An excellent match between Andrade and Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw was interrupted by yet another surprise attack – this time at the hands of Friday Night Smackdown’s Lucha House Party.
The referee ruled the match a disqualification in favor of Rollins, because the former Universal Champion was the first attacked, by the ruling effectively cost Andrade the opportunity to lead Team Raw into battle at Survivor Series. The “Kingslayer” had vowed to step aside this Sunday if El Idolo were able to defeat him.
The blue brand invasion didn’t last long, however, as Andrade and Rollins temporarily joined forces to chase off Kalisto & Co. While things didn’t exactly pan out as expected, it looked like Rollins may have actually offered his opponent a sign of respect after the post-match attack, stating that they would lock up again in the future.
Following the segment, Andrade and his associate Zelina Vega were interviewed backstage about both the surprise Smackdown attack, as well as Rollins coming to their aid in a somewhat surprising move. Zelina called the Lucha House Party “irrelevant”, as they weren’t the ones being interviewed. Check out the segment below.
