[Q1] The show opened with a dejected Jack Swagger sitting a chair in the ring. He said what happened to him at Backlash was bad enough, but what happened to him at Judgment Day was a travesty. He claimed he wouldn't leave the ring until he had justice.

Two referees walked to the ring. They tried to talk him into leaving the ring. "You can tell blondie if that if she wants me out of the ring, she can come out here and tell me herself because I'm not budging," Swagger said. Tiffany came out and told the referee to leave the ring and that she would take it from there.

"Jack, get out of the ring," Tiffany said without a microphone. She told him again and said they could discuss it in her office. Jack said into the mic that it was too bad if he was interrupting her show. He complained that Christian cheated in their last two matches. She said they could go back to her office and discuss it.

"What are you going to do?" Swagger asked. He said he would be around a lot longer than she would be. He called her "Britney Spears" and said he's the person the people pay to see. "You're just a temp," Swagger said. She said she has the power to make sure he never gets another ECW Title shot again. She ordered him to leave the ring and go to her office immediately.

Swagger rolled his eyes, but eventually stood up and left the ring. Tiffany apologized for Swagger's behavior. She said they would have a great match. She introduced the first match featuring Christian...

Josh Matthews and Matt Striker checked in on commentary. Christian came out for the match and ran into Swagger, who shoved him off the ramp and onto the floor below. Christian got up slowly and was holding his knee as the show cut to commercial... [C]

1. Christian pinned Paul Burchill (w/Katie Lea) in a non-title match in 8:00. The announcers noted that this was a great opportunity for Burchill because Christian was injured. Burchill went after Christian's knee early. He whipped him into the ring steps at ringside and Christian's knee slammed off the steps.

[Q2] The live crowd was quiet for the first four minutes of the match, but they clapped for Christian to break out of a leg hold that Burchill locked on. Striker said Christian might be better off taking the loss and living to fight another day. Later, Christian avoided a running Burchill in the corner and then hit a tornado DDT for a near fall that brought the crowd to life.

Christian continued to hobble even when he was on offense. He even used one leg while performing the leap off the second rope into a sunset flip for a good near fall. Christian went for his finisher, but Burchill kicked his knee and came back with a suplex that resulted in another good near fall. Christian came back with the fulcrum kick and an uppercut off the ropes. He hit his finisher and scored the 1-2-3...

After the match, Josh entered the ring and asked about what happened earlier with Swagger. Christian said Swagger wouldn't like what he was about to say. He said Swagger had his rematch and lost. As such, he issued a challenge to Tommy Dreamer to face him for the ECW Championship... [C]

Backstage, Swagger bitched to Tiffany about Christian giving Dreamer a title shot. Tiffany stood up to him and told him to take the night off. "Whatever," he said, before walking away. She stood there with a really bad mean look on her face...

2. Zach Ryder pinned Adam Green in 2:05. Josh said Ryder has over 3,000 new friend requests since he cut his hair and then admitted he one of them. Ryder wore pair of tights with one of the legs missing. Ryder got the pin.

Powell's POV: I get a kick out of the gimmick, but not the new tights. I spent the match turned away from the television because I was afraid his little Zach was going to pop out. Here's hoping that Ryder winning this squash match means we won't have to suffer through a Vladimir Kozlov squash this week.

[Q3] The announcers narrated highlights of David Hart Smith showing up last week and attacking Finlay... Backstage, Smith was doing squats when Tyson Kidd walked into the room and spoke about last week. Smith said that was nothing. Natalya said Smith's father would be proud of him. Smith said he should be since he's better than his father ever was... [C]

Highlights aired of Kozlov's squash match win from last week...

Kozlov came out dressed in Russian military garb and cut his usual promo. Apparently, there will be no retreat...

Backstage, Hurricane Helms announced that the Christian vs. Dreamer match will take place on WWE Superstars on Thursday. Dreamer entered the picture and thanked Christian for giving him the match. He said his time is running out and he's not going to waste the opportunity. "I will become the ECW Champion," Dreamer said... A shot aired of Finlay walking backstage... [C]

[Q4] 3. David Hart-Smith (w/Tyson Kidd, Natalya) beat Finlay in 18:45. Please give Finlay his old music back now that his annoying sidekick has moved to Monday nights. As usual, Finlay placed the shillelagh in the corner. You'd think the referees would watch replays of the matches and see that he uses the damn thing every week and then not let him keep it there. Turn your brain off, Jason.

After six minutes of "action" that lulled the crowd to sleep, Smith powerslammed Finlay on the floor and the show cut to commercial. [C] Smith was in control the match after the break. Finlay battled back around the 12:30 mark. The live crowd didn't seem to care unless Finlay was on offense.

[Overrun] The yawner continued past the top of the hour with Smith still in control with a rear chin lock that he held about as long as Randy Orton usually holds the chin lock of death. The announcers said Smith was putting on a display by dominating Finlay. Well, that's one way to look at it. Finlay came back with a late flurry of offense and scored a couple of near falls.

Finlay went for a Celtic Cross, but he sold a back injury that he suffered from all the abuse he took during the match. T.J. Wilson tried to interfere and Finlay shoved him down at ringside. Meanwhile, Natalya passed one of her heels to Smith, who slammed it into Finlay's head and scored the pin...
