ECW's New Faces Volume 2Story By: Chris Bacon June 22, 2003 ECW’s New Faces Volume 2 June 22, 2003 Written by: Gary Freeland Some new faces have debuted in ECW that you might not know so I decided to post a new edition of ECW’s New Faces. American Dragon Aberdeen, Washington, 5’10, 190lbs. The American Dragon is currently ranked as the best Independent Wrestler in the United States. He graduated from the Shawn Michaels Wrestling Academy in 1999 and gained a WWE developmental deal after only being in wrestling for 2 years. In 2001 American Dragon won the King of the Indies tournament defeating the likes of Spanky, Chris Daniels, and Low Ki. American Dragon currently wrestles for Ring of Honor and All-Pro Wrestling. The Messiah Los Angeles, California, 6’, 225lbs. The Messiah made his mark in XPW. He came in as a character against everything Hardcore but soon became one of the most hardcore wrestlers ever to grace the ring. The Messiah was then fired from XPW in late 2001 due to owner Rob Black catching Messiah sleeping with his girlfriend. Mysteriously two months later, Messiah was attacked and had a thumb cut off in his apartment. It was never proved to be Black’s doing but it is widely believed that it was. Anyway this did not stop Messiah as he still wrestles today, now for CZW. He uses a reverse death valley driver named ‘Fall From Grace’ as his finisher. Simon Diamond Richmond, Virginia, 6’2, 230lbs. Simon Diamond was destined as ECW’s ‘Next Big Star’ before its shutdown in 2001. Before the shutdown he was in the successful team with Swinger. He currently works for WWA and is doing quite well. He has the look and talent of a Main Event Star. He uses the Diamond Dust and ‘Problem Solver’ as finishing maneuvers. CW Anderson Charlotte, NC, 6’1, 255lbs. If there was ever a throwback wrestler in ECW it would be CW Anderson. CW is a model of his close relative Arn Anderson using many of his same moves and mannerisms. Now that CW has found a home in the Triple Threat, he might further his career in the path of relative Arn by becoming the ‘Enforcer’ of the most elite group in ECW. Mike Modest San Francisco, California, 5’10, 224lbs. Mike Modest is one of the best indy wrestlers in the US. Mike Modest has always been considered as a wrestler too big to be a cruiserweight and too small to be a heavyweight, but has all the tools to become a major force in professional wrestling. He has wrestled for various companies including Japan’s NOAH, UPW, Pro Wrestling Iron, and even had brief appearances on wCw before its closing. You can also see Mike Modest in action on the Pro Wrestling documentary Beyond the Mat as he wrestles a dark match for the WWE. I am doing my best to make ECW a fan friendly wrestling organization. If there is anything that you want to see or any opinions you have please send them to rfiwrestling4@hotmail.com. Also please check out WrestlePalooza!
