The World Series of Fighting (WSOF) is getting into WMMA by announcing the signing of Jessica Aguilar, one of the top pound-for-pound best female fighters in the world. Aguilar is expected to make her debut in January at 115 pounds. The 31-year-old has won seven in a row with majority of those for Bellator. In October, Aguilar defeated Megumi Fujii.
No current opponent is known yet.
WSOF vice president Ali Abdel-Aziz said there are no concrete plans to create a women’s division.
