Austin Predicts CM Punk Will Return to WWE at WrestleMania XXX

– On Steve Austin’s latest podcast, he sticks to his prediction that CM Punk will return to WWE at WrestleMania XXX. Austin said:

“I’m telling you, I’m going to stick to my prediction that CM Punk is going to make his return at WrestleMania 30 in New Orleans. I made this prediction two months ago here on the show. It’s been a long time, I think he’s cooled his jets, he’s got some rest, and I think it’s time to get back to work. I don’t see him participating in a match but it would be great to see him in a run-in to establish himself, to entrench himself immediately in a memorable and just a great moment, and I would say plant himself firmly in the middle of an angle, because he would be the angle, by attacking whoever he sees fit to attack or asserting his presence rather, whatever the case may be. But I see CM Punk coming back at WrestleMania 30. Who knows if it will happen. We will know in about six short days when WrestleMania actually happens.”

    • I don’t know Kasey. Honestly It’s just as Austin said when this first happen, “why pass up money” especially Vince’s money. I for sure wouldn’t and plus now they need punk back. Face it WWE can’t continue without punk right now, they need him. Bryan is going to be champion, now imagine his first challenger to be CM Punk instead of Crappy Overrated Cena. That sounds good to me. Trust me, Punk is coming back and he is going to make noise

        • Nope, I don’t mean continue like still being around. I mean continue in terms of offering an amazing product. I would change my statement if WWE was being smart with the other great talent that they have, but let’s face it, they aren’t. They want like 4 top guys and that’s all they want to rotate, and looking at what they have now, it’s only bryan, cena, orton, and batista (whose leaving). If that’s all they want at the top then they are in for a whole disappointment. Cena’s time is up, Orton can’t live up to potential, and batista just flat our sucks. You need Punks draw and star power. That’s what I mean Eyam Ova-Urazis, hope I explained myself better. Your opinion on it is welcomed

          • I agree they shouldn’t continue pushing the same few guys, but that’s the writers’ fault. There is talent on the roster, but it’s not being used. CM Punk is great. I think he’s a d***, but he’s an asset to WWE. I hope he comes back and I think he’d be stupid not to. But they don’t “need” him. Somebody else needs to step up. And thank you for the civil conversation, a rarity around here.

  1. its been the plan since he “”Disappeared and quit”” yeah whatever–he never quit he never got into it with corporate–this has been the ultimate “job” by everyone involved—you all thinking this is all real—i like entertainment—and i watch every week but—anyone who thinks he really left—-they have two words for you—-grow up

  2. One of the main reasons Punk left was because he wanted to headline WrestleMania (that and not being able to rest his nagging injuries). So him agreeing to come back for a “run in” at WM seems highly unlikely. Would love to see him back, but I don’t hold out much hope.

  3. IF (and it’s a big IF) he comes back, it should be to take out DB after DB wins the title, setting up a long feud between the two. Their matches would be unbelievable. Won’t happen, but would be cool. They could battle all year long trading the title back and forth, with a final battle in the main event at WM 31, which would make Punk happy at least.

  4. This what is going to happen Daniel Bryant will become the new champion and cm punk will return to challenge after his match they will have a good match until cm punk cheats to win. That making him a heel again and setting up for Bryant and punk rivalry
