Backstage News on Why Daniel Bryan & The Miz Only Went Two Minutes at WWE Super Show-Down

Daniel Bryan and The Miz took their bitter rivalry to Melbourne, Australia last weekend to battle in front of 70,000 screaming fans, but many were shocked that the two superstars’ match only lasted about two-and-a-half minutes in total.

The brevity of the bout led to speculation that one or more of the competitors may have sustained an injury prior to WWE Super Show-Down, especially since Daniel Bryan accidentally connected with a top rope headbutt on last week’s Smackdown Live that could have led to a concussion.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, this time around all the rumor and speculation is unfounded because the match was always planned to run extremely short. The idea was to give Bryan the win in a way that would embarrass Miz, as seen on this week’s Smackdown with him being referred to as the “two-minute brand”.
