WWE Champion AJ Styles recently spoke with TMZ, and during the brief interview, which you can watch below, The Phenomenal one discussed Ronda Rousey signing with WWE.
Styles praised Rousey’s dominant career in UFC, and noted to TMZ that the former Champion should have no problem dominating WWE. Styles then likened Rousey to WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle, in that he thinks Rousey will be able to adapt to pro wrestling with ease similar to that of Kurt Angle.
“She’s an athlete. She can adapt. That’s what she does,” A.J. told TMZ Sports.
As noted, WWE announced on Raw last night that Ronda Rousey will be appearing at the Elimination Chamber PPV to officially sign her WWE deal, and below is an excerpt from WWE.com’s official announcement:
The squared circle is about to get rowdy! WWE Elimination Chamber will not only feature the first-ever Women’s Elimination Chamber Match, but it will also mark the official entry of iconic mixed martial artist Ronda Rousey into WWE as a Raw Superstar.
Rousey’s new life kicks off at WWE Elimination Chamber, but when you consider the chaotic nature of contract-signings in WWE, as well as all the attention that Rousey’s arrival has been garnishing in the WWE Universe and in the locker room, one has to wonder whether the special moment will indeed end in bedlam.
