Windsor and Detroit city officials have submitted a bid to host Wrestlemania 31 and/or Wrestlemania 32 according to BlackburnNews.com.
BlackburnNews is featuring a quote from Detroit Sports Commission Executive Director Dave Beachnau:
“It’s appealing because a lot of these international organizations draw from not just the United States or Canada but from around the world so there’s a certain appeal I think with a border that separates us that they can visit two nations in essentially one destination.”
Detroit last hosted Wrestlemania in 2007 at Ford Field. If the bid is successful promotional events leading up to Wrestlemania would be held in Windsor. The winning cities to host Wrestlemania 31 and 32 will be announced August 1st.
