suplex and got the win.

Matt Striker told the pros to get their votes ready because the elimination is up next.

The poll went Michael McGillicutty, Kaval, Alex Riley, Percy Watson, Lucky Cannon, Husky Harris, and then Eli Cottonwood. Thus, Eli Cottonwood was eliminated.

Eli gave the mic back to Striker and attacked Husky. Riley got involved, but Eli took him out. On the stage, Morrison comforted Cottonwood. However, Eli shoved him and walked away.

Husky got big heat after saying this is his dream and he deserves to win. McGillicutty said he'll be undefeated and win NXT. Riley slammed Eli, and said he knows he's better than McGillicutty and Kaval. McGillicutty and Riley brawled. Eli returned and attacked Harris, then he attacked Lucky Cannon.

After the cameras stopped rolling, Eli continued his beatdowns and finally left with McGillicutty and Kaval looking clueless.
