Daniel Bryan Says He Wont Be In the 30-Man Battle Royal Match

Daniel Bryan was asked by ST Communities if he will be participating in the 30-man Battle Royal match at the Royal Rumble pay-per-view event.

“As of now, I’m not in the 30-man Royal Rumble match, I’m trying to get involved in it,” Bryan replied. “Triple H doesn’t want me anywhere in the Royal Rumble match.”

Bryan also mentioned in the interview that if he’s not wrestling for the WWE World Heavyweight title at WrestleMania, then he would like to face Triple H since he’s been keeping him away from his goals. As an alternative match to Triple H, he said he would also like a shot at The Undertaker’s streak.

  1. if he doesn’t get a shot a triple h He definitely won’t get a shot at the streak the streak is even bigger the wwe title now

    • Lesnar is challenging the streak this year (yeah they went with Lesnar), maybe next year but truth be told Taker might only have 2 or 3 years tops before it’s time to hang the boots.

      • true I just hope they let him retire undefeated
if anyone deserves that honor it is him for all he’s done for the wwe

  2. He is injured so he (and I mean WWE creative) might be using Triple H as an excuse not to have him in the match, still we have 2 months after the Rumble to find a way for him to be in the main event, and after that RAW ending 2 weeks ago the WWE won’t miss this chance to actually have a main event in Mania everyone wants.

    • Didn’t you watch RAW this week? He’s facing Bray Wyatt at the event, so he’s not too injured to compete.

My guess is that he will beat Wyatt and end up as a surprise entrant in the Royal Rumble.

      • I watched RAW, and saw a completely inactive Bryan, which means something will happen on Sunday that will make sure he is kept in good condition, just because a match is scheduled doesn’t mean it will actually happen.

        • Bryan attacked Bray Wyatt during the Wyatts match with the Usos. He didn’t compete in a match, but he wasn’t “completely inactive”.

And having Bryan enter at #30 or mid 20s and winning without taking too many bumps will keep him in good condition.

And although a scheduled match doesn’t always happen, I don’t think it’s something they’d advertise without being 95% sure that it would happen.

          • Sure, because WWE isn’t desperate to raise PPV byurates, they would never, eeeverrrr, advertise something they aren’t sure will happen. And yeah the fact he wasn’t touched once tells another story, even more that Bray sent a message over the ‘tron instead of being there himself. He is injured, he even missed every show last weekend and was taken off everything except for TV appearances to keep as fresh as possible for the PPV, and even then it’s not 100% sure he will see any action, chances are they will do the old “finding him laying unconscious on the ground” routine to take him off the match and give him a couple of days off, because that’s what WWE really does.
