4/17 PW Daily Report: Cena & Nikki Split, Superstar Shakeup Begins, Miz to SD Live, Jeff Hardy a Double Grand Slam Champ?

Superstar Shakeup Rocks RAW

Night one of the Superstar Shakeup turned out to be hugely eventful, and not just because of the top tier names coming over from Smackdown Live. The biggest story of the night is arguably the acquisition of free agents Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn who were picked up on the order of Stephanie McMahon, potentially causing a nightmare scenario for their poor General Manager Kurt Angle. In exchange, Smackdown is getting The Miz sans Miztourage, who will be renewing his rivalry with Daniel Bryan – only this time the fans actually get a payoff from all that drama.

Jinder Mahal and the brothers Singh were announced as the very first trades this year, effectively bringing the U.S. Championship to Monday nights in another major story. He was immediately booked into a title match, in a stunning move Jeff Hardy – who returned to action just last week after a lengthy injury – defeated Jinder to win the belt. Their rematch is scheduled for The Greatest Royal Rumble special next Friday night.

Here’s our full detailed breakdown of all 20+ names who will now call Monday Night RAW their home. Join us for live coverage of Smackdown Live tonight at 8/7c where we’ll continue the Superstar Shakeup.

Nikki released a clip from the interview claiming that the two still have a great deal of respect and love for each other, although another report with undisclosed sources are saying the situation is a potentially. whole lot more messy than they’re letting on.
