Since the announcement was made weeks ago that Ronda Rousey, who has only wrestled one match in WWE, will be getting her first WWE title shot against Nia Jax at Money in the Bank, there has been much speculation as to how the match will be booked.
Most fans believe the bout will not end in a clean finish, with some fans believing Stephanie McMahon will reemerge to cost Rousey the Raw Women’s Title, and others believe Natalya will be the one to turn on her friend Rousey and cost her the gold.
Bryan Alvarez noted on the most recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live that WWE has indeed changed plans for the length of the match at least twice heading into Sunday night.
“I do know that they’ve changed the length of the match, like the time of the [Ronda Rousey vs Nia Jax] match at least twice now, and maybe more”, explained Alvarez. “Before it was gonna be very quick now it’s not gonna be so quick. We’ll see if that changes again.”
It’s worth noting that with 11 matches on the WWE Money in the Bank card, and the PPV beginning one hour earlier, at 6pm EST, it’s likely there will not be enough time for all the bouts on the show to be full, PPV lengthed matches, making it possible one or more matches might be cut short.
