- As a part of the WWE and Vince McMahon's on going plan to attract more mainstream advertisers, WWE management are introducing a new policy for the WWE Divas, mainly the RAW and SmackDown brand girls, in an attempt to end the Diva stereotypes we're used to.
It looks as if the WWE are trying to present the women as being more professional and classy. Less revealing outfits are being made available to wear on TV and new stylists and trainers have been hired to help the Divas with their appearances.
It's not known yet if the changes will effect the ECW brand Divas, as the ECW program appeals to a different advertising market.
- If you remember, WWE released ECW/WWE Diva Dawn Marie back in 2004 while she was pregnant, which is a very bad business practice in general. Dawn Marie sued the WWE and the lawsuit is still going on in court, as Dawn recently hired a new team of attorneys. Dawn's argument is that she was fired after WWE told her she wouldn't be fired and she feels like she could have worked for WWE in some other out of the ring capacity during her pregnancy, and until she could return to the ring.
Although there is a slim chance of her returning to the WWE, other WWE stars in the past have returned after worse things happening, like Sable did. TNA has had talks with Dawn Marie in the past, but there is no word yet on what her current plans are.
