Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney said when both guys are healthy a title fight would carry main event status for a pay-per-view, both fighters currently each own a victory against the other.
“Absolutely I’d do it again,” said Rebney at the post-fight press conference. “I’d do it in a heartbeat. Once they get healthy, I’d do that again in a heartbeat. That was unbelievable what I saw tonight. Once they’re both back 120 percent there’s nothing in the way of doing number three.”
Bellator’s first pay-per-view attempt was cut short less than two weeks before the event. Tito Ortiz suffered a neck injury and the promotion decided to air the main card for free on Spike TV.
