Join us for live coverage of Smackdown Live tonight at 8/7c immediately followed by Mixed Match Challenge on Facebook Live, and of course 205 Live on the WWE Network.

As expected, Kid Rock will be inducted into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame class of 2018 (DETAILS). I won’t say he doesn’t “deserve” the accolade, because it’s a Hall of Fame for a business that specializes in make-believe, and considering some of the names they have it there, it literally doesn’t matter. Let’s just hope, for the company’s sake, that the infinitely controversial rock star can go without drunkenly assaulting someone or going on an offensive transphobic rant in the middle of his acceptance speech.

Last night’s WWE RAW was a damn good show with a couple of bumps in the road, and some really bad decision-making by WWE that turned portions of the live crowd against them. On the plus side we had another terrific in-ring promo from Roman Reigns, possibly the best of his entire career. We also had a captivating segment with John Cena as he worked the hell out of everyone in that arena. Another good (but brutally real) segment building up Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss for WrestleMania in addition to some fine wrestling throughout the 3-hour broadcast made for an enjoyable watch.

The problem was that for a third week in a row, WWE specifically promoted that Brock Lesnar would be on Monday Night RAW. They also released a statement just LAST WEEK that claimed Ronda Rousey would be on every single episode of RAW heading into WrestleMania. Neither showed up. Many fans who bought tickets to see the UFC icons were unhappy, and you have to admit that the old motto “the card is subject to change” is just code for “intentional fraud” at a certain point.
