WCW Monday Night Nitro Tulsa Convention Centre Tulsa, Oklahoma April 14 Written by: Joseph Fagan and Matt Schell Commentators: Tony Schiavione and Mark Madden Highlights from Uncensored flash across the scene. Bill Goldberg destroying Scott Hall and then being dragged away by the police is shown. Other notable moments include Dean Malenko retaining the X Division Title, Kevin Nash beating Sid Vicious and Ron Killings capturing the US Championship. Billy Kidman winning the TV Title due to a miscalculated chair shot from Ric Flair, the Nature Boy being abandoned by the Heenan Family and Lex Lugar helping Randy Savage beat Syxx-Pac is also shown. The video package comes to a close with footage of Scott Steiner walking out of Uncensored as the NEW World Champion on behalf of nWo-Wolfpack. [7:00 - 7:15] Fireworks light up the Tulsa Convention Centre as the thousands upon thousands of fans in the arena rise to their feet. Schiavione, “We are fresh off one of the biggest events in professional wrestling history!” Madden, “We saw titles change hands and we saw a World Champion being crowned.” Schiavione, “Tonight not only will we bring to you the fallout from that event but we are also scheduled to crown our own X-Division Tag Team Champions!” Madden, “In a 3-Way Tag Team Match we’ll see the Jung Dragons take on 3 Count who will in turn take on another unnamed team.” Schiavione, “We’re expecting to hear from Wolfpack any minute now...right on cue.” *HOWLLLLL!!* Syxx-Pac is first through the curtain with his arms raised for the cameras. Mike Sanders and Vince Russo follow pointing to the next arrival through the curtain, World Champion Scott Steiner and his freak Midajah. The Outsiders then arrive followed finally by Buff Bagwell who strikes his trademark pose as fireworks explode beside the entranceway. Schiavione, “Here come the unholy army, the vermin, the poison...nWo-Wolfpack.” The faction enter the ring and Vince Russo takes the microphone. Russo, “So much to say and so little time.” He grins as the fans boo him. Russo, “I’m not interested in what you have to say. In fact you can boo Wolfpack and call us assholes all you like because it won’t change the simple fact that it was the Wolfpack team captain that won the WCW Championship last night at Uncensored.” Trash in thrown into the ring but Syxx-Pac kicks it back out. Russo, “Uncensored had its ups and its downs but we got what we came for...the World Title and nobody can change that. That championship match was well fought by all four men involved even if it meant that Diamond Dallas Page can’t be here tonight. You see DDP was thrown off of the cage, he was busted wide open, he was pulverised and he suffered injuries that prevent him from attending tonight’s show. However, when Page returns next week, I’m going to have something waiting for him. All I’ll say is that when DDP returns next week after nursing his injuries, he better be prepared to wrestle.” Russo gives us a cryptic smile. Russo, “Also at Uncensored we saw Bill Goldberg being dragged out of the arena by police officers because he violated the terms and conditions of his bail when he showed up at Uncensored and starting beating on my good friend, Scott Hall in a match which I couldn’t sanction. You see, wCw is about family entertainment and escaped convicts don’t belong on a family orientated show. So Goldberg, until you clear this mess up...you’re suspended.” An ‘asshole’ chant breaks out. Russo, “Now we’ve talked enough about last night and next week. It’s time that we concentrate on tonight! Tonight I have asked for the Lion’s Den Cage to be set up so that we can have another Lion’s Den Match but this time conform to the traditional rules. Victory will be attained through submission or KO but you’ll find out about that later on. Just now I want to hand over the microphone to the man of the moment.” Scott Steiner takes the microphone and holds the wCw Title belt in the air. Steiner, “Take a good look at it. It’s as close as any of you pieces of trash out there will ever come to solid gold. If you saw Uncensored last night then you will have seen the determination, the blood, the sweat, the tears...you will have seen everything that I put into winning this championship! If that is the case then you will know that the other three jackasses involved in that match aren’t nearly as deserving of fame and fortune as the Big Bad Booty Daddy. Tonight is all about celebrating the fact that the better man won.” Wolfpack applaud but the fans start chanting ‘Steiner sucks’. Steiner, “Nothing is going to stop me from enjoying my time in the spotlight so you can shut the hell up, every last one of you because its not working.” *The Cho- Cho- Chosen One* Jeff Jarrett makes his way through the curtain with his microphone. The fans applaud the Chosen One as he strikes a pose for the cameras. Jarrett, “Hate to bust your bubble, slap ass but there are some other people that could do with a little bit of TV time. Namely ‘the Chosen One’ Jeff Jarrett. Now Steiner, you made the mistake a long time ago of pissing me off. I don’t take too well to that. That’s why I’m out here to ask you settle the score. As I understand it the winner of the Triple Deck Cage of Death Match is allowed to appoint the Number One Contender. I’ve talked it over with some of the guys in the locker room and we agreed that if anyone is going to be the Number One Contender then it should be the man that wants you in the ring more than anyone else...ME!!” Steiner, “So you’re proposing Scott Steiner versus Jeff Jarrett for the WCW Title?” Jarrett, “I want that match and I want it tonight!” Steiner, “One word...NO!!” The fans boo Steiner. Steiner, “But I will use my power to appoint a Number One Contender to help make a deal. I’m putting you in the main event tonight. If you win the match then you get a title shot at the next Pay-Per-View...Clash of the Champions 36.” Jarrett, “And what kind of match am I being put in?” Steiner, “A HANDICAP MATCH!! It’ll be Jeff Jarrett versus the Outsiders! You win then you get a title shot at Clash of the Champions. If you lose then I’ll take pleasure in forming you that...YOU’RE FIRED!!” [7:15 - 7:30] Sid Vicious is shown in the interview area with Mean Gene Okerlund. Mean Gene, “Sid Vicious, last night at Uncensored you lost your Power Bomb Match with Kevin Nash.” Sid, “Shut the hell up, Mean Gene! You don’t think I know that? You don’t think that I’ve already been beating myself up over the fact that Kevin Nash beat me last night? Tonight I’m going to win back my pride and I’m going to demonstrate to the whole wide world that I am still a wrecking machine! That I’m still a monster in the squared circle. But most of all, I’m going to show the entire world that I am still VICIOUS!!” Sid leaves the area as Mean Gene turns to the camera. Mean Gene, “Clearly Sid Vicious is upset that he’s lost his last two big matches but the question now is, how will he prove to us that he still is vicious?” Tag Team Match ‘Above Average’ Mike Sanders & Buff Bagwell (nWo-Wolfpack) vs Booker T & ‘Sycho’ Sid Vicious *HOWWWLLLLL!!!* The Wolfpack members Mike Sanders and Buff Bagwell arrive to boos and jeers from the capacity crowd. Schiavione, “Here come two of the Wolfpack B-team in the form of Mike Sanders and Buff Bagwell.” Madden, “These two men got involved in the Lion’s Den Match the other night but were chased off by Lex Lugar. We’ll have a little more on that story later.” *Can you dig it, sucka?!* Booker T heads through the curtain before posing in front of a fireworks display. He heads down the ramp and into the ring, posing on two turnbuckles. Sid Vicious then arrives but doesn’t waste any time. He’s all business judging by the look on his face and immediately he starts to unload right hands on Mike Sanders. Sanders tries to fight back but is floored with a Clothesline. Booker T and Buff Bagwell watch on from the apron as Sid slaps Sanders about. Schiavione, “Sid Vicious is going to prove tonight that he is still mean and that he is still vicious.” Vicious whips Sanders off of the ropes and into a Big Boot. Sid covers his opponent for a two count before beating Sanders’ face against a turnbuckle. The boots are fired at the midsection and Sid then nails a thunderous Vertical Suplex. Sid tags in Booker T and steps onto the apron. The Booker Man takes down Sanders with one Clothesline after another before running into an Arm Drag. Sanders hits a Drop Kick and then uses the ropes as a springboard to nail a Spinning Leg Drop for the one count. Sanders hooks Booker before firing a barrage of knife-edged chops. Booker is pummelled into a corner but he manages to take hold of Mike Sanders by the throat and toss him into the corner. Schiavione, “Now Booker T is in control of this match-up.” Booker fires some knife-edged chops of his own before looking for an Irish Whip. Sanders counters by sending the Book into the opposite turnbuckle. Sanders gets a Clothesline across the chest before scoring a Bulldog for the two count. Mike Sanders goes to the top rope and soars through the air but Booker T catches him with a Houston Sidekick!! Sanders stumbles around the ring before walking into a Book End but gets an elbow to the side of the head. Sanders then runs off of the ropes but is caught with a 110th Street Slam for the near fall. Booker T then heads to the top rope for a Houston Hangover but Sanders rolls onto the apron. The Booker Man collides with the canvas. Sanders then goes to the top rope and soars through the air with a Flying Crossbody for the near fall! Sanders tags in Buff Bagwell who enters the ring with some right hands. Booker T ducks a Clothesline and gets a kick to the gut. He then hits the ropes before connecting with the Scissors Kick for the one...two...thre- Sanders breaks up the pin with a Double Axe Handle. Booker T rolls to his corner and tags in Sid Vicious. Sycho Sid steps into the ring and begins to break out the right hands. Sid Vicious sends Mike Sanders crashing to the canvas with a Choke Slam!! Buff Bagwell nails Vicious from behind but is floored with a Clothesline. Sycho Sid then delivers a Power Bomb for the one...two...three! Winners via pin fall in 6:43: Sid Vicious and Booker T Sid Vicious has his arm raised by the referee but he pulls away from him. Sid then sends the referee crashing to the canvas with a Choke Slam! Mike Sanders struggles to stand but is sent to the canvas again with another Choke Slam. Vicious grabs Buff Bagwell by the throat but Booker T intervenes. Schiavione, “Sid Vicious is proving to the world he is still vicious by Choke Slamming the hell out of anything that moves!” Madden, “It looks like Booker T is now trying to calm him down.” Sid Vicious grabs Booker T by the throat and sends him all the way to the canvas with a CHOKE SLAM!! The fans begin to boo Sid Vicious as he takes a microphone. Sid, “Shut up, assholes! I said that I’d prove to you all that I’m still mean, that I’m still a wrecking machine...that I’m still vicious! And it looks like I just did. You’re looking at a new Sid Vicious!” Schiavione, “We are looking at a new Sid Vicious and I think this new attitude is a bad attitude.” Sid Vicious heads up the aisle leaving a trail of destruction behind him. ***Footage from Uncensored*** Kidman covers the incapacitated David Flair for the one...two...thre NO!! Ric Flair arrives in the nick of time and pulls Kidman off of his son. Ric Flair heads to ringside and retrieves a steel chair. Ric Flair swings the weapon at Billy Kidman but the challenger ducks and the champion tastes the steel chair. Tenay, “Oh my God! Ric Flair looked to help out his son with a cheap chair shot but it backfired! David Flair ended up being floored!” Billy Kidman sends Ric Flair over the top rope with a Clothesline before heading to the top rope for the Shooting Star Press!! One...two...three! ***End footage*** Vader, Dean Malenko, David Flair and Bobby Heenan are shown standing by with Mean Gene Okerlund. Mean Gene, “Last night at Uncensored Ric Flair cost you the TV Title and then you walked out on him. You left him alone in the arena. You abandoned Ric Flair.” Heenan, “That’s right, we abandoned Ric Flair because he’s a liability. He’s too damned stupid to perform a simple task. All he had to do was crack that chair against Billy Kidman’s skull but he missed and cost us the TV Championship.” Ric Flair steps into view and gives Bobby Heenan a nasty look. Ric, “Would you care to say that to my face?” David, “He’s right, dad. You’re losing your marbles. You’re a liability to this team and to my career. Have you any idea the fame and the fortune that was robbed from me when I lost that title belt? You’re a screw-up, dad. Someone ought to teach you a lesson.” Ric, “Teach me a lesson? I don’t like your tone, boy.” David, “You don’t like my tone? I don’t like you...period. You’re not the living legend anymore. You’re not the Nature Boy anymore. You’re a washed up piece of trash that couldn’t even hit a man with a chair to save your own son’s career.” Ric, “You’ve got no idea what I can do with a steel chair, so don’t get on my nerves.” David, “Well then, why don’t you show me what you can do with a steel chair? I want to show you that I’m not just TV Championship material, I’m sixteen-time World Champion material. You brag about how you wrestled with the greatest. You wrestled with Hulk Hogan, Sting, Randy Savage, Rick Steamboat...even my man Vader. Well, imagine how history will remember the great Ric Flair when he doesn’t just get beaten by his own son, but when he gets beaten beyond belief by his own son! I’m going to finish you.” Ric, “I’m your father, damnit.” David, “No you’re not. You’re nothing. You’re a shadow of your former self. You’re washed up and you know it.” Ric, “I’m going to shove my fist down your throat...” David, “Save it for the Street Fight...you’ll need it.” The Heenan Family leave Ric Flair standing alone. [7:30 - 7:45] Billy Kidman is shown warming up for his match when Torrie approaches him. Kidman, “Torrie, again I’m going to ask you to stay in the locker room. Sean O’Haire is one seriously disturbed man and the last thing I want is for him to get his hands on you.” Torrie, “I’ll be fine, you go and show O’Haire that you would have won the TV Title with or without Ric Flair messing up that chair shot.” Kidman heads down the corridor and Shawn Stasiak arrives. Torrie wraps her arms around him. Torrie, “I’m going for a shower, want to come with me?” Stasiak, “Torrie, its important. Sean O’Haire is one twisted individual.” Torrie, “What’s he got to with this?” Stasiak, “He saw us last night, Torrie!” Torrie lets go of Shawn Stasiak and looks at him in shock. Stasiak, “He says that if I don’t do what he tells me to then he’ll let Billy find out about everything.” Torrie, “What do you mean?” Stasiak, “He wants me to be his slave or something and if I don’t do it then Billy’s going to find out about us.” Torrie, “Has he asked you to do anything?” Stasiak, “Not yet...but he’s going to.” Torrie, “This is blackmail.” Stasiak, “I know...but what can we do about it?” Torrie, “We’ll have to end it. We can’t keep on seeing each other if he’s going to expose us like that.” Torrie Wilson enters her locker room and closes the door right in the face of Shawn Stasiak. TV Championship ‘The Devil’s Advocate’ Sean O'Haire vs Billy Kidman (c) Sean O'Haire's music plays over the PA system as he makes his way down to the ring to loud choruses of boos from the fans. Then the Filthy Animals music rolls and Billy Kidman makes his way to the ring. Surprisingly Torrie is not by his side. Both men are in the ring when the bell sounds. O'Haire and Kidman start out the match by locking up. O'Haire puts Kidman in a side headlock but Kidman quickly gets out of the headlock by throwing O'Haire into the ropes. Madden, "I wasn't sure if O'Haire was going to kick out." Kidman then gets up and he kicks O'Haire, who is still on the mat, in the gut. O'Haire climbs up to the second turnbuckle, stops for a moment to look around at the fans who are all booing him, and then climbs up to the top turnbuckle. O'Haire stands Kidman up and he sets him up for a superplex. Schiavione, "It looks like O'Haire is going for a superplex." Madden, "A superplex from O'Haire could easily finish Kidman off." O'Haire then is about to do the move when Kidman gets some punches in to O'Haire's gut. Kidman continues to punch O'Haire in the gut until O'Haire lets him go. Kidman then hits O'Haire with a huge left hand to the face that makes O'Haire teeter on the ropes. Kidman then hits O'Haire with another big left hand that puts O'Haire one step closer to falling off the top turnbuckle. O'Haire then begs with Kidman not to punch him again, while at the same time trying to keep his balance. Kidman then looks at the fans at they begin to cheer. Kidman smiles and then hits O'Haire with a huge right hand that knocks O'Haire off of the top turnbuckle and he hits the hard mat. Madden, "Did you hear that thud when O'Haire hit that mat. It sounded like an earthquake!" Kidman then looks around at the crowd and then at O'Haire. Kidman calls for the Shooting Star Press. He goes for it but O'Haire rolls out of the way and Kidman hits the mat. Madden, " I thought the thud when O'Haire hit the mat was big. I was wrong. Did you just hear how loud that was?" Schiavione, "I agree with you on that. The thud when Kidman hit the mat was thunderous. I think if he would have hit that Shooting Star Press he would have this match won." Both men lay there on the mat, seemingly lifeless. The referee starts a ten count, one...two...three...four...five...six...seven... O'Haire gets to his feet just a few seconds before Kidman. The two men walk over to each other and lock up. O'Haire takes control and whips Kidman into the ropes. When Kidman comes back at O'Haire he gets caught with a flapjack. O'Haire then gets down on the mat and rolls Kidman over onto his back. O'Haire goes for a cover and the referee gets down on the mat to do the count, 1...2... Kidman just gets his shoulder off of the mat. Schiavione, "That was a close one for Kidman." Madden, " We almost had a new TV Champion." O'Haire gets up onto his feet and begins to stomp Kidman in the gut. O'Haire gets up and he whips Kidman into the ropes. O'Haire goes for a back elbow smash but Kidman ducks under it. Kidman then runs right into the other ropes and he bounces off of them. He then comes back at O'Haire and goes for a cross body block but O'Haire catches him in his arms. O'Haire then hits Kidman with a fallaway slam. O'Haire then gets up and he walks over to Kidman. O'Haire then calls for the Cruel Intentions. O'Haire picks up Kidman and then sets him up for the Cruel Intentions. O'Haire walks around the ring with Kidman on his shoulders and then hits the Cruel Intentions. O'Haire then goes for a cover, one...two... Kidman just gets his shoulder off of the mat!! Madden, "I can't believe Kidman kicked out of that! I can't believe he kicked out!" Schiavione, "I think you under estimated Kidman." O'Haire then gets up and he begins to argue with the referee about the count. While O'Haire does that Kidman gets up to his feet. Kidman bounces off of the ropes and he hits O'Haire with a dropkick to the back that sends O'Haire forward into the referee. Kidman gets up onto his feet and her walks over to the corner. Kidman, who is still feeling the effects from O'Haire's Cruel Intentions, slowly begins his ascent up to the top turnbuckle. The crowd gets louder and louder as Kidman gets closer to the top turnbuckle. Kidman finally reaches the top turnbuckle and the crowd is about to erupt. Kidman jumps off of the top turnbuckle and he hits a Shooting Star Press on O'Haire. Another referee then runs down the ramp and gets into the ring. Kidman hooks the leg and goes for the pin. The referee does the count, one...two...three! Winner via pinfall in 7:32 and STILL TV Champion: Billy Kidman After the match the referee slides out of the ring and he gets the TV Championship from the timekeeper's table. He then slides back into the ring and he hands the belt to Kidman. Kidman grabs his belt and raises it in the air. Schiavione, "Kidman pulled off an impressive victory over Sean O'Haire, especially after he received the Cruel Intentions." Madden, "I thought O'Haire had the match won after he hit that, but I guess I was wrong. I have to give props to Kidman for this match. He impressed me." Kidman then slides out of the ring and he heads to the back just as Sean O'Haire is getting to his feet with a mad look on his face. Madden, "O'Haire doesn't look to happy about the outcome of this match." Schiavione, "Who would look happy after they lose a match?" Madden, "You have a point. But I think O'Haire might have a plan in mind to get revenge" [7:45 - 8:00] Street Fight ‘Nature Boy’ Ric Flair vs David Flair (Heenan Family) *WHOO!!!* The theme tune to ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’ hits the PA system and the thousands of fans greet Ric Flair with a mixed reaction. He makes his way through the curtain and down the aisle with his trademark robe. Slick Ric slips out of his robe and warms up against the ropes as he awaits the arrival of his opponent. Schiavione, “This can’t be easy for Ric Flair. He made his way to the ring to help out his son, miscalculated a chair shot and accidentally cost the Heenan Family the TV Championship.” Madden, “He was abandoned by his own son after that and then earlier on tonight he was pressured into this Street Fight against his own flesh and blood.” David Flair then arrives to an aggressive reception from the sold out crowd. David Flair heads down the aisle and stops to stare into the eyes of his father. David Flair then retrieves a steel chair and folds it down before circling the ringside area. He finally crawls into the squared circle and locks glares with Ric Flair. The Nature Boy’s expression shows that he doesn’t want to take his own son to the limit in a Street Fight. Ric extends a hand for David accept. The fans watch on with anticipation. Finally David Flair drops the steel chair and shakes hands with his father. Both men are beaming with smiles. The enter a hug and David Flair raises his father’s arm in a gesture of respect. Suddenly David tackles Ric Flair with a Clothesline!! Schiavione, “Oh no! That was a trap! David Flair lured Ric into that Clothesline and as much as Ric hates to be involved in this match...the Street Fight has begun.” Ric pulls on David’s T-shirt for support as he struggles to stand but is knocked back to the canvas with a right hand. David Flair kicks Ric in the face with his boot before lifting up the Nature Boy and firing some punches. David Flair takes down Ric before lifting up the steel chair. He stalks his opponent and eventually swings at the Nature Boy. Slick Ric ducks and begins to unload with a barrage of knife-edged chops as the thousands upon thousands of fans cheer on the Nature Boy. Ric then heads for an Irish Whip but is pulled into a Knee Lift. David Flair clubs his father around the head before getting some shots to the face. He then applies a headlock but Ric launches him into the ropes and takes down his opponent upon return with a Shoulder Block. Schiavione, “Ric Flair was pressured into the match, now he’s got to finish it with as little harm as possible being done.” Madden, “He should look to use scientific wrestling rather than the hardcore brawling that we know Ric Flair is capable of.” Schiavione, “Indeed, Royal Rumble 2002 was the event at which Ric Flair and Vince McMahon tore the house down in a Street Fight.” Ric Flair gets the Snapmare and follows it up with a Reverse Chin Lock. Flair continues to apply the pressure but David Flair powers onto his feet and begins to launch some elbows to the gut. Finally David Flair breaks free of his father’s grasp and nails a kick to the midsection. The younger Flair somehow scores a DDT for the two count. He then stomps on the fallen body of Ric Flair. David Flair takes hold of his steel chair and cracks it against the skull of his own father, showing no remorse. David Flair then sends the chair into the face of Slick Ric with a Knee Drop before getting another count of two. David Flair applies an illegal chokehold but the Nature Boy gets a rake to the eyes. He then fires some chops as he struggles to stand and finally whips David Flair into the Flapjack onto the ropes. Ric dives into the knee of his son with a Shoulder Block before firing some stomps at the joint. Flair lands an Elbow Drop before applying some more pressure to the knee. Schiavione, “There you can see that Ric Flair wants to keep this match wrestling orientated and he does not want it to turn into a brawl in which he’ll have to use hardcore tactics against his own son.” Madden, “His son doesn’t have any problem using hardcore tactics against his father.” Ric Flair looks for the Figure-4 but David forces his feet into the Nature Boy, sending him into the ropes. David gets a roll up for the one...two...he stands up. David Flair shakes his head and then lifts the steel chair. Slick Ric uses the ropes to help balance himself and then staggers right into a chair shot across the skull. David brings the chair down hard across Ric’s body before Elbow Dropping it into his heart. The Nature Boy rolls out of the ring for a breather but is taken down with a Baseball Slide. David Flair steps onto the apron and dives to ringside with a flying chair shot!! Ric stumbles around ringside and has the foreign object knifed into his gut. His son then sets up the chair before using it to bust his father wide open with the DDT. Schiavione, “Ric Flair’s face is masked with blood. How can a son brutalise his father like this?” David slaps Ric about at ringside. He boots him in the small of the back and hooks him across the skull. David Flair then whips Ric into the metal steps before locking on an illegal chokehold. He takes the metal steps and drives them into his father’s face. David then whips Ric into the guard-rail before catching him with a Monkey Flip onto the steps. David Flair throws Ric back into the ring and goes to the top rope. Somehow Slick Ric catches David with a Body Press Slam into the ring for a near fall. The fans get behind the Nature Boy as he mows down David Flair with one Clothesline after another and then lands a Vertical Suplex for the one...two...thre- kick out! The bloodied and bruised Ric Flair hits the ropes and crushes his son with a Knee Drop before bringing his trademark robe into the ring. The Nature Boy wraps the robe around David’s neck and tries to choke him out. David manages to power onto his feet and elbow Ric in the gut. He then fires some right hands leading to a Spinning Punch that floors Slick Ric. Schiavione, “David Flair is on fire here and I’ve never seen him put so much effort into a match.” Madden, “Yeah but this is a match against his own father.” Schiavione, “I realise that. Something is seriously wrong here. Ric Flair favours mat wrestling and traditional manoeuvres but David Flair is taking full advantage of the Street Fight rules and is brutalising his father.” David Flair stomps on the fallen Ric Flair before hitting an Arm Drag. He follows it up with another and another but Slick Ric finally cements his feet on the ground and mows down his son with a Clothesline across the chest. Ric Flair picks up David and sends him to the canvas with the Snapmare. He then waits for David to try sitting up before hitting a Drop Kick to the back. Ric Flair hooks the leg and gets a two count. The fans applaud him climbing to the top rope. He soars through the air for a Double Axe Handle but is caught with a kick to the midsection. Fighting against the pain in his knee and the pain in his back, David Flair sends his father crashing to the surface of the ring with a Scoop Slam. David then retrieves a lead pipe from under the ring and swings it at Ric Flair. The Nature Boy ducks and from behind hits a Back Suplex for the near fall. Ric is furious so he argues with the referee, trying to make out that it was a three count. The referee holds up two fingers and in his anger Ric lifts the discarded lead pipe. He stands over his son and holds the lead pipe in the air but can’t bring himself to assault his own flesh and blood. David Flair repays his father with a low blow. Schiavione, “No! Ric Flair had shown mercy and compassion but what did he get for it? I’ll tell you what, a cheap shot right between the legs.” David tries choking out Ric with the lead pipe before using it to help deliver a Russian Leg Sweep. David Flair climbs to the second rope and lands a Double Elbow Drop for a one count. Ric fires right hands as he arises before rearing up for a Clothesline. Ric Flair hits the ropes but David Flair uses his own momentum against him by tossing him all the way to ringside. At ringside David stomps on Ric before pulling a table from under the ring!! David sets up the table and lays Ric across it. He then climbs onto the apron as the fans throw trash at him. Madden, “He’s going to drive his own father through that table!” Suddenly Bobby ‘the Brain’ Heenan, Dean Malenko and Vader head down the aisle to boos from the audience. Bobby is showing David the ‘time out’ gesture. David gives him a perplexed look as Dean Malenko tries to help him down off of the apron. Schiavione, “The Heenan Family want to bring an end to the carnage. Maybe they do have some shred of decency after all?” Vader then steps in and mows down Dean Malenko with a CLOTHESLINE!! The entire arena is in a state of shock! Vader lifts up Dean Malenko and throws him into the ring as Bobby Heenan watches on helplessly. The Mastadon pulverises Dean Malenko with a BIG VAN POWER BOMB!! Vader heads back to ringside and takes hold of Bobby ‘the Brain’ Heenan by the throat before throwing him to the aisle. Heenan scurries to the locker room and Dean Malenko is laid out in the middle of the ring. David Flair then soars off of the apron and through the air with a Flying Elbow Drop!! David puts his father right through the table!! [8:00 - 8:15] Schiavione, “I cannot believe what we have just been bearing witness to. First of all Bobby Heenan manipulates David Flair’s mind until he challenges his own father to a Street Fight! Ric tries to go for more conventional mat wrestling rather than brawl with his own flesh and blood but David Flair has other ideas. David Flair uses the lead pipe, the steel chair and he even puts his own father through a table.” Madden, “But what really struck me as shocking was that when the Heenan Family called for a time out, Vader took them apart. Vader assaulted both Dean Malenko and Bobby Heenan and allowed David Flair to continue brutalising his own father.” Ric Flair lies in the wreckage of a table as David Flair and Vader stand over his broken body.
