Date Added: November 30, 2009
Story By: Will Hengelbrok

Superstars on WGN America Written by Chris Shore
Taped in Hersey, Pa and Bridgeport, Conn.

1. The Miz defeated Santino Marella at 5:56. Santino threatened the cobra to start. Miz slapped on a head lock. Santino whipped out and Miz shoulder tackled him. Santino stood and Miz pushed him. Santino pushed him back into the rope and then hit a headlock takeover. Miz reversed a whip and Santino hit a huge shoulder tackle. He followed with two hip tosses. Miz blocked the third and hit a left hook to take control.

Miz stomped on Santino's face and covered for two. He whipped Santino to the corner and hit a clothesline for two. He worked Santino in the corner and then his a neck breaker for two. He stood Santino and drove him into the corner. He hit his through the ropes corner clothesline and went to the top. Santino got the legs up and went on offense.

Santino hit strikes and a back suplex. He split ducked a clothesline and hit a hip toss. He set up the cobra, and Miz kicked him in the face. Miz followed with the Skull Crushing Finale for the win…

The Ask a Divas segment aired…Kozlov and Regal were shown backstage heading towards the ring…[C]

Shore’s Slant: Fun opening match. Santino is always fun, and Miz grows on me every time I see him. A throwaway math, but hey, it's Thanksgiving. Is it just me, or do the Divas look terrible on the Ask a Diva segments. Most of them don't look as good as they do in the ring. Different makeup and lighting I guess.

[Q2]Back from commercial, Kozlov made his entrance as Josh Matthews and Byron Saxton took over on commentary. A video recapped big Zeke's turn on ECW. Goldust was out next…

2. Vladimir Kozlov (w/William Regal) defeated Goldust at 6:41. Kozlov no sold some punches and then hit a sloppy shoulder tackle. He charged at Goldust who pulled the rope down. Kozlov spilled to the floor. Goldust followed. Kozlov picked him up and tried to ram him into the post, but Goldust reversed and drove Kozlov in instead. Kozlov recovered into the break…[C]

BAck at 3:20, Goldust had an armlock on. Kozlov powered out and whipped Goldust to the corner. Goldust went to the second rope and came off. Kozlov hit a head but to knock him out of the air. Kozlov hit his triple head but for two. Goldust fought back and everything got sloppy. Kozlov hit a cross body in the corner, but Goldust caught him and hit a power slam for two. Kozlov came right back and hit the Iron Curtain (or whatever his finisher is) for the win…

Post match, Regal praised Kozlov like a pet and hit the knee trembler on Goldust…The announce team hyped the main event…[C]

Shore’s Slant: This match was as sloppy as the opening match was fun. By the end, even Goldust had appeared to give up. I hope Zeke can carry this big goof to a decent match.

[Q3]Back from commercial, a CM Punk video hyped Superstars…A John Cena hype video played…

Shore’s Slant: Cena needs hype? Really?

Ringside, Todd Grisham and Matt Striker took over on the headsets. They setup the Raw Rebound video that recapped Raw and Sheamus's number one contender win and beat down of Cena…The announce team ran down the current TLC card…Truth made his lame ass entrance…[C]

Back from commercial, Ziggler made his entrance…

[Q4]3. R-Truth defeated Dolph Ziggler at 14:53. Ziggler started with an armbar. He switched to a headlock and hit a sucker punch. Ziggler ran to the floor to avoid Truth. He got back in the ring and hid in the ropes. Truth pulled him out, but Ziggler hit another sucker punch and went back to working the arm. Truth hip tossed out and punched Ziggler. Ziggler went to the floor again and the ref pushed Truth back.

Ziggler got back in the ring and they locked up into the corner. Truth broke dirty and hit several punches. Ziggler went to the ropes again. He kicked Truth when he came over and worked strikes in the corner. Ziggler whipped Truth to the corner. He bounced out, split ducked a clothesline, and hit his leg lariat on Ziggler. Ziggler rolled to the floor again and this time Truth hit a suicide dive over the top. He landed hard on his arm and both men recovered into the break…[C]

Back at 8:01, Ziggler had an armbar in the middle of the ring. Ziggler fought out and made Truth miss the scissor kick and the Lie Detector. Truth rolled to the floor and started to get back in the ring at nine. Ziggler hit a baseball slide and then choked Truth on the bottom rope. Ziggler locked on his rolling headlock.

Truth fought out, but Ziggler hit a body slam and several fast elbows, followed by a jumping elbow drop for two. Ziggler was pissed and pummeled Truth. He slapped on body scissors with a chin lock. Truth made his feet and Ziggler went for a neck breaker, but Truth reversed into a backslide for two.

Truth went on the attack and hit several strikes. He hit a cool suplex/stunned combination for two. Ziggler reversed the next move into a face buster for two. He whipped Truth to the corner and charged in. Truth moved and Ziggler hit the post. Truth hit a spinning scissor kick for two. Ziggler hooked an inside cradle when Truth tried to stand him up. At two, Truth rolled through and got his own two count. Ziggler kicked Truth and went for a amasser, but Truth moved and hit the Lie Detector for the win…

Shore’s Slant: Happy Thanksgiving to us! Very, very good match to close the show. Truth can go in the ring. That suplex/stunner move was hot as hell. I wish he would be a bad ass instead of a dancing clown. Ziggler shines every time he steps in the ring. I'm worried thought, he has been jobbing a lot lately. I hope he isn't losing his push. I'll have more to say later with the Hitlist. Thanks for reading and I'll see you later for Smackdown.

On a personal note, we rushed my grandfather to the hospital Thursday night (why this report was late). He is having heart surgery as I write this. Please keep him in your prayers/mediations/good thoughts. Thanks so much
