Announcers: Joey Styles and The Living Legend Larry Zbyszko
Written By: Jim Simmons

[7:00-7:15]

Joey Styles and Larry Zbyszko are in the ECW announce booth. Styles says, "I am Joey Styles and with me is The Living Legend Larry Zbyszko! (the fans start chanting "Larry!, Larry!, Larry!". Zbyszko gives them his customary hand salute.) And we welcome you to Extreme Championship Wrestling!!! We have an awesome show lined up for the fans tonight!" Larry, "Indeed we do, already signed is Psychosis of The Latino World Order taking on Brian Lawler. We also have the newly formed tag team of Diamond Dallas Page and The Patriot who are being managed by Dusty Rhodes taking on "The Snakes" team of Satan's Warrior and Vampiro." Styles, " And of course that's not all we have, although what we don't have is The Kliq." Larry, "Right, The Kliq was brutalized by Hydra this past week and will not make an appearance tonight, but we understand that Pamela Paulshock is backstage right now set to interview the team of "Mr. Perfect" Curt Hennig and Randy Orton "The Rookie Sensation" along with their freind Jasmine St. Claire, so take it away Pam."

On the videotron we see a shot of the backstage area where Curt Hennig and Randy Orton along with Jasmine St. Claire are standing by. Pam, "Okay guys the buzz around the locker room is that you two have an announcement to make so lets have it." Hennig and Orton laugh. Hennig, "You know Pam bad news travels fast around here....not bad news for us just for the rest of the teams in the tag team division." Orton, "That's right Pam, let's go ahead and bring our new manager on in here." And then "Double A" Arn Anderson walks into the shot as Hennig, Orton and Jasmine applaud his arrival. Arn, "Thank You gentlemen, I hope everyone is paying real close attention. Because what we have here is a team that has so much untapped potential that when Randy and Curt called me I jumped at the chance to manage tag team champions. As we all know there are few men in this industry who know more about tag team wrestling than I do. So, with that being said I want you all to bare witness to the rebirth of The Minnesota Wrecking Crew!!!" Pam, "Should this be viewed as a precursor to the return of The Four Horsemen?" Arn, "You can call it whatever you like Pam and I know that the fans and the boys in the locker room will read more into this than there really is, only know this The Minnesota Wrecking Crew is back." With that the four of them walk off the interview set. Pam, "Well, there you have it, back to you guys."

We return to the ECW Announce Booth with Styles, and Larry. Joey, "Amazing! Double A is here in ECW to manage Hennig and Orton!" Larry, "Arn has a very good eye for talen and sees something in these two and if anyone can make champions out of Hennig and Orton he certainly can. Not taking anything away from Curt and Randy but I think they'll get to the top a lot faster with Arn by their side than they would have on their own." Styles, " No argument there Larry, Arn Anderson is a legend in this sport, especially in the tag team division. He and Ole were a real force not to mention the exploits of his other partners Tully Blanchard and then later on with our own Living Legend." Larry, "Yeah, well enough of the history lesson and nastalgia our first matchup tonight has Brian Lawler taking on Psychosis so lets go to the ring."

Brian Lawler
Vs.
Psychosis

The music of The Latino World Order hits and out comes "The Insane Luchadore" Psychosis to a mixed reaction from the crowd. Then the music hits and out come Brian Lawler, he pauses at the top of the ramp and poses for the crowd and performs his signature ring entrance to a decent ovation from the crowd. The two men size each other up as they circle each other in the ring. Psychosis goes for a single leg take down but Lawler hops back out of the way and then retaliates with a super kick as Psychosis is getting back to his feet. Brian goes for the pin; one, two..kickout by Psychosis. Both men are quickly back to their feet and lock up in the center of the ring with a collar and elbow tie up which Lawler converts into a side headlock, but Psychosis shoots him to the ropes; Brian rebounds off the ropes and has to leap over the prone body of Psychosis and hits the ropes again. The insane luchadore then takes Lawler off his feet with a japanese style arm drag. Lawler nips up and runs at Psychosis again only to again be taken off his feet with a drop kick to the face. Psychosis then drags Lawler to his feet and goes for a Hurricanranna but Lawler blocks it and puts Psychosis in a modified Boston Crab instead. They are too close to the ropes however and Psychosis is able to crawl to the ropes to break the hold. Lawler drags The Insane Luchadore to his feet and starts laying in the knife edge chops driving Psychosis back into the corner where he sits the luchadore up onto the top turnbuckle. Lawler climbs the turnbuckle and joins Psychosis on the top rope and throws him off with a gut wrench power bomb! Lawler then scrambles to make the cover; one, two, thre..kickout by Psychosis! Brian drags the luchadore to his feet again and whips him to the ropes; Psychosis rebounds off the ropes and takes Lawler down with a high cross body block. He follows it up with an Asai Moonsault from the middle rope and then goes up top looking to finish it with his patented somersault leg drop but Lawler moves at the last instant! Lawler vaults to the top rope and waits, when Psychosis recovers his footing Brian nails him with a missile drop kick! Lawler goes for the cover again and gets a near fall. He drags the Luchadore to his feet again this time looking for a DDT but Psychosis counters with a Northern Lights Suplex for a count of two. This time both men are slow in getting back to their feet and Psychosis strikes first with a stiff right hand to the jaw of Brian that staggers him. Psychosis then strikes with a vicious Tornado DDT and here is the cover; one, two, thre..kickout by Lawler. Frustrated Psychosis goes to the outside and grabs a chair from under the ring and slides back in. He measures Lawler and goes for the kill shot with the chair just as Brian is regaining his footing but Lawler ducks the chair shot and nails Psychosis with a super kick that drives the chair back into the face of the Luchadore! Brian goes up top an leaps off hitting his patented leg drop from the top rope! Lawler covers Psychosis and picks up the hard fought victory.

Winner: Brian Lawler in 12:33 via pinfall.

[7:15-7:30]

When we return from the break Larry and Joey are discussing events from earlier in the evening. Larry, "That was a good match for Brian, he showed that he can still bring it and that no one runs him out of anywhere." Styles, "I agree, Lawler is a great competitor with great potential." Larry, "Speaking of people with great potential I find it interesting that DDP would team himself with The Patriot, because as far as I can tell nothing with Steiner was resolved." Styles, "I think it was, Steiner proved that he is still the most dominate man in this business while Page got some measure of revenge as well as getting some of his self respect back. I mean look at the man, he has definately got his swagger back." Larry, "True enough Joey and they are up next taking on the team of Satan's Warrior which by now everyone knows is really The Ultimate Warrior and Vampiro."

Satan’s Warrior and Vampiro w/Jake “The Snake” Roberts
vs.
Diamond Dallas Page and The Patriot w/”The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes

"Self High-Five" blares on the p.a. and out comes the team of Diamond Dallas Page and The Patriot being led to the ring by "The American Dream" to a good ovation from the crowd. Then the music is queued again and out comes the team of Satan's Warrior and Vampiro who are lead to the ring by Jake "The Snake" Roberts to thunderous boos from the crowd. Page and Patriot don't wait for the bell and attack their enemies from behind with clubbing forearm shots. Page takes Vampiro up and over the top rope and to the floor with a vicious clothesline while Patriot and Warrior battle it out with shots to the face going toe-to-toe. On the outside Vampiro has a chair and is wearing Page out with it and has finally managed to bust him open. A group of ECW referees come down and pull Vamp off of Page and he goes to his corner and the officials help Page to his feet and start escorting him to the back where he can receive medical attention. About half way up the ramp Page comes back to the ring under his own power although he is bleeding profusely. Page catches the ankles of Warrior just as he is hitting the ropes giving the advantage to his partner who falls on the prone Satan's Warrior with a fist drop to the back of the head. Patriot then starts stomping Warrior in the lower back and applies The Camel Clutch but Warrior is too close to the ropes and manages to hook the bottom rope with his feet and the hold is broken. Patriot drags Warrior to his feet and whips him to the ropes; Satan's Warrior rebounds off the ropes and ducks the attempted clothesline and hits the far ropes where Vampiro makes the blind tag. Warrior takes Patriot down with a clothesline of his own and Vampiro leaps from the top hitting a huge elbow drop to the chest of Patriot. The dark warrior drags Patriot to his feet and scoop slams him, he then goes off the ropes and drops a knee to the side of the head. He drags the American hero to his feet again and whips him to the ropes but to close to his own corner where DDP makes the blind tag this time as Patriot leaps over the prone body of Vampiro and as he rebounds off the ring ropes on the far side he grabs them and holds on. Vampiro now has Patriot in front of him and Page behind him and Patriot points to Page who Vampiro has not seen yet and doesn't know is in the ring. Vampiro laughs at him and tells him he's not so stupid as to fall for that trick and about that time Page hits a bridging German suplex on Vampiro for a near fall. Both men get quickly back to their feet and Vamp scores first with a jumping front kick to the face of Page that stuns him. Vampiro then scoops Page up going for The Nail In The Coffin but Page is able to shift his wait and slide down Vampiro's back and hit a falling neck breaker. He then drags The Dark Warrior to his feet and nails a boot to the gut and delivers The Diamond Cutter! Page goes for the pin; 1....2....and its broken up by Satan's Warrior! Patriot tries to come to the aid of his partner and gets taken out by Warrior's patented flying clothesline! Vampiro then hoists Page up onto his shoulders as Satan's Warrior climbs to the top and leaps off hitting The Doomsday Device(Road Warriors finisher - top rope clothesline) and Vampiro makes the cover to pick up the victory.

Ultimo Dragon (Champion)
Vs.
“The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels w/Jake "The Snake" Roberts

The music hits and out comes the current ECW Extreme-Cruiserweight Champion Ultimo Dragon to a good ovation from the crowd. The music hits again and "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels makes his appearance at the top of the ramp with his new mentor by his side Jake "The Snake" Roberts to a chorus of boos from the crowd. Ultimo starts the match off by going for a high roundhouse kick but Daniels blocks it and leg whips Dragon across the ring. Daniels gets quickly back to his feet but Dragon is already back up and nails drop kick to the face of Christopher. Ultimo throws himself into the ropes building momentum as Daniels nips up and catches him coming in with a clothesline and a quick cover for a two count. Daniels drags the champion to his feet and starts drilling him with hard right hands to the forehead, these shots to the head drive the champ back into the corner where Daniels dazes Dragon with a European uppercut and then sets him on the top turnbuckle pad. Christopher then hooks Ultimo in a suplex position and lifts him off of the turnbuckle pad hooking the legs and drops straight to his knees! Daniels however does not release the hold and stands back up and drops Dragon to the canvas with The Impaler DDT! He rolls the champion over and goes for the cover; 1...2...kickout by Ultimo! Daniels drags the champion to his feet again and hooks the arms going for Angel's Wings but with a boot to the gut and a headbutt Dragon blocks it and steps up on the back of Daniels calf and goes for the kill shot with a jumping roundhouse kick but "The Fallen Angel" had that move scouted and ducks it coming back with a leg sweep that takes Dragon off his feet. Daniels moves in quickly dragging the young star to his feet and whipping him to the ropes; Dragon rebounds off the ropes and ducks the clothesline attempt but grabs one arm of the challenger and then leaps up hooking the other arm of Daniels with his legs and hitting a cruifix pin attempt that picks up a near fall. Both men are up quickly again and both go to the ropes and have the same idea hitting a flying cross chop at the same moment! The ref begins the count 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Dragon starts to stir and manages to lay an arm across the chest of Daniels and the ref administers the count; one, two, thre..kickout by Daniels! Both men are much slower in getting back to their feet this time and they once again go toe-to-toe with Daniels throwing rights and Dragon chopping away at him with knife edge chops. The Snake having seen enough and knowing that these two are too evenly matched slides into the ring with a chair. He measures Dragon who ducks the attempted chair shot and so does Daniels just barely. Dragon drop kicks the chair into the face of Jake but the distraction costs him as Daniels takes him down with a reverse DDT! "The Fallen Angel" goes for the cover; 1..2...kickout by Dragon!!! Ultimo staggers to his feet and Daniels hooks him in a reverse headlock again going for the reverse DDT but Ultimo kicks his feet up over his head changing the momentum and when he lands on his feet he has the reverse headlock applied and he then converts it into a Dragon Sleeper!!! Daniels is fading fast and Roberts tries to interfere but the ref cuts him off and takes the chair away from him. After the ref chases Roberts out of the ring he checks on Daniels and "The Fallen Angel" is out, so the ref calls for the bell awarding the match to Ultimo Dragon.

Konan
vs.
Tommy Dreamer w/Jenna Jameson

The music of The Latino World Order hits and out comes Konan to a mixed reaction from the crowd(more boos than cheers). Then the music of "The Innovator of Violence" plays and the crowd blows the roof off as Tommy Dreamer and Jenna Jameson make their way to the ring. They perform their signature poses for the crowd and then slide into the ring. Tommy and K-Dog meet in the center of the ring and lock up with a collar and elbow tie up with Dreamer ducking under and delivering a knee to the gut of Konan and then a clubbing shot to the back of the head that knocks K-Dog down to the mat. Tommy then starts laying in the boots to the upper shoulder and neck area. Tommy gives up on this tactic and drags Konan to his feet and shoots him to the ropes; Konan rebounds off the ropes and leap frogs Tommy and comes back again off the ropes where Dreamer catches him with a power slam. He drags K-Dog back to his feet again and puts Konan into the fireman's carry position but Konan wriggles free of the hold before Dreamer can execute his patented Death Valley Driver finisher. K-dog spins Dreamer around and kicks him in the gut and goes for his patented face buster but Tommy knocks his hands aside and delivers repeated right hand shots to the jaw of Konan driving him back into the corner where Dreamer changes tactics and starts in with the knife edge chops that soon turn the chest of Konan red and the whelts begin to form from the contact. Jenna reaches under the ring and tosses Tommy his Singapore Cane and the crowd goes nuts. Tommy winds up and delivers a shot across the stomach of Konan and then across the back and finally across the back of the knees, Konan goes down from the pain. Tommy stalks K-Dog and waits for the big man to get back to his feet and comes in behind him with the cane but K-Dog delivers a mule kick that doubles Dreamer over and Konan grabs Dreamer by the ears and slams him backward causing the back of his head to impact with the mat. Konan working quickly goes for the Tequilla Sunrise but Tommy is able to roll out of it and reach the ropes. Both men are back up again and they lunge for each other but Konan delivers a knee to the gut of Dreamer and then snaps off a suplex that leaves Dreamer in pain on the mat clutching his back. Konan picks up the cane that Tommy had dropped earlier and when Tommy gets up to his knees K-Dog blasts him across the face with the cane shattering the cane and busting Dreamer open in the process. The blood is starting to flow and Dreamer is struggling to get back to his feet and Konan takes him down with a hard clothesline. K-Dog then whips Dreamer to the ropes; Tommy rebounds off the ropes and Konan delivers the boot to the gut and then spins and lands the face buster! The crowd is on their feet because they know that this is a precursor to Konan's finisher. Konan torques the arm and then steps over, but Dreamer rolls and manages to roll Konan up for a near fall. Tommy now bleeding heavily is back on his feet and Konana begins assaulting him again with rights and lefts but Dreamer is able to block a few of them and retaliate with some of his own. Konan dazes Dreamer with a wicked upper cut and charges Tommy but Dreamer drops out of the way and pulls the top rope down and Konan goes sailing over the rope and to the floor below. Tommy rolls under the bottom rope and goes after K-Dog stomping him in the back of the head. Jenna grabs a second Singapore Cane and hands it to Tommy who begins blasting Konan across the back with it. He drags K-Dog to his feet and then lashes out with the cane catching K-Dog in the throat with it and then steps in beside Konan and executes a side russian leg sweep using the cane for leverage as they crash into the security railing! Tommy then tosses Konan into the ring and slides in after him. Konan staggers to his feet and Tommy hoists him up into the fireman's carry position and delivers the Dreamer Driver(Death Valley Driver) and makes the cover to pick up the hard fought victory.

As we come back from the break the last few chords of "Back In Black" by AC/DC are echoing throughout the arena and Hydra is in force and in the ring. Eric has a mic, "Wow what a warm welcome from this crowd who are undoubtedly here to see if The Kliq has the balls to show up here tonight after the ass kicking they were handed all last week." The crowd boos and starts throwing garbage. Rock grabs the mic, "And speaking of ass whippins, I guess you all watched WWF No Mercy?" Then Stone Cold grabs the mic, "Hey Goldberg! I know you are watching this telecast...hows the neck big man?!" All the members of Hydra laugh. Eric, "As I have said many times before...no company is safe from my wrath, whether it be WWF, wCw or ECW you are all vulnerable to attack from the seven headed serpent that is Hydra." Double J, "That's right Eric, the whole world knows now who is running this business, so in case you didn't see what happened Sunday night order the damn replay you bunch of slap asses!" Eric takes the mic back and begins to rant some more but he is cut off by "Can You Dig It, Sucka?!" and the crowd blows the roof off the arena as Booker T accompanied by his long time ally Taz make their way out onto the ramp. Booker, "Damn, you fellas really think your all that? Shit, Dog you know Taz called me at home while I was recovering from my rematch with Kane and I just had to come back. You know its like I always say there are players and player haters and you ego maniacs in the ring are definately player haters." Taz, "Thats right Book, and it seems that you and I were not booked in any matches tonight and the main event has not been announced yet." Terry Funk then steps out onto the stage, "It has now, Eric...Taz and Booker T will taking on...oh lets say Chris Benoit...and what do you think about giving him The Texas Rattle Snake as a tag team partner!" Eric, "You just don't learn do you Funk, you cannot play with me, my guys will take your two heroes apart...seven on two is not exactly favorable odds." Funk laughs, "You know Eric its a damn shame your not as intellegent as you think you are! It won't be seven on two it will be two on two because the old gaurd of ECW will be standing watch tonight there won't be any surprise attacks on my watch not any more!" Eric, "Who's gonna stop my boys Funk?!" Terry, "I'm sooooo glad you asked that stupid f#cking question Bitchoff....all right gentlemen if you would please come out onto the ramp." Then out walks Tommy Dreamer with Singapore Cane in hand and he is followed by New Jack and Balls Mahoney armed with steel chairs. Out next comes Sabu and RVD. Funk, "And if that's not enough I have more in reserve and you can pretty well guess who they are...so you can try me if you want to Eric but I wouldn't advise it....now then get the hell out of my ring, we have a world six man title match up next and your eating into their time!" Frustrated by their inability to keep Taz down they signal to the back and out come the remaining members of Hydra but they are cut off by the old gaurd of ECW in Dreamer, New Jack, Balls Mahoney, Sabu, RVD and Steve Corino. Then out comes the new Minnesota Wrecking Crew; Arn Anderson, Curt Hennig and Randy Orton. Arn bypasses the fighting and makes straight for his former pupil Chris Benoit and calls him over. Benoit goes over to where Arn is and they begin at first talking then arguing and then Chris lowers the boom on Anderson with a hard right hand that sends his former mentor to the concrete floor below. Orton and Hennig jump in the ring and take out Benoit and then whip him into the ropes; Chris rebounds off the ropes and gets tossed over the top with a high back body drop! Austin starts to attack and then changes gears stepping out of the ring until Orton and Hennig exit the ring as well. That leaves the match as pretty much one-on-one between Taz and Austin. The Texas Rattle Snake and Taz lock up in the center of the ring with Taz quickly going in behind Austin who elbows his way free and then they're back to exchanging right hands with Austin finally nailing a boot to the gut and goes for the Stunner but Taz powers out of it sending Steve to the ropes; Austin rebounds off the ropes and goes for the Thez Press but Taz catches him and turns it into a Gargoyle Suplex! Taz quickly goes on the attack and locks in the Tazmission!!! Taz has it cinched in, but Austin manages to get in on the side of him and hits a belly-to-back suplex on Taz. Both men get back to their feet quickly but Austin is quicker and hits a boot to the gut and a Stunner!!! Steve makes the cover and picks up the win for his team.

Winners: Steve Austin and Chris Benoit in 17:25 via pinfall.

After the match Austin and the rest of Hydra celebrate in the ring with Austin still in posession of Triple H's ECW World title belt posing on the turnbuckles and taunting the crowd. Styles, "Oh My God...Hydra still overcame the odds and came out on top. What will happen Monday? Will The Kliq return or are they gone from ECW for good like Easy E says they are?!!!"
