XPW Overload! Special Edition!
December 19th 2002
From Viking Hall, Philly, Pa
Announcers: Joey Styles, and Joel Gertner
Written by Jim West

A video package rolls of events that transpired just four nights ago at the very violent “Away In A Mangler.” It shows Buelah turning yet again, and Tommy Dreamer apparently quitting XPW. It then moves on to show Kid Kash tossing LoKi 30 ft. down through C4 tables. The clip moves on to show the heroics of Jerry Lynn as he single handedly won the tag team gold for FUNK U in the TLC from hell match. The clip briefly shows Raven winning the tv title thanks to Taz, and then shifts to show “Sick” Nick Mondo making a surprise debut and winning, the Death Match title. It shows the Limo driving away with the liscense “Board 1, and then shifts to shots from the Temple Of Carnage. The clip is then cut short as “Perfect Strangers” by Deep Purple plays as out walks The Franchise Shane Douglas, with microphone in hand. The crowd gives a good reaction to Douglas who came very close to winning the world title just four nights ago. Douglas jumps in the ring. Franchise, “For the past five or six years I’ve been stuck down here busting my ass in these cult level promotions while I’ve been forced to watch pieces of crap like Stone Cold Steve Austin get big endorsements, and big contracts. I’ve watched Bill Goldberg become a big star, and then dissapear from the radar only to reappear as half of what he used to be. Now after all my hard work, after visiting every damn school gymnasium across the country, I have been noticed! Yeah, you heard me right! The Franchise is moving up, and XPW, and all you kool aid drinking fans, can kiss my WWE Ass, because I quit! Franchise begins to leave the ring to a chorus of boos when the glass breaks and out comes former WWE super star Steve Austin! Austin, “What! What! What! You think your going to WWE (WHAT) You think your going to be a huge star (WHAT) You think you can trust Vince (WHAT) Vince McMahon (WHAT) The Owner of WWE (WHAT) well UGH UGH! How about before you leave, you let me try and convince you to stay, how about you get into that ring with the Champion, Stone Cold Steve Austin!” The old ECW music then hits and out walks XPW owner Paul Heyman! Heyman, “Wait just one second, there Franchise, or should I say Deen Douglas! I made you, ME not Vince McMahon. It was me Paul Heymen that made you a star. You know what Franchise, I made you and I can sure as hell un make you! Your still under contract with XPW, but I’ll tell you what, tonight you run an XPW gauntlet, and if you survive, you can go. You can pack your damn bags and walk out on every single one of these fans, and run to Vince McMahon!” Franchise, “And what the hell are you going to do if I say no?” Heyman, “Well Shane, you can’t say no because if you do you violate your contract and then I sue your ass, for more money than Vince McMahon can afford! I suggest you get ready because you will fight tonight!” Heyman then leaves. Austin gives Franchise the finger and he too then leaves. Styles, “What The Hell? Franchise in WWE? Why!”

(Commercial Break) 7:15 - 7:30

The pyro hits and the music plays as the camera pans around the Viking hall to see a jam packed arena of over 11,000 all on their feet for tonights special edition of XPW Overload! Sabu’s music then hits and out comes the suicidal, genocidal, homicidal Sabu for his one on one match with Brock Lesnar!

Brock Lesnar v. Sabu
Brock’s music hits and the former Death Match champ makes his wlk to the ring to a lot of heat from the crowd. He jumps into the ring and id immediately attacked by Sabu. This match is underway with a bang. Styles, “This match will be nothing like were used to seeing from either of these two men, since the damn board has banned deathmatch weapons.” Brock delivers some stiff punches and then shoves Sabu into the corner where he continues to pummel him. Brock then locks around Sabu’s waist and tosses him half way across the ring with a big suplex. Brock then lifts Sabu and tosses him into the turnbuckle. Brock continues his assault by brutally attacking Sabu. Lesnar hits with multiple back elbows and then slam Sabu down wit ha devastating side walk slam. Lesnar stops to gloat and then slowly goes back to assault Sabu. Lesnar lifts him into the air and it looks as if he’s going for the double power bomb. Sabu however has other plans and twist away and drops Lesnar with a face buster. Sabu quickly backs up to the ropes and then begins driving his boots into the ribs and mid section of Brock Lesnar. Sabu drops a leg and moves lighting fast, in order to neutralize the much larger Lesnar. Sabu hit’s a rolling thunder onto Lesnar, ala RVD, and then goes right back to the offensive and hit’s a lion sault. Styles, “Hey I’ve seen that move somewhere else!” Sabu then goes for the cover and what many would see as an upset. 1... 2... No, Lesnar kicks out by tossing Sabu off from him. Lesnar manages to get up to a knee, when a low bridge drop kick sends him back down, and clutching his knee. The action then comes to a halt as the big screen shows a view of the parking lot and a limo with the plates; BOARD 1 on it. Styles “That’s the same car from Mangler!” Nick Mondo is shown getting out of the car and walking towards ringside. The scene cuts out and we return to the ring where Lesnar has retaken Sabu. Lesnar tosses him to the ropes but just like that Sabu is right back in it as he counters and sends Brock flailing over the roves and onto the floor wit ha drop kick. Subu then spring boards off the top rope and comes crashing down onto Lesnar with a big flying leg drop. Both men a very slow to get up. The two men remain outside the ring for much longer than 10 seconds, before getting back in the ring. Sabu is in first and attempts a base ball slide as Lesnar goes to get back into the ring. Lesnar dodges and then slams Sabu to the floor. Brock then bounces Sabu’s head off the announce table several times before tossing him back in the ring. Lesnar then drops Sabu with an F5 and goes for the cover. The ref begins to count 1... 2... Then a voice is heard over the pa system. “STOP! STOP YOUR DAMN COUNT RIGHT NOW!!!” Styles, “What the hell?” The action in the ring stops as Nick Mondo comes onto the scene. Mondo, “No, this match is officially a double count out! I, Nick Mondo, speak for the board in saying that this match is a disgrace to the wrestling rule book!” Styles, “We have a rule book?” Gertner, “I must have missed that memo!” Mondo, “Those men were outside the ring for far longer than the allowed 10 seconds, and Mr. Lesnar used the announce table as a weapon. This obsurdness will cease! The Board is here to take out the Xtreme and add the Pro Wrestling, and until that happens OUR presence will be felt in every single match tonight! Thank You all and enj….” Mondo is cut off by the music of Paul Heyman who comes out with Rob Van Dam to a huge pop from the crowd. Heyman, “Who in the hell do you think you are? Your just a puppy here in a jungle full of Lions! What makes you think that you have any say so in how this business is ran, how MY business is ran? There is no one here to enforce it, and I have a locker room full of guys who will kick your ass all over this arena!” Heyman and RVD are then attacked by Jerry Lawler and Randy Orton! Gertner, “Speaking of Puppies” Styles, “What the hell is this?” Lesnar and Sabu begin running to help the XPW owner, but Orton and Lawler escape.

(Commercial Break) 7:30 - 7:45

Styles, “I don’t know what exactly just happened, but Jerry Lawler and Randy Orton? The Board?

Grudge Match
Balls Mahoney v. Axl Rotten

Balls comes to the ring to a decent ovation, while Axl enters to mainly boos from the crowd. Styles, “Let anyone tell these guys not to use chairs!” Balls and Axl both arm themselves with steel chairs and enter the ring. The ref tries to get them to let go of the chairs but takes a concerto for his trobles. Balls and Axl then begin sword fighting, except with chair until both of them toss the chairs aside and just brawl. Both of them takes their turn getting shots in but the match remains mostly even for the better half of a minute. The fight looks like a UFC brawl. Both men get to their feet and it looks like we have a wrestling match as Axl irish whips Balls to the ropes. Balls ducks under a clothesline coming back, and then tackles Axl back down to the mat and we have ourselves a ufc style brawl again. Finally the brawl spills to the outside of the ring where the real action begins. Both men begin going for whatever weapons they can find. Axl pulls out a no parking sign and tosses it aside, then gets a stop sign and decides to use it. Balls in the mean time has pulled out a sledge hammer. Before Balls can use it however he gets drilled with a hard shot from the sign. Balls doesn’t go down, he fights it like ussuall, but after three shots he drops the hammer, and in one more drops himself. Axl then raises the stop sign far into the air, but gets nothing but heat from the crowd. Axl then tosses the stop sign down on top of Balls and goes searching for a new weapon. Balls, while this is going on claims the sign for his own use and then lays it hard across Axl Rotten’s back. Axl goes down in pain and then the action goes back into the ring as Balls tosses Axl in. Balls gets in the ring and then stops. He appears to have a wild look in his eye, as he snaps his head side ways to look at the turn buckle. Styles, “Those stop sign shots must have knocked something loose! Don’t tell me Balls is thinking of… He is!” Balls begins climbing the ropes all the way to the top rope, as the fans really start to get behind him. Balls then leaps off the top rope and comes splashing down atop Axl to a traditional “Oh My God” from styles and chants of “Holy Shit” from the crowd. Balls seemingly amazed with himself goes for the cover. A still recovering ref begins his count, 1... 2... No, Axl kicks out. Balls can’t believe it as all his efforts are for nothing. Balls then lifts Axl and starts to suplex him but opts for the head butt instead. Axl then shakes off the head butt and gives one in return followed by a return head butt from Balls. This continues until Balls finally charges into the corner taking Axl with him. Axl bounces off the turnbuckle and Balls attempts to roll him up for the cover, but they tumble through it leaving Axl with the cover. Axl grabs a hand full of tights and gets the 1, 2, 3 and the win!

Winner via cheap pin fall 9:12: Axl Rotten

The scene then shifts back stage where Leia Meow is standing with Supreme. Meow, “Supreme, what are your thoughts about the death match being banned from TV? Supreme, I am the king of the Death Match, and no one not even the board can take that away. I am also an agile 350 pounder, and I can crush any body in this business!” Spike Dudley then comes walking onto the scene. Spike looks innocent but the begins attacking Supreme. Spike even manages hitting an acid drop, using the wall that leaves Supreme laying. Spike snatches the microphone away from Leia. Spike “I am tired of being looked at as a light weight, The new Super Delux Spike Dudley, will show every one, starting with Supreme. If you have the balls th face the double SD meet me in the ring!” Spike then begins walking towards the ring as we cut to break.

(Commercial Break) 7:45 - 8:00

As we return to break the new “Double SD” Super Delux Spike Dudley is in the ring. He waits briefly before Supreme makes his entrance.

Supreme v. Double SD Super Delux Spike Dudley

Spike waste no time in going after Supreme. He lunges at him as if he were a heavy weight and gets choke tossed into the center of the ring. This however doesn’t slow Spike down, and he goes right back after Supreme. Gertner, “Did someone give Spike Acid? He’s like a rabid Chihauhau!” Supreme doesn’t seem to be phased and drops Spike with another choke toss. Spike again bounces right back up, and now the crowd gets behind, the resilient Spike Dudley. Spike finally phases Supreme by hitting a drop kick to the knees, and then brings him all the way down with a fame asser type knee drop. Spike then begins dropping multiple elbows onto Supreme and then goes for a quick cover. Spike barely gets a one count before being tossed high into the air by Supreme. Spike gets right back up again and this time gets caught by Supreme who attempts a power bomb, but instead gets slammed to the mat with a face buster. Spike then begins booting Supreme in the head but gets tossed away as Supreme gets ahold of Spikes foot. Supreme then doesn’t let up on Spike. He tosses him from corner to corner before finally running in after him. Spike counters Supreme’s charge by lifting up and hiting a double boot to the face and then a diving clothesline. Spike then shoves Supreme into the corner and hit’s a charging head butt. Spike goes for the acid drop to finish off Supreme but rather gets tosses, landing ass first in center ring. Spike is now slow to get up ans Supreme finally seems to have him slowed down. Supreme picks up the much smaller Spike Dudley, and suplexes him all across the ring. Supreme then slams spike into the corner with a choke toss and begins beating the hell out of him with hard punches. Supreme then vertical presses him and tosses him down over the ropes bouncing him off the hard arena floor like a rag doll. Supreme then goes outside the ring as well, and picks up Spike again, who is now clutching at his ribs. Supreme throws Spike back into the ring and gestures as if he is whipping his hands. Supreme gets back in the ring and goes back after Spike who tries desperately to fight back but to no avail. Spike gets irish whipped into the ropes, and then ducks under a clothesline only to be dropped by a big boot as he bounces back off the opposite rope. Supreme then hit’s a fall away slam, and goes for the cover. 1... 2... Thr… No! Spike Dudley, or Double SD as he calls himself gets a shoulder up. Supreme, who is now very aggravated lifts Spike up, but Spike manages to get away, and delivers a drop kick, as Supremes aggravation proves to be a weakness. Spike then tries to hit a jump swinging ddt but gets tossed to the mat instead. Spike drapes over the apron, and as Supreme approaches him, Spike delivers a punch that bust Supreme open, and sends him out cold crashing to the mat. We then see Double SD with a Spiked Glove. He quickly takes it off, and then covers Supreme. The ref then counts the 1, 2, 3! And Spike Dudley has pulled the major upset.

Winner via pin fall 9:01: Spike Dudley!

We then go back stage where Paul Heyman is in his office with RVD. Heyman, “Rob, it looks to me like Jerry Lawler wants a war! I think we should give it to him.” Raven then comes walking into the office. “Look at the two of you, probly plotting against a decrepit old man, who has never been anywhere close to extreme in his entire exsistance. Worse than that, you actually seem to be worried about him. Randy Orton is nothing but a vague shadow on the canvas of his father’s legacy, and Jerry Lawler a sex crazed has been who doesn’t have the vision to see outside his era.” RVD, “Dude, I didn’t understand a word you just said, Raven come on man, your not exactly a poet.” Heyman, “No, I got it, what our friend Raven here is saying is that he wants to team up with you tonight, to face Nick Mondo and Randy Orton! Isn’t that right…” Heyman turns to where Raven was, but he is no longer there. Heyman, “Where the hell did he go?” RVD, “Hey relax, if he doesn’t show up R-V-D, will take care of things all by himself.”

(Commercial Break) 8:00 - 8:15

When we return we are shown a shot from before the show started when the new Tag Team Champions FUNK U, entered their locker room. Danny Doring was there waiting for them and immediately attacked Sandman. Jerry Lynn, got involved to help his partner and it ended with Road Kill barging in, and Doring challenging Sandman for a one on one match.

Triple D, Dangerous Danny Doring v. The Sandman

Triple D comes down to the ring wit h Road Kill by his side. The crowd gives them a mixed reaction as neither of them seem to be over with the crowd. FUNK U’s music hits and the team of The Sandman and Jerry Lynn get an un usually loud ovation, as Terry Funk comes out with them. Styles, “Terry Funk is back on Nightmare! The legend isn’t dead after all!” Sandman gets in the ring as Road Kill and Funk stay outside. Doring and Sandman lock up into a collar and elbow tie up, with Doring getting the first advantage with a text book wrist lock. Sandman quickly reverses the hold. Sandman then irish whips Doring into the ropes, and Doring avoids the clothesline. Doring comes back and Sandman is quickly onto his stomach. Doring jumps over top. Sandman is up and Doring attempts a leap frog over sandman but gets caught in mid air and slammed down hard with a power bomb. Sandman then goes for the cover but can only muster a weak two count, as Triple D easily kicks out. Sandman then locks a rear chin lock onto Doring, but Doring manages to get to the ropes. Sandman releases, and goes for another whip to the ropes. Doring reverses though and it is Sandman who goes into the ropes and then down to the mat as Triple D, hit’s a knee lift to The Sandman’s mid section. Doring then locks on a bow and arrow lock, as this match is more technical than imagined. The hold is released and Doring attack goes air born as he mounts the top rope, and comes off with a flying elbow. Sandman quickly rolls out of the way and Doring’s elbow bounces off the mat. Doring grabs his elbow in pain, as he rolls onto his back. This leaves him wide open for Sandman to deliver an elbow drop of his own, right across Triple D’s throat. Sandman attempts the cover but D kicks out at two. Lynn then jumps onto the apron. The ref attempts to get him down, diverting his attention away from the match. Sandman then gets a kindo Stick from Funk and slaps it across Doring’s head and back several times, disposing of it before the ref turns back around. Road Kill has now jumped to the apron in protest, which allows for Lynn and Sandman to double team Doring in the corner. Again they don’t get caught, and everything continues as normal. The ref then forces Sandman out of the corner causing Sandman wide open to receive a kick to the groin from Doring that knock Sandman into the ref, and the ref is out. A total meylay breaks loose as all five men are in the ring. Jerry Lynn takes out Doring with a brutal shot from the tag title, and then also drops Road Kill. Terry Funk knocks Road Kill to the outside and continues to assault him as Jerry Lynn sets up a table on the other side of the ringside area. Sandman gets back to his feet, half slouched over in obvious pain from the nut shot. Terry Funk then pulls out the lighter fluid and sprays the table. He lights a match and here we go its flaming table time!!!! The ref begins to come to and tries to stop what is about to happen, but gets tripped down to the mat by Terry Funk. Jerry Lynn then assist Sandman in lifting Doring up into the air, and just as they do, two masked men run in from the crowd. Doring goes through the table, and the two men are in the ring. Styles, “Who the hell?” The two men dominate FUNK U. Terry Funk gets involved and he too gets taken out. The two men claim the titles and use them as weapons, on Sandman and Jerry Lynn as well as Terry Funk. The ref sees all this and right away calls for the bell.

No Contest at 8:17 via Interferance

The assault in the ring continues as the two masked men wreak havoc. The lights then begin to flicker before going completely off. When the come back on Raven is in the ring and drops both masked men with a double even flow ddt. Raven stands with his arms directly out to the sides. The crowd cheers wildly as Raven has taken out both masked men. Raven then calls for Lawler, as he threatens to rip the mask off. Nick Mondo comes out instead. Mondo, “Ah Raven! The mysterious Raven! You should think before you act Raven, those two have nothing to do with the board, so You have nothing to hold against us. But Raven, I know what you want. You wan’t Heyman’s match tonight to take place. Well I’ll take part in your match, but not because of those two, its because I respect you, Its because we respect you. I’ve been backstage and I hear people snicker that you are not good enough for that TV title. Do you know what I say? I say, what about you, what about Raven. I say that it is that belt isn’t good enough for you! Join us Raven, don’t fight us. Think it over, and we’ll see you for the match!” Raven doesn’t say a word in rebuttal, he just sits in the corner of the ring and waits as we cut backstage where Buelah and Vader seem to be celebrating. Vader then notices a TV that is showing the NWA show. Vader, “What the hell is Dreamer doing in NWA?” Buelah, “What, He was serious?” we then hear Styles’ voice “What, Oh my God! It can’t be true!” as we cut to commercial

(Commercial Break) 8:15 - 8:30

Rob Van Dam’s music hits and out comes The one and only RVD to a thunderous ovation from the crowd. He gets to the ring to join his partner Raven, and pose for the crowd. His posing is abruptly cut off however as “Interstate Love Song” by STP plays and out walks Jerry Lawler with Randy Orton and Nick Mondo.

Tag Team By The Book Match
Raven & Rob Van Dam v. Nick Mondo & Randy Orton

RVD and Randy Orton are the first to face of. The two of them just circle one another sizing the other up. They finally lock up into a collar and elbow tie up. RVD then out of nowhere hit’s a monkey flip, that doesn’t hurt orton but breaks the tie up. Both men are right back up, and lock up again. Orton gets in a wrist lock which is quickly reversed by RVD who uses it to his advantage to hit a step over heel kick that floors Orton. RVD then delivers with a big spinning leg drop followed by a standing moon sault and the former world champ has this East Philly crowd up and on their feet chanting “RVD, RVD” RVD then jumps over and knock Mondo off the apron with a fast fore arm shot. RVD then goes for the rolling thunder but Orton gets his knees up, and drives them into Van Dam’s gut. Van Dam rolls around in pain and Orton gets onto his feet and tags in Mondo. Mondo goes right after Van Dam and puts the boots to him. Mondo helps RVD to his feet and hit’s a vertical suplex. Mondo makes a big mistake as he stops and mocks RVD’s signiture thumb taunt. This gives RVD the opening he needs and he tags in Raven to a chorus of cheers from the crowd. Raven doesn’t seem to be in any hurry to get in the ring as he slowly enters the ring. Mondo gets to him before he climbs through the ropes and irish whips him into the corner. Mondo runs in after him, but Raven drops and sits in the corner, avoiding the impact and sending Mondo crashing into the turnbuckle as he attempts a splash. Mondo then tags in Orton as Raven continues to just sit there. Orton then taunts Raven to get up, and he does. Orton then tries to tie up with Raven but Raven hit’s a drop toe hold, and the quickly delivers a knee to Orton’s back. Raven then picks Orton up to his feet and drops him with a neck breaker before tagging RVD back into the match. He comes in with a bang hitting a big spring board leg drop onto Orton, and going for the pin. He gets a one count before Mondo breaks it up. RVD gets up and attempts to go after Mondo but the ref steps in the middle. This gives Randy Orton enough time to recover and he rolls up Van Dam from behind getting a two count . RVD then tries to mount another offensive but is knocked to the floor with a stiff drop kick. Lawler then takes advantage and delivers some kicks to Van Dam before rolling him back in to the waiting Randy Orton. Orton then hit’s a high impact Vertical suplex. And goes for the pin but Raven gets involved a quickly breaks it up before once again exiting the ring. Randy Orton is able to go back on the attack but not for long as RVD gets a head of steam and retakes the advantage. RVD delivers a few fore arm shots and then Irish whips him into the ropes, and springs off the ropes with a back elbow. Van Dam then climbs to the top turn buckle. He looks left, He looks right and prepares to launch for the Five Star Frog Splash, but Nick Mondo makes the save by lifting the ropes, causing Van Dam to fall, straddling the top rope. Randy Orton snaps into action and rushes into a super plex. Orton then hit’s the pile driver on RVD and goes for the pin. 1... 2... Thr… No! RVD kicks out. Randy Orton then tags in Nick Mondo, who climbs to the top and goes for a big swan ton, but misses. Both men are down, as we have to cut to commercial.

(Commercial Break) 8:30 - 8:45

When we return from break RVD has just made the tag to Raven and Mondo makes the tag to Orton. The match is now Raven v. Randy Orton, and Raven finally seems to have some life in him as he easily takes down Orton. Raven then whips Orton into the corner and follows it up with a charging clothesline, and then a bulldog. Raven then slides out of the ring and gets a chair. Mondo yells for him to put the chair down, and take his offer. Raven then strangly tosses the chair aside and holds Orton as he tags in RVD, who is still exhausted. RVD keeps the advantage and really lays a beating on Orton. RVD Irish whips Orton into the corner, and then brings him crashing down with a spinning ddt. Van Dam then lands with his sit down spring board from the tope rope. RVD isn’t done yet he goes up top, turns his head to both sides as he makes his thumb gestures and comes off the top with the Five Star Frog Splash, and the crowd is in a frenzy. Van Dam covers and This could be the end! 1... 2... NO! Lawler pulled the referee out. Mondo then drills Van Dam with the title, but Raven gets involved. Raven jumps into the ring and drops Mondo with a quick Even Flow DDT! Mondo is down. Raven then leaves the ring and begins walking to the back. RVD, drapes his arm over Orton, as the ref slides back into the ring, 1... 2... Thr… NO! Randy Orton kicked out. Orton then struggles to his feet at first, but makes it up to the top rope and lands a moon sault onto Raven. The ref counts, 1... 2... 3! Randy Orton pins RVD! And the Board has taken this match! They have won the first battle. Styles, “Where The hell did Raven go?”

Winners via pin fall 20:26: Nick Mondo and Randy Orton

We then shift to a backstage, parking lot scene where Raven is seen getting into a car and driving away. He begins to drive away when a van slams into him. The two masked men then get out and shove him into the back of the van, and drive away. We then go back to the ring where The Franchise is set to run “The Gauntlet To Freedom” for his chance to leave XPW! “Perfect Strangers” plays and out walks Shane Douglas to a decent ovation from this crowd. Styles, “I havn’t always agreed with the actions of Shane, but to think that this is the last time we will ever see him in XPW… It’s just sad.” Gertner, “Douglas exemplifies everything Extreme, He is a Marquee guy, and he deserves the big time.” Franchise gets into the ring and awaits his first opponent. The old ECW music then hits and out walks Paul Heyman. Franchise, “Wait, don’t tell me that you’re my first opponent!” Heyman, “No, I’m just here to try one last time to talk you out of this.” Franchise, “There is no talking me out of it Paul, I’ve waited for this to happen damn near my entire career!” Heyman, “Than Franchise… “This is your life” first you might remember this guy! He was your roommate back in wrestling school, and your best friend! You promised him that when you made it, you would bring him up with you and you never did! (Some un familiar music hits) Michael Modest!” Styles, “Modest here? He’s an Indy guy.”

Gauntlet Of Freedom
Franchise v. 5 opponents! For his freedom from XPW!

Michael Modest comes down to the ring, to square off against Franchise. They lock up right away and the pace of the action is very fast. Franchise hit’s a knee smash, then locks on a half crab. Franchise gets Modest up, and without hessitation goes in for the Pittsburgh Plunge but it is blocked by Modest. Modest then lifts Franchise into the air and slams him down with an extraordinary impact move. The move looks almost like an elevated impaler/death valley driver. Nonetheless it gets the job done and it doesn’t look like Franchise is getting up! Modest rather than pinning Franchise shakes his hand and then leaves the ring, and walks back stage. Heyman, “Okay, Okay well here how’s this one for you! This guys Dad, was the guy who trained you! That’s right… Making his XPW debut, Shawn Stasiak. The crowd gives Shawn a warm welcome to XPW, but Franchise doesn’t and quickly takes him out with a series of vertical suplexes. Franchise Irish whips Stasiak to the ropes and then flips him over with a knee lift to the abdomen. Douglas then drops down, and slaps on an effective sleeper hold. Stasiak struggles to maintain consciousness, but fails, and the ref moves in. He lifts Stasiak’s arm, but Stasiak holds, and the match isn’t over yet! Franchise then lifts Stasiak up with the sleeper hold still locked and then snaps right back into the Franchiser! One, Two, Three! Franchise pins Stasiak!

Pinfall 4:13: Franchise

Paul Heyman then begins to look a little nervous. Heyman, your next opponenet needs no introduction! Chris Candido comes out! Styles, “It’s Candido! Candido v. Franchise? We’ve got to go to break!”

(Final Break) 8:45 - 9:00

As we return from break, Candido is pleading with Franchise to not leave XPW! Franchise doesn’t seem to be changing his mind, and reluctantly the two lock up. Candido slaps on a headlock, but Franchise powers out of it shoving Candido into the ropes. Candido then ducks a clothesline. Franchise manages to avoid the return attack, as he falls to the ground. Both of them then stop and stare at each other before locking up again. This time Douglas gets the advantage by delivering a knee shot to Candido’s stomach, and then slamming him down with a ddt. Franchise then goes for a quick cover. 1... 2... No, Candido gets his shoulder up! Franchise then whips Candido back into the ropes, but misses another clothesline. Candido then drops Franchise with a fast side kick. Candido then puts the boots to Franchise. Candido climbs to the second rope and then drops a knee to the lower back of the Franchise. It seems as if Douglas has finally met his match in long time friend, Chris Candido! Chris then picks Shane up to his feet and attempts to lift him up for a vertical suplex, but it is countered by Franchise, and Chris Candido goes down, with the Pittsburgh Plunge! Franchise then covers up and gets the easy 1, 2, 3!

Pinfall 8:33: Franchise

Heyman then introduces Shane’s next opponent as one of his heroes! The crowd wonders who it is going to be when all of the sudden they erupt as a heavily bandaged Mick Foley appears on stage! The chants begin right away “Foley, Foley, Foley!” Franchise looks very worried as he waits for Foley to make his way down to the ring. Styles, “Oh My God! I didn’t think Foley could even walk!” Foley gets in the ring and him and Franchise immediately exchange punches! The crowd is still very heavily behind Foley, as Franchise gets the advantage. Shane whips Foley to the ropes and drops him down with a clothesline. Terry Funk has now made his way out to Heyman’s side. Franchise doesn’t let up on Foley, as he knows he is running on empty. Franchise snap suplexes Foley, but then gets a finger to the eye as he tries to lift him back to his feet. Foley then right out of nowhere pulls the mandable claw on Franchise who drops down onto his back in pain. Foley holds it for nearly twenty seconds before Franchise finally breaks the hold by clenching one of the bottom ropes. Franchise gets no time to recover as Foley continues the attack, by delivering hard kicks to the ribs of Franchise. Foley then hit’s a running knee strike against the ropes, onto Franchise, knocking him to the floor. Foley chases him out of the ring and tosses him right back in. Foley, then piledrives The Franchise. Styles, “Douglas has got nothing left.” Heyman and Terry Funk then get attacked by the trio of Jerry Lawler, Randy Orton, and Nick Mondo as they make their way to the ring. Lawler then gets a chair and nails Foley, knocking him right into Franchise who rolls him up, and gets the three count.

Franchise pins Foley: 13:05
The attack continues with Franchise exhausted, until the glass shatters and out runs Shane Douglas’s final opponent Steve Austin! Austin gets the upper hand on all three members of the board handing out hard right hands to all of them. The Texas Rattlesnake seems to have them all reeling, and then drills Randy Orton with a Stunner. Austin does his damage, but unfortunately gives Lawler and Mondo the opening that they need, and they stomp a mudhole into Austin. Rob Van Dam then comes running down to ringside and neutralizes the situation, until Franchise armed with a chair takes him out. Styles, “What The Hell!?” Franchise then helps the trio of the board, as Lawler Pile drives Austin onto the exposed concrete floor! Lawler and company then roll Austin into the ring, and leave him wide open for Franchise who drops Austin with a Pittsburgh Plunge to a chorus of boos, and gets a very easy, 1, 2, 3! Franchise has won the right to leave XPW. Styles, “This is a sad day for XPW! I can’t believe it Shane Douglas is leaving!”

Franchise pins Austin 15:57 Winner: Shane Douglas

The three men then join Franchise in the ring and celebrate with him. The crowd boos very loudly, as the show goes off the air with an embrace between Jerry Lawler and Shane Douglas!
