WWE SmackDown Live Women’s Champion, Becky Lynch was on the E&C Pod Of Awesomeness this week, discussing wanting to main event WrestleMania 35 and more.

On making history again at TLC:

“It feels incredible and this is what I set off to do. It’s rare you get to do it on this stage and it’s been one thing after the other it was changing the name of the Divas Title to the Women’s Title and then being the first ever SmackDown Women’s Champion and then being the first woman to main event SmackDown Live and do it in a steel cage match and it’s been rolling. If anyone questions why I call myself The Man it’s because I am making history, I am The Man.”

On Money In The Bank being her breakout moment:

“2017 wasn’t my best year by any stretch of the imagination but I never felt like I lost the fans at all, even though I wasn’t doing a lot on TV and they never turned their back on me or booed me, they always believed in me. Even if they got a little quieter it was because I wasn’t doing anything for them to rally behind. When it came to Money In The Bank they just showed their support in a way that was undeniable that made everyone turn around and say wait, she’s got something.”

On if she should main event WrestleMania 35:

“Absolutely. I will say it, for this reason, it;s not about gender it is about who are the most popular and interesting people on the roster and right now I can’t think of two people who have more interest in them than Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey and for that reason we should be the main event of WrestleMania. If anyone else can step up and drum up as much interest in the meantime then my goodness, please have at it. But it’s not going to happen because that is my spot and I’m not letting anyone else have it.”

If she wants Ronda to be her ‘Mania opponent:

“Absolutely I would want Ronda to be my opponent. In her sport, she was a pioneer and I do not think women would be in the UFC if it wasn’t for Ronda. When Ronda came in we saw a star that might not be matched again in MMA but that’s a different sport, this is my sport. Here she came in being born tough and this athletic creation that winning came so easily to her and she has picked up this game quicker than anyone I have ever seen. With that, there is a lot that I would want to prove to myself but to the entire world and that is that it’s one thing to be born tough, but it’s a whole different thing to be made tough like I am. I am going to prove which one is more long lasting and I am going to do it at WrestleMania, in the main event.”
