Fantasy Wrestling Update - Part 1Story By: John Sivewright November 12, 2002 Hi folks and welcome to the first ever Fantasy Update. I'm John Sivewright and I'll be keeping you up to speed with all of the events going on in fantasy wrestling. First of all, let's begin with RFI (Room For Improvement) Fantasy Wrestling. It may seem to the average reader that not much is happening with RFI these days, but that could not be further from the truth. A whole host of comings and goings have occured in these last few weeks, but RFI aims to come out stronger than ever. Here's the deal with each promotion ... WWF - WWF is dark at this present moment but will return this Sunday with Survivor Series. I've managed to get the details of several matches on the card, which looks electric! The main event will pit Edge against The Undertaker, Kurt Angle and Bill Goldberg in a fatal fourway for the vacant WWF World Heavyweight Championship. A new title has been created by the WWF, called the Atlantic Title. It shall be decided by a singles encounter between Chris Nowinski and Maven. Nidia shall be accompanying Chris Nowinski to ringside, whilst rumours are running rampant of another Tough Enough diva being there to pledge her support for Maven. In a survivor series elimination encounter, we will see newcomers Maximum Impact (Joel and Jose Maximo) team up with the Eliminators to take on the foursome of Danny Doring, Roadkill and the Pitbulls. When one man is pinned, both he and his partner must return to the locker room. The surviving team (or teams, if the case may be) shall go on to wrestle John Cena and Chuck Palumbo later on in the broadcast to determine who the new tag-team champions will be. Finally, we will see a Wet T-Shirt Contest at the Survivor Series. We shall witness some WWF newcomers in this one as Tylene Buck (formerly known as Major Gunns) goes against Veronica Caine and Jazz. Those are just a few of the matches that will take place at the Survivor Series which looks set to be an historic card from fantasy WWF. WWF is going through changes in the writing department. New assistant booker Daniel Olsen looks set already to be promoted to head booker. I am currently head booker, but I shall be moving onto pastures greener very shortly. Daniel shall take the head booker spot, leaving a vacancy available for assistant booker. There will be information coming out very soon as to how you can apply for a vacancy in RFI. WCW - WCW is also dark at this time, but I can confirm that a return date has been set in stone. It will be Monday 25th November. Details of the broadcast as of yet are unknown. WCW has a new writing team, Tyler Hodges and Tim Beauregard, so good luck to them with WCW. ECW - ECW has been going through a rough patch lately with assistant booker Jim Simmons leaving due to work commitments and head booker William Flener struggling for the same reasons. ECW shall soon get a new assistant booker and once William's work pressures ease, ECW should come back with the same high quality shows that they are reknowned for. Many trades have gone down while RFI's doors have been effectively closed. I can't spill the beans on any of them right now, but rest assured that you will be surprised! Hell, the surprises could well start this Sunday with WWF Survivor Series! Coming up soon will be part 2, an in depth look at life in FWA and following that will be information on your chance to become a fantasy wrestling writer!
