Backstage News On Why Renee Young Replaced Jonathan Coachman on WWE Raw, The Latest On Neville’s Status


As seen on WWE Raw last week, Renee Young made the permanent jump to the Raw commentary team, replacing Jonathan Coachman who previously held the role. Coachman will now lead the commentary team during the WWE PPV Kickoff shows, and his first appearance will be this Sunday night at the Hell in Cell PPV.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Young moving to the Raw commentary team was not a last minute decision as WWE had brought up Kayla Braxton from NXT to handle the backstage interviewing Young was previously doing before she was moved to the Raw commentary team.

As for the move itself, a big part of it had to do with WWE diversifying the commentary team, and the idea of adding a woman to the desk made sense given the way WWE is currently positioning women on TV.

The Latest On Neville’s In-Ring Status
