In an interview with Ottawa Sun, C.M. Punk said that he had no idea he was being moved to RAW until he heard his name called. "I didn't find out until everybody else did," Punk said. "I think I was reading the nutritional value in a can of Pepsi when my name came up. Everybody else was yelling, 'Go! Go!'"
He also commented on his World Heavyweight Title win last month. "It's pretty amazing," said Punk. "I've been a wrestling fan my entire life. To me, world champions are guys like Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Ricky Steamboat, and Rick Rude.
"I feel validated and vindicated. All the birthday parties, graduations, weddings, funerals ... everything I ever missed. Now, I'm the champion. I've always believed this would happen. I'm not trying to be cocky, but it was something I was born to be."
