According to the Taunton Daily Gazette, former UFC fighter Josh Grispi was arrested twice in four days after allegedly assaulting his wife. Middleboro police officer Richard Harvey called “the worst case of domestic abuse I’ve ever seen.”
Grispi was arrested on Friday by the Middleboro Police Department on domestic abuse charges, and then released on $2,000 bail. He was then arrested again Monday on similar domestic abuse and assault charges. Middleboro police officer Richard Harvey says that in addition to the assaults, Grispi also allegedly trained his pet pit bull to attack his wife. She was reportedly “chewed up” and is currently being treated at a local hospital for serious injuries.
Police investigated Grispi’s home and discovered a “pot farm” along with numerous weapons and ammunition. When authorities arrived, they also found Grispi’s 3-year-old child, “sitting next to a box of unsecured guns and ammunition.”
The report notes that Grispi pleaded innocent to, “two counts of assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of violating a restraining order, animal cruelty, malicious damage to a motor vehicle, drug possession to cultivate marijuana and improper storage of a large capacity firearm and rifle or shotgun near a child” at a hearing on Tuesday.
Grispi is currently being held at the Plymouth House of Correction
