[8:00-8:15]

The fireworks blare and the new Raw theme song ‘Fuel’ by Metallica fills the sold out arena. Ross, “What a spectacular night it is going to be as a new era in wrestling has begun. Tonight after much waited anticipation the WWF has finally be resurrected and it is all thanks to this woman who makes her way to the ring right now.” ‘Bring Me To Life’ by Evanescence hits as owner Stephanie McMahon makes her way to the ring. Stephanie enters and grabs a mic from the ring announcer Lilian Garcia. Stephanie, “Tradition. What is tradition? A long time ago tradition meant something in this company. It was the lifestyle in and out of the ring. Tonight tradition is reborn. Tonight we drop the entertainment horse crap: all the interviews, all the talking, all the boring pre-match activities. Tonight we bring back wrestling. Over the last two months I have worked out a deal with my father and brother to divide up the companies and the talent. Shane took over NWA, my father brought back and now owns ECW and I have taken full control of the WWF. I have combined WWE and WWF after the brand split to bring back the best wrestling federation that ever existed-the WWF. Tonight we will see the unification of many titles, experience the new talent in the WWF, eliminate all the garbage that the brand split had brought upon us and bring back good old fashion wrestling. First, I will discuss the matches for tonight as there will be a double main event. In the first main event the WWE Heavyweight Champion Chris Jericho will defend his title against ‘Stonecold’ Steve Austin. In the second main event the WWF Heavyweight Champion Bret ‘Hitman’ Hart will defend his title against the Big Show. The two winners will then square off at the end of the month pay per view ‘Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust’ to declare one WWF Undisputed Heavyweight Champion. Also tonight we will start the first round of the North Atlantic Championship Tournament. Many of you fans must be asking yourself just what the hell the North Atlantic Title is, well I can answer that for you. See the North Atlantic title is the unification of the WWF Intercontinental Title and the WWE United States Title. We will have eight competitors in this tournament. Tonight we will have the first two our of four first round matches as ‘The Most Dangerous Man’ Ken Shamrock will take on Booker T and Ron ‘The Truth’ Killings will take on Justin Credible. There will also be Cruiserweight action as Rey Mysterio will go one on one with Elix Skipper. The Tag Team division will see some action as well as a tag team from the past has reunited to take on the tandem of America’s Most Wanted. In singles action will also be Eric Angle verse Matt Hardy, and Diamond Dallas Page verse Nathan Jones. The second issue I will discuss is the titles that the WWF will have. As I mentioned before the WWF Undisputed Heavyweight Title, North Atlantic Title, The Cruiserweight Title, Extreme Television Title which is a combination of the Hardcore Title and the Television Title, and Tag Team Titles. Raw and Smackdown will be three hours long every week so you the beloved fans of wrestling get to view three hours filled of nothing but wrestling. The last thing I will announce is that on Smackdown I will be announcing the new General Manager for the WWF. This General Manager will make all the decisions on Raw and Smackdown and can only be overruled by me. With that said, we begin a new chapter in professional wrestling. One that will be recorded in the record books and will be remembered as the start of a new revolution—this revolution is called the WWF.” Ross, “Strong words from our new owner as tonight marks the return of the WWF- Stephanie McMahon style.” Cole, “I don’t like it already.”

‘The NEW American Hero’ Eric Angle Vs. Matt Hardy

“Downfall” by Trust Company blasts through the arena as Matt Hardy makes his way to the ring with HUGE pops from the crowd. JR, “Matt Hardy is looking very confident heading into this one on one bout with young Eric Angle.” Cole, “As well he should be considering this is Eric’s first match here in the WWF.” “Bleed American” by Jimmy Eat World is blown over the loudspeakers as Eric Angle makes his way down the ramp with mixed reactions from the sold out crowd. Eric enters the ring, and the bell sounds. The two competitors are slow to begin the match, and take their time to lock up. Cole, “Both men seem to be feeling each other out a little bit before they start.” Finally, they lock up in a collar and elbow tie up. A test of strength ensues, but Eric Angle gets the upper hand, and pushes Hardy into the turnbuckle. The ref starts to count to 5 and Angle is forced to break the hold, but not before getting in a cheap punch in, to the crowd’s dismay. JR, “What a cheap shot by Angle.” Cole, “It looks like he took a page out of his older brother’s book there.” Matt Hardy responds with big right hands of his own that knock Angle to the ropes. Hardy goes for an Irish whip, but Angle counters into one of his own, and on the rebound, scores a belly to belly suplex that sends Hardy crashing across the canvas. The ref begins the ten count. Angle is the first to his feet. He nails Hardy with a right hand, but Hardy retaliates with one of his own. They begin to exchange right hands. Angle gains the advantage and goes for a standing clothesline, but Hardy ducks it and lands a big Side Effect on Angle. Hardy gets yet another cover…1…2…th…Angle gets the shoulder up at the last second. Hardy begins to get frustrated, and goes for another Side Effect, but this time, Angle counters it with elbows to the head, and then turns Hardy around into an Angle Slam! Cole, “Angle Slam! This could be it!” Angle hooks the leg…1…2…thre…NO! Hardy JUST gets his shoulder off the mat! JR, “YES!!! MATT HARDY KICKED OUT!!!” Angle is livid, and threatens the ref that it was a three count. Meanwhile, Hardy gets a roll up on Angle…1…2…Angle kicks out again. JR, “Eric Angle just won’t stay down!” Angle gets up and LEVELS Hardy with a vicious clothesline. Angle then rolls over and locks in a half boston crab in the center of the ring. Cole, “He has that boston crab locked in! Hardy might tap!” Hardy’s face is filled with pain, and it looks as though he’s about to tap out, but then from nowhere, he lunges to the ropes and grabs a hold of the bottom one, forcing Angle to break the hold. Angle is reluctant, but eventually releases it. Angle picks up Hardy, and Irish whips him into the turnbuckle. He charges at him, but Hardy moves at the last second, and Angle drives into the steel post. Hardy capitalizes, kicks Angle in the gut, and NAILS the Twist of Fate! Cole, “TWIST OF FATE! THIS HAS GOT TO BE IT!” Hardy gets the cover…1…2…thre…NO! Angle kicks out AGAIN! JR, “MY GOD!!! Finally Angle let’s the hold go and exits the ring. He walks up the ramp jumping in celebration. Ross, “What an excellent first match and great way to start off the new era in professional wrestling. Angle proved to be the better man as Hardy tapped out.” Cole, “I told you Angle would win. He has what it takes to be successful in wrestling today. Look for him to be a champion some day.” Ross, “Right Cole, anyway on the next issue as we take a short commercial break and watch a preview for the upcoming pay per view ‘Ashes to Ashes, Dust to Dust.’ Let’s take a look and then we will be back with the Cruiserweight match.”

Cruiserweight Singles Match
Rey Mysterio Jr. Vs. Elix Skipper

“X Gonna Give it to Ya” by DMX plays over the loud speakers as Elix Skipper steps to the ring. JR, “Are you ready for some Cruiserweight action, Michael?” Cole, “This match should be a great one.” JR, “Indeed. We have a rookie making his debut here in the WWF going against a veteran of the Cruiserweight circuit.” Cole, “Elix Skipper should not be overlooked. He was a part of WCW and their fine Cruiserweight division.” JR, “But he has a mighty tall mountain to climb if he wants to beat Rey Mysterio Jr. Rey has redefined the Cruiserweight division.” Cole, “Rey Mysterio Jr. is in a class all by himself, JR.” Suddenly, Mask move all over the TitanTron and then “619” by Jim Johnston is heard and out pops from underneath the stage, Rey Mysterio Jr. Rey is wearing his colorful pants and mask as he makes his way to the ring with the crowd going absolutely nuts. The two combatants go for a quick elbow-collar tie-up and Elix moves Rey over to a turnbuckle. The ref then separates the opponents, but he is not able to see Elix give a thumb to the eye on Rey. JR, “That was a cheap move on Elix Skipper’s part.” Elix then backs away as the ref is pushing him out of the way, but he then charges right at Rey Mysterio. Rey flips out of the way and Elix goes sternum first into the turnbuckle. While Elix is dazed, Rey jumps on the second rope and hops off hitting Elix with a neck breaker. Rey goes for the quick cover. 1………..…..2…………..Kick-out. JR, “The match almost ended right there.” Cole, “That is what is so dangerous about Rey Mysterio. He is so versatile that he get a three count at any time during a match.” Elix sits up and Rey bounces off the ropes to hit a dropkick right in Elix’s face. While Elix is lying on the ground, Rey moves quickly to the outside of the ropes. He then jumps up on the top rope and goes for an Asai Moonsault, but Elix has come to senses and moves out of the way. Cole, “Ouch! That is going to hurt come tomorrow, JR.” Rey goes chest first straight into the canvas. Elix then begins to pound away on Rey and then Irish whips him into the ropes. He then ducks and hits Rey with a huge back body drop. He quickly moves over to Rey and applies a surfboard stretch in the middle of the ring. The ref begins to ask Rey if he wants to tap and Rey continually shakes his head. Elix then moves Rey’s arm closer and makes the hold that much more painful. After what seems like forever, Rey slowly begins to his feet. He then drops on his back and does an inverted monkey flip where Elix goes flying across the ring. Wisely, Elix goes to the outside and to catch a breather. Elix is stumbling around on the outside when Rey bounces off one of the ropes and jumps through the ropes with a suicide dive. JR, “Rey Mysterio is putting his life on the line to win this match.” Cole, “Rey flew through those ropes to hit Elix Skipper.” Both men are obviously in pain, but it seems that Elix is getting up first. Elix then picks up Rey and carries him a bear hug position. He then runs straight into the ring post where Rey’s back crashes into the steel. Elix then quickly tackles Rey into the barrier on the outside. The ref is counting, so Elix wisely rolls into the ring to break up the count and then rolls back on the outside. He then continues his attack on Rey by Irish whipping Rey straight into the steel steps. Rey falls on his face on the outside. Elix then climbs the barrier on the outside and hits a dropkick on the back of Rey Mysterio’s head. Elix then picks up Rey and moves him to inside of the ring. He goes for the cover. 1………………2……………Kick-Out. JR, “Rey just got enough energy to kick-out of that pin fall.” Elix then picks up Rey and hits a back breaker on him. He continues to hold him and hits another back breaker. Elix picks up Rey high above his head and crashes him down on his knee to hit a third back breaker. JR, “Elix is putting most of his attack on Rey’s back.” Cole, “It is a very smart move, JR. Rey has been wrestling for many years and Elix knows that Rey’s back is one of his weak points.” Elix then moves to continue his attack on Rey, but Rey hits him with a jawbreaker. He then quickly gets to his feet and hits Elix with a face buster. JR, “But Elix just cannot compare to Rey’s speed and agility.” Both men fall to the mat as the ref then begins to make his count. 1…………………..2……………………3……………………….4……………………5…………………..6……………………7……………………….8……….. Both men then make it to their feet and they come to blows with another. Rey gets the advantage and hits a sunset flip, which he holds for the pin. 1…………………..2…………..THR-Kick out! Rey then quickly moves over to Elix and clasps on a camel clutch in the middle of the ring. The ref asks Elix if he wants to tap as Rey straps on the painful submission even tighter. But, ever so slowly, Elix begins to make his way to the ropes. He is slowly crawling even with the pain of Rey keeping that tight grip of that camel clutch submission move. JR, “What a great show of strength for Elix Skipper to be even moving with Rey having that submission move on top of him.” Finally, Elix makes it to the ropes and he grasps it with his outstretched arm. The ref then forces Rey to let go of his hold. Elix falls to exhaustion on the second rope as Rey looks around and the crowd begins to stand in anticipation of what is coming next. Cole, “JR, I don’t know if Elix has any energy left and we all know what is coming.” Rey bounces off the ropes and then hits Elix with a 619!!! JR, “619! 619! 619!” Rey then lands on the apron of the ring and jumps off the top rope with the WEST COAST POP! Cole, “WEST COAST POP! This match is over!” Rey then goes for the cover. 1…………….2………………3! JR, “Rey Mysterio has won his first match in the new era of the WWF!” Cole, “Rey has made a good case on why he is the King of all Cruiserweights!”

Winner by Pin Fall in 13:56: Rey Mysterio Jr.

Cole, “This is the first Quarter-final match in the tournament for the newly resurrected North Atlantic Championship, and it features two of the most decorated athletes in professional wrestling.” JR, “That’s exactly right Michael, this is definitely going to be a high explosive match up, as both of these men have very unorthodox offenses.” Cole, “The winner of this match will go on to face the winner of Thursday’s match between Buff Bagwell and Test next week on RAW” “This is not” by Static-X booms through the arena as Ken Shamrock enters the stage with more HUGE pops from the audience. JR, “It’s no secret that both of these men are fan favorites, and the crowd could play a key role in the momentum of this match considering this is the first meeting for these two athletes.” The bell sounds and the match is on. The crowd is still cheering as the competitors begin to circle each other trying to gain an upper hand. Shamrock is the first to strike as he locks Booker into a side headlock, then into a go behind, followed by an rear arm bar. Booker tries to counter, but before he can, Shamrock scores a beautiful back suplex from the arm bar position. JR, “What an awesome display of power from Ken Shamrock.” Shamrock goes for a cover, but Booker kicks out quick. Shamrock picks up Booker, and goes for an Irish whip, but Booker counters into one of his own, and on the rebound scores a big flapjack that shakes the ring. Booker begins to unleash with right hands and chops that echo through the arena. Booker charges off the opposite rope and goes for a clothesline, but Shamrock counters into a back body drop over the top rope that sends Booker crashing to the outside. Shamrock leaves the ring and begins to nail Booker with hard kicks and right hands. The ref begins the ten count. JR, “Shamrock needs to get back into the ring before he gets himself counted out.” Shamrock lifts up Booker and Irish whips him into the steel steps which booms through the arena. Shamrock then rolls Booker back into the ring and goes for a cover…1…2…Booker kicks out. Shamrock begins to nail Booker with elbow drops to the gut. Shamrock goes for another cover…1…2…Booker gets the shoulder up. JR, “Those quick pin falls seem to be wearing Booker T out.” Cole, “He needs to get some offense going or this one could be over quick.” Shamrock picks up Booker and Irish whips him into the ropes. On the recoil, Shamrock locks in a sleeper hold. JR, “Uh oh…this is a dangerous move especially coming from Shamrock.” Booker is fading quickly and is brought down to one knee. It looks as though Booker is unconscious, and the ref begins to raise his arm…1…Cole, “Two more and Booker is through!”…2…Booker lifts his arm on the third drop, and the crowd is wild. Booker lands some elbows to the gut of Shamrock, and pushes him off with an Irish whip. On the bounce back, Booker nails a big time spinning heel kick that sends Shamrock to the mat. Cole, “It might be time for the Scissors Kick!” Booker bounces off the ropes and LANDS the Scissors Kick! JR, “THIS HAS GOTTA BE IT!” Booker hooks the leg…1…2…thre…NO! Shamrock SOMEHOW kicks out! JR, “What resilience by Shamrock to kick out of that!” Booker is shocked, but remains focused. He lifts up Shamrock and Irish whips him into the turnbuckle, but Shamrock counters into one of his own. Booker crashes into the turnbuckle, and Shamrock charges and goes for a clothesline, but Booker ducks and SCORES the Bookend! Cole, “WOW! WHAT A COUNTER!” Instead of getting the pin, Booker instead looks at his hand and signals to the crowd for a Spin-a-roonie. JR, “Don’t waste time Booker! You have this thing won!” While Booker is in the middle of the Spin-a-roonie, Shamrock nips up and meets Booker with a takedown and the Ankle Lock! Cole, “SHAMROCK HAS THE ANKLE LOCK LOCKED IN!” Booker counters out of it by turning over onto his back and kicking Shamrock off, but Shamrock jumps back up and locks in the Ankle Lock again. Booker gets to the ropes, but Shamrock pulls him off, and Booker has no choice but to tap. JR, “SHAMROCK DID IT! WHAT A COSTLY MISTAKE BY BOOKER T!”

Tag Team Match
America’s Most Wanted Vs. ?????????

Suddenly, “Cowboy” by Kid Rock and out comes the America’s Most Wanted, James Storm and Chris Harris. JR, “It is time for some tag team action. We have the young and upcoming team of America’s Most Wanted-featuring, James Storm and Chris Harris. Their opponents are…” Cole, “What’s wrong, JR?” JR, “It says here that we don’t know who their opponents.” Cole, “Then I wonder who this mystery team could be.” The entire crowd is looking to the TitanTron to find out who this mystery team is. Suddenly, “Total Elimination” by Harry Slash & The Slashtones begins to play. Cole, “No it can’t be. I thought they hated one another.” But then, out from the behind the curtain steps Perry Saturn and John Kronus, THE ELIMINATORS. The crowd is going nuts as JR is screaming his head off. JR, “I CANNOT BELIEVE WHAT I’M SEEING! THE ELIMINATORS ARE IN THE WWF! Perry Saturn and John Kronus must have settled their differences and have reformed the Eliminators.” Cole, “The Tag Team division has sure picked up, JR.” The Eliminators sprint to the ring and they come to blows with America’s Most Wanted. Both members of each team are slugging it out in the middle of the ring as they are beating the hell out of one another. Perry Saturn and James Storm are slugging it out while Christopher Harris and John Kronus are beating the tar out of one another. John Kronus gets the early advantage and throws Christopher Harris out of the ring. Saturn then throws Storm against the ropes and Kronus helps with a double-face buster. Kronus then goes to his corner while Saturn tries to put the rings of Saturn on James Storm. JR, “Saturn is trying to get this match over with very quickly.” Storm quickly moves to the ropes and Perry is forced to break the move. Saturn then moves to his corner and tags in Kronus. John then picks up Storm and throws him against the ropes and hits him a hard-hitting spine buster. Cole, “Shades of Arn Anderson from that spine buster.” Kronus then goes for the cover. 1……….2……Kick-Out. John then sets up Storm in a sitting position and applies a headlock. Kronus wraps his arm around Storm’s neck tighter and tighter. Storm slowly moves himself to the ropes and finally gets enough room to put his foot on the bottom rope. JR, “What great ring presence by the young, James Storm.” The ref then forces Kronus to break the move, but he just moves Storm to the middle of the ring and applies the hold much stronger. Storm then finds enough strength inside of him to get both of them to their feet. He then reaches deep down and reaches behind him to Kronus with a snapmare takedown. Storm then lunges to his corner and tags in Christopher Harris. Harris then charges at Kronus and connects with a clothesline. Kronus pops back up and Harris then hits him with another clothesline. Kronus pops up again and Harris tries to hit him with another clothesline, but John hits a release arm drag instead. JR, “Once too many for the young, Christopher Harris.” Cole, “Be easy on him, JR. He’s still learning.” Harris gets up and Kronus is there to meet him with a dropkick, but Harris steps out of the way and Kronus falls to the mat. Cole, “See, even veterans make mistakes every now and then.” Christopher then takes the advantage and mounts Kronus and begins pounding away on his head. The ref is forced to pull Harris off of Kronus. Both men get to their feet and Harris throws Kronus into the ropes. Kronus bounces off and Daniels hits him with a huge back body drop. Harris then pulls Kronus into an one-legged Boston Crab. John’s back is in major pain as Harris puts more pressure on the lower back. Out of nowhere, James Storm comes flying off the top rope and hits a leg drop on the back of Kronus’ head. JR, “Wow! What a great tag team maneuver shown here by the America’s Most Wanted.” Storm then tags himself in and picks up Kronus. He then picks up him and does a textbook suplex. Storm then picks up Kronus and throws him out of the ring. Storm soaks up the crowd booing him as Kronus lays in a pile of heap against the ring barrier. JR, “This crowd has sure turned on the America’s Most Wanted.” Cole, “How would you react if your beloved Eliminators were getting beaten up by these newcomers?” Storm finally follows Kronus to the outside and he picks him and throws him against the steel steps. A loud thud can be heard throughout the arena as Kronus’ shoulder crashes against the steel steps. Storm then walks over to Kronus as he lies on the floor. He then picks him up and bear hug position and runs into the steel ring post. Kronus back hits the unforgiving ring post as he falls to the floor once again. Storm wisely throws Kronus into the ring and goes for the cover. 1……2…….THR-KICK OUT! JR, “I thought that was it.” Cole, “So did I. John need to make a tag and quick.” While Kronus is lying on the mat, Storm climbs the turnbuckle. He poses on the top turnbuckle for a while and then jumps off. Suddenly, at the last second, Kronus moves out of the way and Storm hits nothing but canvas. Both men are lying on the ring as Saturn is banging on the top turnbuckle wanting to get tagged in. The ref begins to make his count. 1………2………….3………..4…………5……..6……….7. Both men begin to stir and they both make it to their corners, simultaneously tagging in each of their partners. Harris runs at Saturn looking to hit him with a clothesline, but Perry ducks and hits Harris with a neck breaker. Saturn brings Harris to his feet and then hits him with a release German suplex. Storm is up and charges at Saturn. Saturn moves out of the way and Storm hits his chest against the turnbuckles. Saturn then grabs Storm from behind and hits him with another release German suplex. Kronus is up as well and moves over to Storm and begins to stomp a mud-hole into him. Both of those men fall outside the ring and we are left with Saturn and Harris. Harris moves over to Saturn and he is about to hit, the Angel Wings. NO! Suddenly, Saturn reverses the move and applies the Rings of Saturn in the middle of the ring. Harris has no way to go. Saturn latches on the painful submission move as Harris tries to move to the ropes. JR, “Will he tap?” Cole, “Harris can’t stay in that move forever. The pain has got to be killing him.” Harris is just inches from the ropes. He is about to grab them when his hand smacks down on the canvas and he TAPS OUT!!! JR, “It’s over! HE TAPPED! HE TAPPED!” The crowd erupts in sheer jubilation as the bell sounds and the Eliminators are awarded the victory. They walk to the back, as James Storm looks over Christopher Harris.

THIS COULD END IT EARLY!” Killings gets the cover…1…2…Bill Alfonso comes from nowhere, and places Credible’s foot on the bottom rope, and the ref stops the count. JR, “DAMMIT! Killings had this won!” Killings, looking furious, slides out of the ring and begins chasing Alfonso around the outside. Alfonso slides into the ring, with Killings not far after, only to be greeted with a kick to the gut by Credible, and a HUGE Impact DDT! Instead of getting the pin, Credible signals to the crowd for the That’s Incredible. Cole, “Uh oh… Credible is signaling for the end…If he nails the That’s Incredible it might be over for Killings!” Credible picks up the lifeless body of Killings, and hoists him onto his shoulders. He is about to nail the That’s Incredible, but somehow, Killings counters with a roll up…1…2…thr…NO! Credible JUST got his shoulder up! JR, “What an awesome counter by Ron Killings!” Both men are up and Credible goes for a clothesline. CREDIBLE JUST GOT TURNED INSIDE OUT!!!” Killings weakly crawls over to the body of Credible, and slowly hooks his leg…1…2…thre…NO! Credible kicks out! JR, “How in God’s name did Credible kick out of that?!?” Killings complains to the ref that it was a three count. He keeps focus and picks up Credible to a vertical base. Killings bounces off the ropes and goes for a spinning heel kick, but Credible ducks, and Killings inadvertently takes out the ref. Cole, “Oh no…Ron Killings accidentally took out Tim White!” Killings checks to see if the ref is ok. Meanwhile, Alfonso slips Credible a steel chair under the ropes. JR, “Oh God…Alfonso just gave Credible a steel chair! This could get ugly!” Just as Killings turns around, Credible LEVELS Killings with a vicious chair shot that echoes throughout the arena.
