WWE has released backstage footage of Ronda Rousey’s broken right hand. The injury took place during her main event match versus Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 35. Rousey broke her hand while working over Becky’s midsection in the corner, when her pinky finger caught Lynch’s elbow.
This clip is part of a special that will air immediately after June 7’s Super ShowDown on the WWE Network. The 24 special is entitled Revolutionary: The Year of Ronda Rousey and follows the journey from her debut at WrestleMania 34 to her historic main event match at WrestleMania 35.
That main event saw women headline WrestleMania for the first time in company history. Lynch was white-hot at the time and walked away from the bout as the winner of both women’s titles.
Rousey has not performed in a WWE ring since her Raw Women’s Championship loss on The Grandest Stage of Them All. The Baddest Woman on the Planet is taking a break from the business and it’s unknown if or when she plans to come back to WWE.
