AEW Dynamite Retains Wednesday Night Lead, But WWE NXT Was the Real Winner

All Elite Wrestling barely retained their lead this week in the Wednesday Night Wars, in the closest head-to-head battle so far.

Both shows were up from last week, where the final game of the World Series devastated everything on both network and cable television. AEW Dynamite was watched by 822,000 viewers, up 8% from last week but still significantly lower than the Oct. 23 edition. WWE NXT saw the biggest difference by far, shooting up 40% to 813,000 viewers.

Dynamite was #8 on cable for Wednesday night with a 0.35 rating in adults 18-49, dropping two spots despite the rating being up. NXT was #12 with a 0.3 rating. While AEW is up and that’s certainly not bad news, WWE is again the big winner this week jumping up a full 20 spots in the cable rankings and growing its rating by 67%.
