4/13 PW Daily Report: CM Punk Returns to Chicago, Legends Night on IMPACT, Measles-Mania in NOLA, More

Rusev Day Has Been Cancelled

The Casket Match between Rusev and The Undertaker has now been turned into a Casket Match between Rusev and a returning Chris Jericho. The Bulgarian Brute had tweeted out “bury me softly, brother” in reference to the Deadman before being pulled from the match, and at this time it’s not known if he’ll even be competing in Saudi Arabia at the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble event. Rusev then removed all traces of WWE from his social media accounts and replaced his pictures with the poster of an indie film that he and Lana shot scenes for.

Measles-Mania is Running Wild, Brother

A fan in attendance at WrestleMania 34 has been hospitalized with a case of the measles. The fan is apparently from the UK and is being treated in a New Orleans hospital, while proper channels are working to alert all those who were in attendance at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome this past Sunday, and those who were on their flight to the United States. Measles is an incredibly contagious illness, so if you haven’t been vaccinated for the disease and happened to be around large groups of people in New Orleans this past weekend, get yourself checked out by a doctor if you begin to exhibit symptoms.

Legends Night on IMPACT Wrestling

It was an eventful night on IMPACT Wrestling this week as two legends – Scott Steiner and Tommy Dreamer – made surprise returns to insert themselves into big matches at the IMPACT Redemption pay-per-view on 4/22. Steiner will be teaming with Eli Drake of all people, to challenge for the tag titles as a part of Drake’s Feast or Fired briefcase being cashed in. Dreamer will join Eddie Edwards and Moose in a six-man “House of Hardcore” match against OVE, which is expected to be some kind of… well, hardcore match, obviously. Complete 4/12 IMPACT Wrestling results. We also got a Demon’s Dance match (basically a No DQ match) between Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary that was pretty badass, so all in all it was a solid episode.
