Brock Lesnar made his surprise return to the ring this weekend at WWE Hell in a Cell, literally kicking down the door to the Cell and destroying both Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman, stopping their main event match dead in its tracks.
The Beast Incarnate’s appearance was a shocker for a number of reasons – primarily because most believed his WWE deal was over at SummerSlam, but also because he is expected to return to the UFC for a major fight in early 2019.
On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that the reason Lesnar is back is that he is actually scheduled to work the unannounced Saudi Arabia show that is tentatively scheduled for Friday, November 2nd. WWE has yet to officially confirm the event, but as previously noted, Shawn Michaels is expected to come out of retirement at the same show for some sort of tag team program involving The Undertaker.
Additionally, Meltzer is reporting that Brock will indeed be returning to the UFC early next year and nothing has changed in that regard, but the money coming in from the Saudi Arabia deal was just too good to pass up.
