Why We Likely Won’t See Cena vs. Wyatt at WM XXX, Batista News

Wyatts

- The Wrestling Observer Newsletter recently reported that Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena was the current plan for the main event at WrestleMania XXX but that’s not the case.

Word going around WWE is that Cena vs. Wyatt was not something discussed recently. The idea of doing that match came up over a month ago with the idea that Wyatt could win the Royal Rumble and challenge Cena for the title at WrestleMania XXX. However, this storyline was mapped out before WWE made the decision to unify the titles at TLC, before they made Randy Orton champion and before the announcement of Batista’s return.

There’s now a feeling within WWE that Batista will win the Rumble and challenge whoever has the title at WrestleMania XXX. This doesn’t mean that we won’t see Wyatt vs. Cena down the line, but most likely not at WrestleMania XXX as WWE has other plans for Cena at the big event.

The should allow Batista to challenge Cena, though not sure at Mania but still since Cena was his last contender, and in some ways the reason why he left in the first place.

  • Rob Damovieguy

The reason why Batista left WWE in first place was not because of Cena, but granted when he dropped Belt Cena did win title from him. The reason why Dave left WWE, because he was convinced he could fight MMA style ala UFC, but when Dana White didnt sign Batista, he tried to one fight in a sub UFC organization i forget which one, and i think he lost, thats why he is coming back to WWE cause he wants to save face and do what he was good at. I hope he does face Cena at Mania. Cause Cena will beat Orton at Rumble. If you remember that another wwe wrestler who left and was signed by Dana White was Brock Lesnar who did win UFC title but that experiment was dropped when Lesnar got ass whipped twice. Thats why Brock is back in WWE, well at least part time.

Brock left because he could have died in UFC whith hes disease, he was very succeessful there

      • Rob Damovieguy

That was an “excuse” that they used so Lesnar could save face. Lesnar has been fine since he has been back in WWE, he got beat twice and badly, after Dana White spent a boatload of money promoting him. When Vince came to him and offered him an opportunity to come back Lesnar jumped at chance, so they made up the whole disease thing with Dana White so Dana WHite could save face with Brock going back to WWE> you cant tell me that Brock if he was healthy should have lost those fights he was in. UFC is an oversizedversion of WWE is, Anderson Silva who was supposed to be unstoppable is currently their main clown, if someone who is unstoppable can get beat by a supposed nobody; and GSP still being champ despite getting beat in last UFC PPV??

The internet, where people usually have no clue what they are talking about, but spout off BS like it was a fact.

      • Rob Damovieguy

Ok and i know you are going to provide facts to us??

    • Carter Williams

I thought Batista won his first MMA fight? Pretty sure I read that on the MMA section of this site.

    My WM 30:
    CM Punk vs Triple H
    Randy Orton vs Sheamus
    John Cena vs The Undertaker
    Batista vs Brock Lesnar(c)

    • Rob Damovieguy

i would pay to see this card.

      • StarOne

It’s a very doable card: Royal Rumble: Batista wins the Rumble match. Cena beats Orton for the title.
Elimination Chamber: Lesnar def Cena for the title
Afterwards: Punk is still set on HHH sickin the shield on him and demands HHH fights his own battles.
Sheamus returns and wants to prove that Orton is only the face of the company because he was on the shelf
Cena wants Taker because it’s never happen at Mania and only happen a couple times ever. Taker accepts because he knows this will be the true test of today’s biggest star versus today’s biggest streak.

Batista vs Cena for the belt at WrestleMania. Really? Didn’t we just see this a coupla years ago? PLEASE tell me that’s not where they’re headed. Much as I dislike Lesnar, I’d rather see Lesnar vs Orton for the belt. At least that’s something we haven’t seen. And THAT would sell PPVs. Why would fans pay big $ for something they’ve seen already? Come on, WWE. Y’all gotta stop recycling the same stuff over and over and give fans something original. ESPECIALLY on PPVs you’re wanting fans to dig into their wallets for.

Surely Batista can’t win the Rumble, it would be an absolute kick in the face to Daniel Bryan who after being built up all Summer should finally get a title run in 2014. Batista V Lesnar in a street fight at WM30 would be my personal choice. If Batista wins the Rumble and/or Lesnar wins the belt as he said he wanted to on Raw, I doubt I’ll bother watching WM30 or maybe even WWE altogether. It has to be Orton V Bryan for the belt so their rivalry from last year can come full circle.
