UFC President Dana White, who has drawn many comparisons to Vince McMahon, revealed in an interview Friday night on Canadian French sports network RDS that the WWE promoter had once proposed that they fight.

While being interviewed by former NHL player Denis Gauthier, Jr., whose wife is the sister of former WWE wrestlers Jacques and Raymond Rougeau, Gauthier jokingly asked White who would reign supreme if he were to be locked up inside a steel cage with McMahon. The UFC figurehead revealed that the fantasy duel could have become a reality.

“Let me tell you something, and I’ve never said this before ever in any interview anywhere. If Vince hear’s this, he’s going to go nuts. Vince is too old, which he won’t think he is, and he’ll go crazy. And he wanted to [fight] one time,” remarked White.

“Vince wanted to fight me. Swear to God. Called me up and said, “Let’s do it.” We can either do it in the UFC, or let’s do it at WrestleMania. And I said, “You are crazy.”

White noted of the 67-year-old: “I always have said it, and I’ll say it again; I respect Vince very much. But Vince is too old to be fighting anybody.”

According to Wrestling Observer editor Dave Meltzer, McMahon had proposed that White fight him at the 2011 pay-per-view event WrestleMania XXVII. It was the WWE chief’s idea of a double main-event match—the other being John Cena vs. The Miz for the WWE Championship.

Please Vince would whip Dana’s ass even at his age. And what is Dana 43 and when Vince is 80 he will still be in better shape

    • delrvich

      Psst. Wrestling is scripted. Kayfabe.

      • allan mccann

only wwe and tna, most promotions are not scripted they cut there promos off there heads. you should say televised wrestling is scripted lol atleast you didnt say fake, to many injurys in wrestling to ever call it fake.

        • delrvich

Vince’s experience is kayfabe-based wresting, MMA is not so Vince would most likely lose repeatedly.

          • allan mccann

That’s a horrible arguement. Vince is in better shape and has been trained for years in fighting. Dana white is a flabby bitch who has done nothing but talk. Just because Vince runs we he can’t kick Dana’s ass??wtf dude there two men this has nothing to do with the company.

          • delrvich

Bah. Why argue over what will never happen?

  • shane

yeah wwe is scripted but at least they are honest about it, you know good and well ufc has money riding on it and the person that they want to win the fight wins the fight. every sport is rigged wwe just has the balls to admit it.

    • allan mccann

you even watch ufc…your an idiot..trust me they wouldnt let fights end in 2 mins and reck the whole ppv like they did before, it just happens cause its real, there have been some terrible outcomes in ufc that prove it cant be fake at all lol, wwe doesnt admit shit either and ufc doesnt cause its real fool
