According to a report by Dave Meltzer, another former WWE Legend is in talks with working for New Japan Pro Wrestling, following the steps of Chris Jericho who competed at Wrestle Kingdom 12 this year.
Meltzer claims that future WWE Hall of Famer, Goldberg is the man who has been in talks with New Japan about potentially working several big dates. Below is a highlight of what Meltzer said on the situation, with a h/t to Cultaholic for the transcription:
“I don’t expect anything to happen right now, given Bill Goldberg is going into the WWE Hall of Fame and usually, that requires signing a short-term deal, but he was in talks with New Japan about coming in for big shows.”
As Meltzer states, wrestlers heading into the Hall of Fame are usually expected to sign a short-term deal and it is very unlikely that Goldberg will be doing anything with New Japan Pro Wrestling until at the very earliest, after WWE WrestleMania weekend.
