- WWE RAW opens up tonight with a video highlighting the Royal Rumble match last night and John Cena's return.
The former WWE Champion's music dies and you can really hear the booing from the fans. Cena shakes his head and says that's why I love this city, you're always going to get loud and rowdy. Cena starts to look bothered by the booing. Cena says he is here tonight to answer a question that has been on everybody's mind - how could this be possible? Cena goes on to talk about the injury he received in October. The crowd breaks out in "CENA SUCKS" and Cena says that is music to his ears.
Cena says doctors told him he would be out for one year, missing WrestleMania and everything. Cena says he risked his health and everything for one chance last night. Cena can't even finish a sentence because of all the booing from the fans. Cena talks about a chance to wrestle at WrestleMania this year.
Cena says he is back. He is the winner of the Royal Rumble and he is going to WrestleMania, damn it. The crowd definitley hates this guy. Cena says that is, unless the fans want WrestleMania to happen tonight. Cena wants Randy Orton tonight for the WWE Title on RAW. The crowd pops at the sound of this. Cena asks Randy Orton, what's it gonna be?
Out comes Randy Orton with his WWE Title at the entrance way. Orton says he has an answer, but it's not one he wants to hear. Orton says he has answered challenges lately from Hardy, Y2J, HBK and Triple H. A huge "YOU SUCK" chant breaks out at Orton this time. Orton says he beat all those guys. Cena says yeah you beat those guys, and you took me out of action. Orton calls Cena a smart Champion and says that's why he's going to accept his challenge tonight. Cena tells Orton he has never beaten him.
Orton says since Cena has been gone, he has become a very big deal. A bigger deal than Cena ever was. Orton says he will never defend his Title unless the fans pay money to see it and that's why he won't be facing Cena tonight. Orton says he will be facing Cena at the next pay-per-view, No Way Out unless Cena wants to wait until WM 24. Cena says no you dumb bastard, it's you and me at No Way Out. Cena says that still leaves tonight, doesn't it? Cena says it's been 4 months since he has been in the ring and he wants some, so tonight he is going to get some. Cena and Orton stare each other down as we go to commercial.
Ashley Massaro & Mickie James vs. Jillian Hall & Beth Phoenix Ashley and Mickie come down first followed by Jillian and the WWE Women's Champion.
Mickie and Jillian start it off with Mickie getting an early 2 count. Jillian tags in Beth and she mocks Mickie for crying last week. Mickie and Beth go at it and Mickie gets thrown shoulder first into the ringpost. Mickie blocks a kick and tries to get an offense going but gets kicked by Jillian. Big sideslam by Beth and she tags back in Jillian. Jillian comes in with a handspring elbow and a 2 count on Mickie.
Beth comes back in and gets rolled up by Mickie for a 1 count. Mickie in control as she goes for her signature DDT but Jillian runs in and stops it from happening. Beth back in control now and she hits her big fishermans suplex on Mickie for the 3 count. Ashley Massaro didn't even get a chance to get in the ring except after the pinfall to check on Mickie.
Winners: Beth Phoenix and Jillian Hall
Vince and Regal are backstage talking about Orton/Cena at No Way Out. But who will face the winner of that match at WrestleMania? Regal says what about "that brutal match" I was talking about a while back? Vince says, that match? Why don't you go make that announcement as Regal walks off.
- Back from commercial and William Regal is coming out. Regal says that whoever is WWE Champion after No Way Out will face the winner of the Elimination Chamber match. Regal shows a video of the Chamber's history.
Regal explains the Chamber. 4 pods will contain 4 WWE Superstars inside the Chamber. Two Superstars will start the match in the ring and at designated intervals, the pods will open and let a new man into the match. When the match is over, the winner will be the #1 contender for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 24. The participants will be Umaga, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho, JBL, Triple H and Jeff Hardy. Regal wishes them all good luck and may God have mercy on your souls.
- Mike Adamle is ringside and looking kind of bored. He announces Hardy/Y2J vs. Orton/JBL and Triple H and a partner of his choice vs. Snitsky and Umaga for later on as we go back to commercial.
Carlito vs. Cody Rhodes Carlito comes out with Santino Marella and Maria. Cody comes out with his tag team partner Hardcore Holly.
Cody has control of the match early on with chops and a roll up for a 2 count. Cody takes Carlito to the mat with an armbar but Carlito makes it to the ropes. Cody still in control, working on the arm and shoulder of Carlito.
Carlito tries to mount an offense but gets knocked to the floor on the outside. Santino is yelling at Carlito to get up as Cody comes out to bring him back in the ring. Marella gets on the apron and yells at Cody who turns around. Holly chases off Santino but Carlito hits the Backstabber on Cody and gets the pinfall.
Winner: Carlito
- Shawn Michaels and Triple H are backstage. Triple H says last night didn't work out for either of them, but they have a chance at No Way Out and they have to beat the hell out of each other inside the Chamber. Triple H says that's not until three weeks and tonight, he needs a partner. HBK says that will require a wardrobe change... Triple H says he's one step ahead of him and unzips his suit to reveal his DX clothing. HBK says gimme a minute... and pops back on screen in his DX clothes. They plug WWEshop.com as usual and say let's do this as we go back to commercial.
- Back from commercial with a promo video showing Candice Michelle at a recent GoDaddy commercial shoot.
Degeneration X vs. Snitsky and Umaga Triple H and Shawn Michaels as DX come out first with their usual DX antics and intro. The crowd pops as expected. DX get on the mic and do their schtick, plugging their new "BANNED" t-shirt and says what better to place to bring DX back than in Philly. Triple H asks are you ready, then for the thousands in attendance and the millions around the world, and for one man in particular, who if you saw the Royal Rumble last night, committed what we call gimmick infringement on DX's "thousands in attendance", so for you Michael Buffer, leeet's get ready to SUCK IT! Out comes the monster Umaga followed by Snitsky.
Snitsky and The Game start the match out. The two lock up and Triple H backs up, grabs the mic and asks the crowd if anyone has a toothbrush, a tic-tac, mints or anything which gets Snitsky riled up.
A huge "BRUSH YOUR TEETH" chant breaks out. Snitsky starts kicking Triple H and backs him in the corner. The Game responds with a big clothesline and tags in HBK. HBK goes to work on Snitsky's arm and tags back in Triple H, who continues the work on the arm.
HBK back in with a series of chops and takedown on Snitsky. HBK climbs up top but gets kicked off onto the floor by Umaga. Snitsky brings HBK back in the ring. Snitsky locks HBK in a big bearhug as Michaels tries to fight out of it and he does but gets caught right back in it.
HBK fights out of the bearhug but gets dropped by a huge clothesline. Snitsky backs HBK into the corner with a series of big kicks. The ref is distracted by Snitsky as Umaga chokes HBK in the corner. Snitsky keeps HBK in the corner with a big foot to the chin. Umaga is tagged in and grounds HBK in the center of the ring with a thumb to the throat. Umaga locks HBK in a bearhug as well as HBK tries to reach Triple H as we go to commercial.
Back from commercial and HBK is tied up in the turnbuckle and Umaga pounds on him. The ref unhooks HBK's leg and he falls to the mat. Umaga covers for a 2 count. The crowd begins to get behind HBK but Umaga continues to pound him. Snitsky is tagged in and locks the big bearhug on HBK again.
HBK fights out of it and tries to reach Triple H again but gets back into the turnbuckle once again as Umaga is tagged back in. Umaga tries to hit the running splash on HBK but Michaels rolls away. HBK runs for Triple H but gets picked up by Umaga and he is still reaching for The Game. HBK counters Umaga with a big DDT and both men are down.
Triple H gets tagged in and comes in and takes both Snitsky and Umaga down. Umaga misses the shoulderblock in the corner and HHH hits the big clothesline. Facebuster on Snitsky but Umaga hits the big Samoan Drop on HHH. HBK comes in and lays Umaga out with the Sweet Chin Music and then a plancha to the outside. Snitsky measures Triple H up but misses the big boot and gets laid out with a big spinebuster. Pedigree on Snitsky for the 1-2-3.
Winners: Degeneration X
- Backstage, Randy Orton is in the locker room with JBL. JBL says tonight, history will be made as the two will team up. JBL says at WrestleMania, history will be made as well as Randy Orton will defend the WWE Title against JBL, if he can defeat John Cena at No Way Out. Orton says all you have to do is win the Elimination Chamber, and he hopes he does because he knows he can beat him. JBL says he will drag him all over Wall Street just like he did Jericho, you got that boy? But that's WrestleMania, tonight is a different story. Orton says let him worry about Jeff Hardy tonight, JBL can worry about Jericho. Orton says if John Cena shows up... JBL interrupts him and says if Cena shows up, we both take care of him as JBL walks off and Orton looks on.
Todd Grisham is backstage with Jeff Hardy. Hardy says last night wasn't the end for him, it's just the beginning and walks off.
- Vince is backstage with Hornswoggle. He says Hornswoggle didnt come back from the Rumble a winner, he came back as a loser. Vince tells Hornswoggle he is ashamed of him and to get out of his sight.
Mr. Kennedy vs. Brian Kendrick Kennedy comes out first and skips his usual intro and awaits his opponent. Out comes Kendrick who hits the ring and slaps Kennedy. JR says Kendrick told him he is going to try and put his name on the map tonight. Kennedy gets him in the corner and begins to stomp on him but misses the running kick as Kendrick rolls out to the floor and Kennedy follows.
Kenndy slings Kendrick into the apron, which hits him pretty hard and they go back in the ring. Kennedy is in total control of the match now. Kendrick nails a couple of dropkicks and climbs to the top but misses the dropkick on Kennedy. Kennedy hits the Mic Check and gets the pinfall.
Winner: Mr. Kennedy
After the match, Kennedy grabs his mic from the rafters and says he asked William Regal not to include him in the Elimination Chamber. Not because he doesn't want to be WWE Champion, because he does. Kennedy says he wants to do something to have a little more historic value - end the career of Ric Flair. Kennedy says he is going to do everyone a favor, he's going to do something to Ric Flair that people do to animals who no longer can function. Kennedy tells Flair he is going to put him down. He is going to waste him. Flair comes out at the entrance way with a suit and tie and a big smile on his face. Flair says he has two things to say to Kennedy: Good luck and Whoooooo! Flair does his strut, taunting Kennedy as his music hits again and Kennedy watches on and we go back to commercial.
- Commercial airs for ECW Sci-Fi tomorrow night which will feature a "Guerrero Family Championship Fiesta" as Chavo, Vickie, Edge and company celebrate Chavo winning the ECW Championship.
Melina vs. Maria Melina comes out first with paparazzi right behind her as she does her usual sexy ring entrance. Maria comes out with Santino as usual and her and Melina go at it with Melina taking her down first. Typical Divas match with lots of screaming.
Maria gets Melina down in the corner and hits her Bronco Buster. Melina drops Maria face first on the turnbuckle and takes back control of the match. Maria fights but Maria catches her with a sideslam and Melina takes her down with a head scissors. Belly Buster by Maria on Melina for a 2 count. Maria misses a big splash in the corner. The match ends when Melina tries to pull Maria's pants down and exposes her thong. Maria pins Melina for the win.
Winner: Maria
Maria's thong is still showing as Santino comes in the ring and tries to cover her up. He gets on the mic and says this is unacceptable. Santino says the fans are picturing Maria in Playboy and even Jim Ross has an erection, or something like that. Marella insults Philly and the Liberty Bell and tells people they will never see Maria in Playboy.
- Grisham is backstage with Chris Jericho and tells Y2J last night we saw a new side of Chris Jericho. Jericho says yes, you did and he likes that side of Jericho. He says this new side wants to come out and play with JBL tonight, and he will. He will also be ready for the Elimination Chamber where he will win and go onto WrestleMania 24 and walk out the Champ.
- Mike Adamle is ringside and goes over the No Way Out matches thus far.
Jeff Hardy and Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton and JBL Hardy comes out first for tonight's RAW main event. Jericho is out next with a more serious look on his face. The white limousine comes to ringside next as JBL makes his grand entrance to RAW tonight.
Jericho remains in control and hits his double knee finisher on Orton. JBL and Jericho go to the outside as Hardy gets tagged in and hits a Swanton Bomb on Orton for a 2 count as JBL makes the save and we go to commercial.
Back from commercial and Orton is in control of Hardy, beating him down. Orton backs him in the corner and JBL is tagged in for some double teaming on Hardy. JBL with a big shoulder block on Hardy but he misses an elbow drop. Hardy fights back and hits the leg drop between the legs. JBL distracts the ref and Orton tries to interfere but Hardy knocks him off the apron. Hardy turns around to a big boot from JBL.
Orton back in the ring now, grounding Hardy to the mat. Orton tags back in JBL and they go back to double teaming on Hardy. JBL punches Hardy in the corner and back in comes Orton and the double team continues. Off the ropes and Hardy drops Orton with a lariat and both men are down. Jericho and JBL both get tagged in and Jericho takes down JBL and they begin to brawl. Jericho goes for the Walls of Jericho but Orton stops it and gets laid out for it.
Jericho with a Lionsault followed by a 2 count thanks to Randy Orton coming in. Hardy comes in and jumps on the top turnbuckle facing the crowd but Orton pushes him off and he lands on the floor on the barrier. Jericho locks the Walls of Jericho again in the center of the ring but Orton runs in and hits a running RKO on Jericho. The ref comes back in the ring as JBL covers Jericho for the pinfall.
Winners: Randy Orton and JBL
Out comes John Cena. Orton and JBL wait for Cena but JBL ducks out of the ring. Cena hits the ring and goes at it with Orton and lays him out with the FU. Cena stands over Orton and taunts him as his music hits and he watches over Orton who is still laid out. Cena leaves the arena area still talking junk to Orton who is just now getting up in the ring as RAW goes off the air.
