As Championship Fighting Alliance (CFA) prepares for their second anniversary, they have decided to host an eight women’s 145 pound tournament with the opening round taking place this Saturday introduced by CFA promoter Jorge De La Noval. The winner of the tournament will leave with $20,000. CFA 10 is on March 2 from the Bank United Center in Coral Gables, FL and can be seen live via UStream.
“A lot of these girls are on top of the game,” said Noval to MMA Weekly. “Some of great wrestlers, great boxers, great with jiu-jitsu; it’s a really mixed bag and we’re really excited to bring something different to the show.”
The tournament is as follows: Ashlee Evans-Smith vs. Tori Adams, Peggy Morgan vs. Revelina Berto, Fallon Fox vs. Ericka Newsome and Kelsey De Santis vs. Allanna Jones.
