Backstage News on Punk, More on Fans Hijacking NXT , WWE Classics

- Today is the last day that WWE’s Classics On Demand service will run.

- It’s worth noting that Triple H did not make an appearance in front of the rowdy crowd at last night’s WWE NXT TV tapings at Full Sail University. Regarding the CM Punk chants that we reported on last night, one fan wrote to us and described it as one of the most disrespectful things they have ever seen from a wrestling crowd. Fans were chanting for Punk during other wrestler entrances and during their matches. Another fan said it had to be a nerve-wracking night for WWE officials because of the Punk fans.

- Regarding Punk’s status with WWE, several sources reiterate that this is not part of some big storyline. It’s always possible that Punk and WWE officials will come to terms and the whole thing could played off as an angle but as of right now, that is not the case at all.

First the Royal Rumble crowd and their disrespect and now this. Why do they just ruin good matches for example John Cena vs Randy Orton

    • allan

john cena vs orton recked themselves that match was almost at bad as the tlc one

      • Sean

why was it so bad though. Was it because it didn’t have arm bars and wristlocks. It was a great match something ive seen from the best wrestlers in WWE for years including triple h Shawn Michaels Stone Cold and The Rock.I would rather see that than some crap wrestling match which has no hint of entertainment in it

  • James MacKay

They are making their voices heard. Good on them. They obviously know what they are wanting. I don’t think it’s disrespectful when they all know full well that CM Punk is the biggest thing to hit WWE since Stone Cold and The Rock.

    • Timothy Graham

They can let their feelings be known by boycotting events, not by ruining the show for other people.

      • James MacKay

Nope wrong. Boycotting events will only tell WWE what people don’t want. Going to the Event and telling the WWE how they feel is good. WWE still gets paid and so do the other wrestlers.

        • Timothy Graham

You might have a point if the issues haven’t been been brought up time and time again.

    • allan

how would unfeel if u worked your ass off and all they did was chant for punk on a show hes not even on, it is disrespectful

      • James MacKay

I seriously wouldn’t care. I’m not a pro wrestler so I cant really tell you the answer to your question….. however….with CM Punk on a pay per view….more people are paying to see him…..so if I was on that pay per view, or that house show, or that TV….then I guess I’d be thankful they were chanting his name throughout the show…….means a bigger pay day for everyone does it now?

    • Sean

Ah so that makes it okay for people to disrespect all the wrestlers who are working their ass off to entertain them and make money

      • Ronald Ryan

so what are you saying people don’t have the right
to speak there mine what work all they do is talk yes cm punk did a lot of talking to but at least he was more entertaining when he wrestling people like him gave the fans what they wanted

        • Sean

he done the same thing as John Cena, Sheamus and all the other baby faces are doing except kicked a bit more. Okay he was awesome on the mic and I am a CM Punk fan but to be honest why hijack shows and practically ruin matches and affect the other superstars not their fault he left

          • Ronald Ryan

that’s fans right if they paid to see cm punk and want to see stars like punk and bryan on top why not let there voices be heard its there right

          • Sean

Well that’s true fans deserve a voice but that’s not an excuse to ruin matches and these fans do ruin matches because all they want is Punk and Bryan in the main event. Punk has spat his dummy out the pram because once again Punk wants to be the best and didn’t get it. Ziggler has had the exact same ordeal got pushed then dropped but he’s still their. The Miz, Kofi Kingston, R Truth, Wade Barrett, Ryback, Curtis Axel even all got pushed and now are mid card but are all still their working their ass off to be the top but Punk being the selfish asshole he is thought well if I cant be the best then ill just leave then. He maybe should have been the top guy but WWE fucked it up but hey why doesn’t he just do what everyone has done and try to get back their.

  • CamaroKing

People are tried of the same old product. People want something new and there making there voices heard because of it. WWE does not listen to there fans they do what they believe is best

I can no doubt believe that if the main event for wrestlemania is randy orton vs bootista than there gonna get booed out of the building

Its a new day and age

WWE needs to get with the times and give the people what they truly deserve and that is good quality entertainment

  • Ronald Ryan

they have a right to speak there minds when there getting shafted so yes CM PUNK LOUD AND CLEAR AND PERSONALLY I WOULD LOVE TO SEE FANS TO JUST GET UP AND WALK OUT DURING AN EVENT THE PEOPLE IN CHARGE NEED TO START LISTENING MORE AND ENOUGH WITH THEY WANT ITS WANT WE WANT THAT MATTERS HOW I WISH TED TURNER WOULD START UP ANOTHER WCW OR SOMETHING ELSE TO GIVE THE WWE A BETTER REASON TO START LISTENING TO FANS

    • Sean

so everyone just wants shitty Indy stars who do chin locks and arm bars yeah that sounds awesome

  • fmdof

How disrespectful. Cm punk walked out on his fans, no reason to hijack nxt. Wether you think wwe is to blame or not, is all an opinion. It doesn’t change the fact that he walked out on all of you. He coulda been a grown up and talked things through, or just deal with it till his contract was done.

    • allan

      he did no one listened

    • RossBill

The WWE walked out on his fans. They buried him over the past year with 5 major PPV defeats following his title run and had him work hurt for most of that time. They kept him out of the title hunt, while giving Cena the belt right after he returned, and Batista a WM title shot out of the blue. Punk saw the disrespect of HIM and his fans, and used this time to take a real break from the racket.

      • Sean

Still doesn’t give the right to fans to show severe disrespect to other wrestlers who didn’t show Punk this disrespect that people are adamant that goes on. Royal Rumble was ruined by the fans and so will this NXT be ruined by the fans because all they want to see is the same wrestler have a 3 hour or 1 hour match oh whoop whoop that sounds entertaining

  • allan

daniel bryan is doint the same thing it took alot to even get any pops on raw but daniel has thenwhole arena on there feet just saying yes

  • Zuckerton

“several sources reiterate that this is not part of some big storyline”

Who are these “sources” and how do we know if they’re reliable? Do they have some sort of inside information? Are these the same sources that said Daniel Bryan will face the Undertaker at WMXXX?

Furthermore, if it IS an angle, wouldn’t the best way to play it be to tell everyone it’s NOT an angle?
