Weekend WWE Schedule - 5 Shows, Advertised Matches
Date Added: August 08, 2008
Story By: Richard Gray
WWE has another weekend full of house shows this weekend. The Raw brand kicks it all off tonight with a show at the Wildwoods Convention Center in Wildwoods, New Jersey. CM Punk vs. JBL for the World Heavyweight Championship, John Cena & Cryme Tyme vs. Chris Jericho, Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase, Kofi Kingston vs. Santino Marella for the Intercontinental Championship, and Mickie James vs. Katie Lea for the WWE Women's Championship are all advertised for the show.
Raw will be at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Delaware tomorrow night and will conclude their weekend on Sunday with an evening show at the Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland. The advertised match for Sunday's show are CM Punk vs. Kane for the World Heavyweight Championship, John Cena vs. Chris Jericho, and Shawn Michaels vs. Lance Cade. I do not expect Michaels to work house shows this weekend and Lance Cade is also questionable with his recent injury.
The SmackDown/ECW crews will begin their weekend tomorrow night at the War Memorial at Oncenter in Syracuse, New York. They will then run an evening show on Sunday at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena in Binghamton, New York.
Next Monday's edition of Raw will broadcast live from the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia.
WWE will tape next week's edition of ECW and SmackDown from the Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. If you are attending next week's TVs and would be interested in sending us text message updates please send us an email to this address with your name, phone number, and the event you will be attending.
If you attend any of the live events over the weekend please submit a live report.
The Peoples Eyebrow was first named the "Heat Brow". The Rock called it that in college, but he changed the name do to the fact that the name didn't catch on.
