Raw’s Social Media Score, Help the Make-A-Wish Foundation, More

- NJ.com published an article about investors keeping an eye on the success of this year’s WrestleMania. The article notes, PAA Research analyst Bradley Safalow doubted this year’s WrestleMania would garner more pay-per-view buys than last year’s show, and said that the decline in pay-per-view buys is why investors are anxiously awaiting for WWE to launch the network.

“If you go back to 2005, that was the peak for the company. They did 6 million pay-per-view buys that year,” said Safalow. “Some of the decline in pay-per-view is a function of ongoing trends in the media space. Some of it has to do with the company’s own creative arc in terms of relative popularity.”

- Monday’s Raw episode scored 306,530 in social media activity, compared to 288,262 last week. Raw remained below the 2013 average of 313,000. On cable TV Monday night, Raw easily ranked #1, but Raw trailed “The Voice” for the overall TV lead according to Trendrr.TV.
